Tomorrow - Episode 21

 

Ladies and gentlemen this is the moment we all have been waiting for, i must say i might have met this man before according to what he told me but i can't remember him although maybe when he comes out i would do but you all should be assured that you are in a safe hands. 

"I hereby present to you the new chairman of AK oil and gas Jason kambili". Eyes were moving all about to see who owns that name . Jason stepped out to the amazement and sadness of some as they all stood watching him. 
He got to where the outgoing chairman was and he said so it's you my P.A, I knew it right from time that there was something fishy about you. My people I am now super sure that all is well, with the few months i worked with this man his advice are top notch and i can take a bow and leave. Thank you all. 

Jason came out smiling to everyone. "I am so happy to witness this day, am so sorry for hiding this from everybody even my closest person. I wanted it to be a huge surprise to you all. It all started from a lecture and conviction to  invest into this company against all odds and warnings from various brokers".
Love was down with tears of joy in the hands of her mother. Martha and some other staffs were also crying but it was tears of fear of nemesis. 
Jason continued "before i continue i will like to introduce you all to someone".
He had already gotten a marriage proposal ring for Love

. "I cherish this individual so much, you have been a source of inspiration and Joy to me. When everyone rejected me you stood by me. If it was to be on class basis, I Am not even worthy to eat from your parent's dustbin but you fed me from their pot. Calling you an angel is an understatement, you are a God sent from heaven to me. You are the reason am standing here today and i will like to make us official because much of your support will be immensely needed to carry on.

So Love Aji will you marry me? Jason was on his knees saying this. Love still in tears screamed out YES from her seat. She ran to him and hugged him, the scene took a new look as everyone are in another shock. He put the ring on her finger and asked her to stand by him Until he finished his speech. 
The occasion ended and  everybody went home. The office was a bit tensed at Jason's first day at work as the CEO of  AK oil and gas. He had a meeting with the whole staff of all Lagos branch in which he put down his rules and regulations, goals and strategies. 
He also travelled round to do the same thing in other branches across the country. He was amazed to see different congratulations and apology letters. 
The former secretary who was a torn in his flesh then submitted her letter of resignation because she was not sure if Jason had forgiven her for all she did to him talk more of allowing her to continue in the company. Martha wanted to follow suit but her condition could not permit her. "Let fate have it's way in her words".
 
Jason selectively called all his victims to a close door meeting where they all thought it was finally over. 
"I called you all here to calm your nerves and put a stop to all this menace, like the saying goes that the evil you do follows you. Guilty conscience has eaten you all up. I haven't said anything to any of you but the evidence is so clear in you all". I am not asking any of you to leave but if you feel you can't cope with me, the door is vastly open for you, including you Martha. "Tomorrow is ever pregnant and what may come of it no one knows except our creator. I will not maltreat nor use my position or power to intimidate any one infact it's my duty to ensure your safety and well being in this company. I am Jason by name so let's start afresh. It was a sigh of relief for all of them even the ones that have tendered their resignation letter out of fear of being sacked. 
Jason  and Love got married few months later and they were blessed with quadruplets. He reconciled Martha and Uncle Charles together and sent his sister to study overseas.
