Set me free - Episode 45

 

Rory:

"Damn it, move!" I slam my fist against the steering wheel. The road is full of traffic except for this piece of trash truck. I fire another text to the bodyguard when Mara doesn't pick up again. Please be there for her. The truck suddenly slows and I careen into it's back. I jump in my seat.
"Get out of the way!" I yell as I try to get the car in control and overtake the truck . Why does it keep blocking my path? I speed off and swerve to the right. It follows right after me.
"Hey! What's your problem?" I push my head out of the window to yell at the driver. A slender female middle finger comes out of the truck's window to flip me up. I recognize the ring on her middle finger. Jessica!
"Jessica?!" I step on my accelerator and drive beside the truck. I look inside and Jessica pull down dark glasses to smirk at me.
"What are you doing?!" I scream. She just smirks before slamming the truck into the side of my car. I almost fall off the edge of the road and into the water underneath.
"You are still a crap driver!" Jessica laughs as I manage to bring the car back on the road. I pick my phone and dial her number. It gets ignored

. I drive up close to the side of the truck.
"Stop the car, please." I plead.
"Jessica please let's talk." I continue. She turn the stereo up to deafening proportions. A metal band vibrates the tyres. she's not listening.
"Jessica!" I yell above the music.
"You have to get past me to get to her, Rory. That's the fun of this game." She yells to me.
"He's going to kill her!" I try to reason with her.
"That's her fate then. Just as it isn't our fate to be together."
"How did you get this heartless?" I can't help but ask.
"Love changes a person, I guess."
"This isn't the Jessica I know and love."
"Don't talk to me about love!" She divert her car and slam into me. I try to remain close to the truck but she slams into me again and my car lose control and spin a few time
"Jesus!!!" I scream. My airbag deploys to protect my face from slamming into the steering wheel but my side hurt from slamming into the door. 
"No no no! Jessie stop!" I scream when I notice the truck reverse and come at me with great speed. I try to get the car to start but it just coughs out smoke. I have to get out. The door is stuck. I slam my hurting side into the door but it doesn't bulge. I try the keys again. It coughs but starts up just in time for me to swerve out of her path.
"Oh my God!" I scream when I notice a trailer in my rearview mirror. Jessica's car looks out of control. They are going to crash! 
"Jessica!!!" The trailer slams the truck and push it off the road cliff in a deafening crash.
"No no no no." I push out the passenger's door and rush to the edge of the road. There's no sign of Jessica. Just the truck sinking fast inside the water.

William:

"Michelle!" I push through the back door into the beach house. It's dark and dead quiet.
"Michelle?" I turn on my cell phone torchlight. Everything looks like it did when Michelle and I left the house. I jump at the squeal of a rat and nearly drop my phone. The rat run out the door.
"Calm Down, William. She's fine. She's not dying too." I say to myself as I walk through the living room past the kitchen. Nobody. I hear crashing and my ears perk up. I find the light switch and turn it on. I notice dark spots on the rug.
"Blood." My own blood goes cold when I rub the liquid with my thumb and sniff it. Panic make tears sting the back of my eyes. I trace my steps back to the kitchen and grab a knife. I pause and grab another knife which I stuff into my pants. I wield the bigger one in my right hand as I tiptoe towards the room where I heard the crash.
 I reach the hallway and quickly hide when I notice the two men guiding Michelle's room door. How do I get in? If I call the cops, they would take me to jail instead. I bite down on my lips in contemplation.
"You see this poison, it just needs 5minutes and it will tear you up from inside. That's how much time you have to fess up. Now if you be a good girl, I'll give you the antidote, here. What's it going to be then?!" My eyes bulge out at the sound of poison. I can't hear Michelle's reply but knowing her, she's not going to back down. I have just 5minutes.
"Fuck it." I mutter as I dial 911 and alert them. Michelle is more important. Aurora's face flashes in my head before I throw my phone against the far wall to get the attention of the men at the door then readily wait for them to come get me.

Michelle:

"Did you even love her?" I ask, drowsy from the poison in my system.
"Where are they, girl? Your fiance and bodyguard " My father snarls instead. He pulls the syringe up into the light and frowns at it.
"That's the third shot. The next one wouldn't be pretty girl. Stop fighting it and give me what I want." He says.
"You don't deserve to say her name." I spit. His head snaps to my face.
"I don't?! I got her off the street! I saved your mother!" He snarls. His fingers dig into my arm and I bite my tongue against the pain. I won't let him hear my pain.
"Do you know what your mother did to repay my benevolence?"
"Benevolence my ass!" I snap. His palm cut across my face in a stinging slap. I gasp and fall to the floor, crashing into a glass by the side of my bed. The bottle bite into my skin. He pulls me up like a rag doll.
"She betrayed me. Like you have Michelle! You are both cunts!" He slaps me again.
"Now, I'll ask again. Where are they?!" I spit in his face.
"Bitch!" He pushes me to my bed. My weak limbs inhibiting my movement. I can't feel anything. I'm numb.
"I've had it with you." He mutters underneath his breath. I watch him fish a small case out of his suitcase.

. He pulls two pills out of the case. He looks down at me and smirks. I feel disgust and fear creep up my spine. Disgusts wins the battle and I spit at him again. His face curl in anger.
"You see this poison, it just needs 5minutes and it will tear you up from inside. That's how much time you have to fess up." He pushes one of the pills down my throat, his voice rising in anger, veins popping out of his head.
" Now if you be a good girl, I'll give you the antidote, here. What's it going to be then?!" I can't tell him anything. I don't even know where William is but I hope he's far away from this hurt. I close my eyes to the pain already shooting up my finger tips. Please, make it stop. Please.
