Michelle:

"Is he still following us?" I whisper to Rory.
"Yup. About two feets behind. Has been ten feet since we left the house. Should we lose him? I can get him lost if you want." Rory asks and I shake my head.
"Let him follow us. We don't want him thinking we are up to something. He could tell my father." I say.
"You have a point." Rory admits.
"There's a shop! You think they sell glasses? I feel like William can see through my act."
"Well, lets check it out . We can get brunch right after." Rory says as he takes my hand and guides me into the quaint shop. It's nothing extravagant but they pretty much have the necessities for a island community. Surf boards, swimsuits, sunscreen of different brands oh and glasses.
"There." I point to the glasses on the far end of the shop.
"Be careful. Your bodyguard just followed us in. You are not supposed to be able to see, remember?" Rory whisper yells.
"Fine. Fine. Guide me there then. I need glasses ASAP. My eyes hurt from trying not to blink too much." I complain. Rory takes my hand and takes me over to the rows of glasses.
"This one looks good. You should try it on." Rory pulls a dark shade off the rack and help balance it on my face.
"There

. How's that?" He asks and I shrug. It's not dark enough.
"You don't like it. What's wrong with this one? I think it looks cute on you." Rory points out.
"It's not dark enough." William comes up to say.
"Oh." Rory mouths and I nod.
"Here. Lets get rid of that." William slowly pull the glasses off my face, his breath hot on my forehead. He smells like mint. I try not to look up into his eyes. Trust me, it's hard! I direct my eyes to Rory who's glaring daggers at William's back.
"I have a feeling you don't like people seeing your eyes, Mich--umm Mara." William whispers into my ears. Call me Michelle, please. Call me baby! Jeez get it together you crazy woman.
"Umm I don't know what you mean." I say and step back a little.
"You sure?" he closes the gap between us. I think he's trying to catch my gaze.
"I'm pretty sure she wants you to back off man!" Rory comes between us and I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding.
"I just wanted to put this on for her." William pulls my glasses out of his pocket. Rory's eyes turn to look at me.
"She kindof left it in my office this morning. Here, you can put it on for her. I'll just go stand over there and do my job." William drops the glasses on a wooden table beside me and stalks off.
"I went to ask him to prepare breakfast this morning. Must have fallen off." My hand goes to tangle in my hair. Rory's eyes follows the movement. He grabs the glasses off the table and place it in my hand.
"We should go get the food. You said you are hungry."
"Rory I--"
"shhhh baby. You don't have to explain yourself to me. I want to set you free, remember? Now come on. I know a breakfast joint just across the street from here." he takes my hand and I don't say any more. I slip my glasses back on and bow my head down as we pass William. I Almost stop to punch the smirk on his face but I don't.
I just look forward as we cross to the other side of the street and into a small breakfast shop. The smell of pancakes hit my nostrils.
"Lets sit here." Rory takes my hand and pulls me into a chair by the entrance before settling himself in the chair opposite me.
"I love that I can finally do this with you, Mara." Rory says and I give him a warm smile. The sound of a chair dragging on the floor makes me turn around just to see William pulling a chair towards our table.
"Nice setting huh?" He says as he places the chair right beside me. I look up to see Rory frowning.
"What are you doing?" I seethe.
"Well, your dad says I should stay as close to you as I can at all time. To keep you safe." He drawls then actually have the nerve to wink at me.
"You are outrageous!" I spit.
"Just doing my job ma'am." He bows a little. I look up to Rory then to the heavens to find the patience I need to not strangle William right now.
"So, what are we having? I'll take that." William snatches the menu Rory was holding and start to look thoughtfully at it. Rory's brows shoot up at me and I mouth for him to calm down.
"Waiter!" William holler for a waiter and in records time one walks to our table.
"What do we get you?" The waiter asks politely.
"Umm we'll have pancakes for the lady and I. And milk. Can we have some orange juice as well?" William asks and I literally roll my eyes. He's ordering for me now.
"No, hold it. My fiance will order for me thank you very much Liam." I grind out.
"But you like pancakes and milk." William insists while the waiter looks uncomfortable by the passing moments.
"She'll get the pancakes and milk." William tells him.
"I don't like pancakes!" I snap loudly. The few people in the eatery start staring at us.
"You lied about your mother teaching you to eat it with milk then?"
"Don't talk about my mother, William."
"You shouldn't have lied about her then!" He snaps.
"You shouldn't have lied about your woman either!" I snap and slam my fist into the table. The vase topple off and roll to smash against the floor.

. The whole eatery goes silent. My eyes goes up to Rory who shakes his head. Jeez, I should get my head in order.
"I'll just leave you both to settle the score between yourselves." Rory says quietly as he fishes out a few bills out of his wallet and hand it to the waiter.
"That's for the vase." He stands without looking at me.
"Rory you shouldn't. He should be the one to leave!" I point to William who scowls.
"No, Mara. I feel like the third wheel in my own date!" He snaps.
"I'm--"
"No. It's fine. It's not your fault okay? I just need to clear my head. I'll call you okay?" He places a soft kiss on my jaw and I nod.
"I'm sorry." I say quietly.
"Just get home safe." Rory says and gives me a wry smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes. He so doesn't deserve this.
"Get her home safely." He tells William before walking out on us. My shoulders droop.
"We should get you home." William says and I scowl. Bastard
