Synder-Ella - Episode 27

 

The whole town was like a new world entirely, with brown roofing sheets forming a particular pattern all over.

As they got into the house the two couldn’t stop looking everywhere. Henry has read about poor people that live in the towns but no one has actually told him how wise they could be. Even though the house was not a mansion or built with bricks, you could easily tell by the painting that it was built with mud . They didn’t step on a cold concrete floor but on warm mats which were used in the place of a rug.

He could tell by the way Ella was looking that she, just like him has never been in such a house before. They were in a passage and no one was in the house.

Their host came in shortly after he had gone ahead to tie his donkey in its own safe place.

“Please, come with me.” He said and they followed him to a room which had comfortable wooden lounging chairs about three, an old-fashioned TV which has those big boxes at the back, a radio transmitter was at the top and there were two other stools.

“Sit down, my wife will soon be here. Let me get you a drinking water.” He said and Henry sat on the lounging chair while she sat on the stool.

Mr Garuba, as he had initially said was his name exited.

“Wow!” Henry said after he departed.

“Yea, wow!” Synder replied.

Before Henry could talk, Mr. Garuba brought in a clean metal bowl which was filled with water and handed to Henry who took it gratefully and waited for a cup...

“You have to drink from the bowl.” Mr

. Garuba said with a smile.

“Oh, okay.” Henry said before lifting the bowl to his lips while Synder hid a smile. The water was cold and refreshing. Then he handed to Synder.

“This is good. Do you have a refrigerator somewhere or how come the water is so cold like that? I don’t see any source of power supply.”

Mr. Garuba smiled, “we have a pot where we store our water, we call it ‘amu’ it is made with mud and this makes it cold during hot temperature like this, the water is cooler.”

“Oh my God! Rural life is the best.” Henry said excitedly, he was having the greatest adventure of his life.

Synder placed the bowl on the floor after having her fill.

“Thank you so much Mr. Garuba for your kind gesture. So when is your wife coming back?” Synder asked.

“Oh, she went to the market, everyone is trying to prepare for the seventh day, so she will soon be here, but while we wait, please, let me show you to your rooms. As you can see, it is a small house, so, you have to manage one room.”

“We will be happy to.

. You have done so much for us.” Henry said quickly before Synder could talk, then they stood up to follow the man.

“Let me out! You can’t keep me in here! Let me out of here!” Zichat screamed and shouted, banging her hands against the metal doors of the cell. She had been locked in for no good reason and she knew that Katrina was behind this.

“Katrina! You bitch! You will rot in hell!” She screamed as loudly as she could but no one responded to her and there was no one in sight. It was another place entirely, like the basement of the mansion, no one could hear her.

“This is so unfair! I didn’t do anything.” She cried, sitting on the floor. Her phone was in her car which was still outside, she didn’t know what to do and her friend could still be somewhere if not dead, she sighed and wept.

“That doesn’t fit you.”

She sprung up suddenly as she heard the voice say behind her. She couldn’t see anyone. She was the only one in the cell but then she realized the cell was actually bigger than she thought, there was a dark side, she was only in the area that had a ray of light.

“Who are you?” She demanded and the figure came out of the dark in the far end of the cell.

It was a young man in his early twenties whom she had seen before..oh right, in the phone she had found.

“I know you.” She said.

“Oh really! I don’t believe we have met.” Peter said jokingly, leaning against the wall.

“ I found a phone and, you, you were the one I was chatting with ...”

Peter frowned and stared at her...

“You are the superwoman who wanted to rescue Henry?”

“Henry? Who is Henry?”

“My friend, the one you said was kidnapped with your friend....wait, you found your friend didn’t you? Hold on...are you not the one who called the queen and demanded she gave you a particular something in return...”

“The queen?” Zichat asked, confused. “I don’t understand anything that is going on at all but one thing is that I didn’t call any queen, I tried to call you and I hung up and now...” She stopped as she remembered the picture of the queen. “Wait, the queen, is she real?”

“Yea, you are in the palace, don’t you know?”

“Oh my God! That bitch! Katrina did this for a reason...wait, so does that mean...you are not the prince?”

“No, my friend is.”

Zichat gasped excitedly. “Oh my God! Are you kidding me? That dude is a prince. Oh Good Lord! This is too good. Synder is with  the prince.” She cried for joy.

Peter watched in confusion, “who is Synder?”

“Well, she is my friend, the one who got kidnapped with your friend.”

“But I thought you already found her?”

“Well, I found the wrong person, Katrina was supposed to be here, seems she got kidnapped as well but not by the same people.”

Peter thought for a while...if Katrina had ended up in Henry’s plan and then Henry and this Synder had ended up in another's kidnaping, that would mean there were two groups involved.

“Oh man!” He said brushing a hand in hair...

“What is it?”

“I think there are two groups of kidnappers....”

“yea, I think so too and I followed them for a while before I got tired.”

“So you still remember the route they had taken?”

“Yea, like the back of my hand.”

“Then that means, we need to get out of here.”

“But how?”

“I have a plan, I couldn’t carry out cos I was the only one and now that you are here, we can do this together.”

“Okay, what do I need to do?”
