"....So that was how I woke up and found myself here" I concluded. Unable to meet his gaze since I know I must have sounded so crazy and he probably didn't even believe a single word I said . I wouldn't blame him, I didn't believe it at first too.

We were both silent and neither of us could say something. I waited and prayed for him to say anything but he just kept mute, starring at me like I was insane. I managed to look at him and I saw all the look I wanted to see..it broke my heart..I knew he didn't believe anything!

"Okay Miguel, you should forget everything I said,I know you didn't believe me and trust me I do not think anyone in their right senses would believe this too. I'm sorry for wasting your time or getting in the way of your mistresses and following you here...and for hoping things could work out..."

I felt so stupid because he was still silent and starring at me as his brows deepened into a frown.

I completely embarrassed myself and now I know I must have sounded so desperate..well..I should be..I barely have enough time left and nothing was working. Right now I have less than two weeks to my birthday , the way time has flown in this place was more than ordinary

. I had  spent almost one month and now I just ruined it al!

"I should go". I muttered to myself , blinking back my tears of shame . I stood up and was already walking away when he said-

"I always knew something was different about you . I always knew you were not the same person I got married to. You have the same look and you may even be prettier I don't know, but you have got different souls..or something else I don't know."

My heart was beating so fast as I stopped in my track and then I turned around .

"Are you saying you believe me?"

He acted as if he was in a deep thought then he shook his head.

"Not really but I believe my mother"

"Your mother?" I asked as I walked back to him. Now we were both standing.

"Yea" He nodded. "You see, I and my brother have always had a problem liking the same woman ! It started since we were small, even though we knew I was betrothed to you right from child, it made me so angry as my brother could have any woman and I couldn't so I kept sleeping with all the woman he had ever wanted. It is really not my fault though, I am very charming , I'm sure you noticed too!"

I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "So what happened?"

"I eloped with his fiance, someone he truly loved and I got banned from the palace and then I later got married to your sister or your doppelganger or whichever you want to call it"

I muffled a laughter.

"My mother was a card-reader, she believed so much in all these card and rinterpreting dreams thing, she spent so much time  and believed so much in it but she was sick for a long time. So she before she died she for the first time asked me to pick a card, then she  told me something would happen that is out of the ordinary in the future concerning my future wife and that, a time would come when I would loathe her so much like I did then, but that a time would come when someone else would take her place and I would be free to love but I would need to get over my pride and my stubbornness and look beyond my hatred because I would get married to two different people from different timing but I could only love one. So the trick is, which would I love? The right one or the wrong one? It didn't make any sense to me like what you just told me. I mean, who would believe such! So you are from 2025 and your birthday is in few days time? So what would happen on the day?"

"I don't know Miguel. I haven't thought of that?"

"So are you saying you want things to work out for us because of your people or because of your twin sister, I do not get that part"

I swallowed. That was a tricky question.

"Miguel.." I started.

. " I came here to right her wrongs..but, there was no way I could do that without making things right with you, with us..I didn't plan it..it just happened but, if it won't work, it is not a problem, we will just wait and see what happens"

"So are you saying you are cool if things don't work out between us?"

"I am saying, I wouldn't force you to do anything you do not want . I know you do not trust me and so many things have happened and you want the marriage to end. If that makes you happy, I think its okay . I would accept the failure and move on with my life in which ever time, I will be happy knowing I did all I could. "

He nodded. "Sure"

I felt a pang of pain in my heart as he said that. This should have worked out by now. What else do I need to do ! I have declared my own feelings to him..that was a very stupid mistake..maybe he didn't even love me like I wanted. Why would he anyways..I was just a version of a woman he loathed!

This was time wasting, It  was better I just went home. Just as I turned around again, I must not have heard him or maybe I did, but it was too late but all I felt was being hit, by some big animal and as I fell slowly as I heard a shot, then I saw Joe and the rest rushing out from the woods towards me.. Miguel must have caught me because it was his face I last saw as I drifted into nothingness....

HMMMMM....I THINK ALL MY STORIES HAVE ONE THING IN COMMON, SOMEONE IS ALWAYS FAINTING, LOL, EVEN THOUGH I PERSONALLY NEVER FAINTED BEFORE...
