Epilogue 2
Becka, Kim, Detective Paul sat in the living room inside Muga’s mansion. Becka and Kim were there to help the Muga’s with the house chores and being Ian’s closest friends, they offered borrowed solace. Paul was there to brief them on the how the search for Ian was going.
Becka noticed that Paul’s other phone was ringing as the light was showing through the material of the trench coat he had been wearing.
“Detective, your phone is ringing.” Becka said.
“No, It’s not.” He said fishing out a phone from his breast pocket.” Paul responded.
“No, your other phone.” Becka said pointing his trench coat.
“I did not carry my other phone.” He said while picking up the phone from the trench coat.”
Immediately he received the call, it ended but the television set in the sitting room went live.
Maribel’s face appeared with a scared Ian cuffed to a chair.
“I do not have a lot of time detective. I wanted Becka but I got Ian
. It was something. This is me taking my end of the bargain.”
She pointed the gun towards Ian and fired two shots then his body went limp.
“Now we are even Becka.”
