Why didn't you at least give me time to rest from the long journey. All this were only thoughts running through his mind. He never said anything out, he went into their bathroom in their 3 bedroom apartment rented by his big Uncle Charles.
His big Uncle Charles was a banker. He was transferred from Lagos to Kano to head a branch over there
. He was hardly available at home but visit once or twice in a month at weekends.
Jason was able to perform his first task properly. They all went to bed after prayer, this was a bit strange to Jason who only watched his grandmum pray to the gods she worshipped in their language before going to bed. Jason had gone to church on several occasions in the village with his friends. It was actually their attraction to some girls in the village that motivated them to attend churches on Sundays so as to be able to get along with the girls which they all did anyway. There was no serious relationship between him and God.
Due to the presence of his small Uncle Uche, things were extremely under control as there was need to press the panic button on him. He watched carefully to understand how they operated in his new home to master the process and stages

. Martha his uncle's wife sent him on errands giving him directions on how to locate the shops or super market. She who had also lived in the village knew that even though Jason was 12 yrs, he could handle people and bargain price so as not to be cheated. And he can manipulate his way out from evil people like kidnappers etc. Jason who was a an athlete in the village sprints to any location he was sent to and will be back within a short while.
Within a week of his stay, he had acquainted to his new environment, both with people and places. On some instances he was taken along by his uncle's wife to some of her customers incase they see him to know that she sent him.
On Sunday, they all went to church for service. Uncle Charles's family attended attends Christ Apostolic Church (CAC). Being a church family there was really no interrogation on Jason as whether he was born again or not but he just joined the train. New environment again, he was reserved and watched carefully at various activities. He lip sang along to the songs he was hearing for the first time in his life so as not to look lost. The service was awesome and the end of the minister's preaching, he called out to those who wants to dedicate their life to God to step forward. Jason wanted to join but to him he was a Christian since he had been to church several times in the village. He sat back till the grace was shared. They waited for Martha who was a teacher in the children's department. She came out and they went home leaving Uncle Uche behind who was in a meeting with the choristers.
Jason was happy with the situation of things and how he has adapted to the ever unchanging rules of his uncle's wife.
His nightmare started when his small Uncle Uche was about to leave for the university .
