My people, My People,

Isnur my fault - Na writers block and procrastination. I'm back for the jolly good ride. Forgive me...

Oyindamola hopped into her bunk and laid down. She slept till she was awoken by the sound of the bell indicating that dinner was ready. She jumped out of the bed and looked around . The room was dark. Oh, everybody has left, she said to herself and pushed her two legs into her slippers. She didn't get the memo in time. She made to open the door and noticed noises inside the wardrobe. She guessed it would be someone that didn't want to go for the dinner.

"Who is that?" She let out and her voice echoed back at her. Maybe it's a rat, she banged the door and made to the hallway, she diverted to the staircase. Immediately she placed her foot to walk down, she heard a noise that emanated from the repeated strike of high heeled pointed shoes at the hallway. She drifted backward and looked but didn't see anyone. She quickly ran down to the dining room. Everybody were seated on the chair with a table opposite them. Food were served minutes after and Oyindamola spent almost an hour before she was done.

"Can we go?" Ngozi asked. Ngozi tapped Oyindamola as she wasn't attentive

. She shook immediately.

"Oh okay," she said and they stood up and walked back to the dormitory. They all stayed in the room and cracked jokes. Yewande was the chief maker of jokes.

"Have you heard about Mrs. KoiKoi and bush baby?" A girl at the far end said with a not so loud voice.

"Yes," some chorused while others remained silent.

"My sister that attended FGC Sagamu told me about it. She said that Bush baby appeared in the night carrying a mat while running around their dormitory while the sound of Mrs. KoiKoi shoe scared them," another one said. Oyindamola freaked out and spared Ngozi a glance before staring at Tope(Sheila) and finally removed her eyes.

"I believe those stories are just fables and nothing else. We have never seen it," Yewande said.

"I think you guys are lucky in this school. That's why I left my former school FGC Enugu. We sneaked out of the school one night to get something outside and on our way back, we saw a big animal that looked like a monkey with a mat on its hand. It was really scary and freaky. We always hear the sound of Mrs. KoiKoi shoes. I guess it's only prevalent in unity schools," Ngozi said.

"Which schools are unity schools?" Tope(Sheila) asked.

"Arrgh. Who just talked now? You finally got off your high horse to talk to us, I'm impressed," Yewande said and looked down from the upper bunk.

"High horse? I'm really not proud. I'm just reserved," Tope said lowly. Shiela's spirit possessed her anytime she was inside the dormitory and at times at the other places.

"Well, Unity school is any Federal government colleges," Ngozi said.

"I think I saw Mrs. KoiKoi today," Oyindamola chirped in immediately. Everybody laughed and they made a joke out of it.

"Where please? You must be kidding," a girl said.

"It might be possible. You know she is possessed. Maybe she is seeing her people, biko," Yewande said and cackled.

"Well, you are entitled to your opinion," she tucked herself into her bed spread and slept off. Ngozi's eyes widened, "Oyindamola hardly talked and now that she did, she wouldn't be lying," she said to herself. She glanced at Oyindamola and she was already fast asleep. She looked around and everybody were trying to tuck themselves into their bedspreads. She stretched herself on the bed and tried to sleep but it wasn't forthcoming. She opened her eyes and continued staring at the upper bunk. The light was switched off immediately by the girl who was put in charge of it and the whole room became calm.

. It was almost about thirty minutes and Ngozi was still not asleep.

She noticed the door opened and made a squeaking sound. She freaked out. She wanted to scream but restrained herself. A little girl on a white gown that barely reached her knee walked in and the door closed immediately. She heard a noise at the corridor almost reaching their door, she wanted to stretch her hand to tap the girl that slept beside her after she tried waking the one at the upper bunk up but to no avail. The little girl eyes noticed the hand and ran to hold and break it off. A girl at the upper bunk screamed after she heard a sound, opened her eyes and saw someone. Ngozi screamed and jumped down at the other side of the bunk. Most people were awake and the girl disappeared immediately someone switched on the light.

"Nooo!!!" Oyindamola screeched and woke up looking all sweaty. Everybody gazed at her. Meanwhile, Tope was still fast asleep.
