Second Chance - Episode 23

MIGUEL

I don't think  have ever been this worried about someone like this in my life. Everyone was in our tent now but I had to sit outside. I just couldn't see her lying down like that and not opening her eyes.

I was so restless and so helpless. Joe had told me to wait outside.

How could someone be so blind and not have seen the boar! Even as she laid down unable to move, she was making me crazy.

"SHe's gonna be fine dude" Akeem said to me, patting me on the back.

"Thanks man".

My mind went back to the talk we had had today. SHe wanted everything to work for her people..It's good..probably even one  of the reasons she had thought she loved me was also for the people..this was so confusing and hard to figure out! Then she had said she didn't mind if things didn't work out. Then why stress yourself all this while if you were just going to give up Kathia! Plus, I still felt jealous the way she would do anything for her people! WHy not me! Why not for me!

I peeped through the entrance of the tent as she lay , a bandage was wrapped around her arm and Maimunat with Helen were attending to her. She looked so peaceful and so beautiful as she slept, then I remembered when I had found her in a towel...

No! I mustn't be thinking about that!

Some times later as it grew darker, everybody had gone to their tents remaining only Maimunat who came out to meet me.

"You have not eaten anything Miguel..are you sure you are not hungry/"

I smiled. I didn't even realize..

"How is she?"

"Better.she has opened her eyes. "

I heaved a sigh of relief.

"You should eat and get some sleep. she is fine now" Helen said to me as Joe came to take her away.

I had no idea to the reason why my heart was beating faster than normal as I entered the tent to see her.

I had wanted to be angry with her for being so careless and not looking out ..but seeing her as she was looking at me..I just went silent.

"Hi" she said weakly.

"Hey" I replied, clearing my throat as I took a stool and sat beside her.

I took her hand in mine...

"How are you feeling?"

"Like a boar attacked me' She chuckled and I smiled.

We both looked at each other for a while before I looked away...

"I ..." I started. "You got me so worried Kat..I don't think ...." I stopped again.

SHe smiled weakly. "I'm fine "

"Just quiet and let me talk" I said firmly and instead she chuckled.

"You got me so worried. I thought you would die. I swear to God if you had died, I would never have forgiven you!"

She chuckled more and I smiled while I brought her hand to my lips and kissed it.

She was looking at me and smiling and not even a little bit surprised...I was s tired of fighting my emotions..

"If you die, you would have left so many questions un-answered"

She frowned. "Like what?"

"Like..why do you have so much impact on me? Is this how it is to be in love with someone? Why do I want you so badly ..so badly that it hurts ? Do you love me for your people or for me? Did you come back for me? "

"I can be very stubborn Kathia and my ego is all I've got right now. I was banned ." I stopped again. 'I need to know, if this is our love or the love for your people."

She smiled again.

"Kiss me Miguel"

"Are you sure you are strong enough?" I asked even as I knew that was not going to hold me back.

She nodded.

I knelt beside her and lowering my head towards hers , I used my thumb to caress her cheek, marveling at the softness of her skin. Then I kissed her...

She was like an addiction, a drug in my veins, pumping in my bloodstream.

I kissed her softly, leaving all the questions to the wind..her taste was turning me on, her breathing..turning me on..

My brain kept sending me red alert..that she was weak and I should be gentle but...I couldn't, especially when she said.."More"

Her lashes fluttered as she closed her eyes, sighing as my tongue glided over her skin, on the long line of her neck ..then she shivered..

Damn! I had to stop

She must have felt I wanted to stop for she put her hand around my neck..the one which was bandaged..I felt she was telling me I could do anything , since her hurting arm was not in the way and then she pulled my other hand ..edging me on..I stood up slowly, not breaking the kiss and then lay beside her while she held me firmly.

I plundered her mouth, exploring with my tongue when I felt hers.  I exploded. My hands claimed her body, filled my palms with her full breast..cautiously..I wanted her so much I was afraid I might hurt her..I thought I wanted a sip, but now I wanted to drink all..

Then she bit my lower lip and sucked..her other hand went into my shirt, caressing the hair on my chest.

My muscles tensed as she nibbled on my ear and then bit me..I swallowed as I took her hand..then we both stopped ,,our breathing was in a synchrony....then we looked at each other..

she was so beautiful as she looked at me with desire...I was so lost in her spell but I knew I might wound her..she needed to heal first..

"You are so beautiful  Kathia and I want you so badly" I said before planting some kisses in between her cleavages..she shuddered

"But I do not want to hurt you..you need to heal first..."

She sighed and smiled,kissing my palm..then she nodded.

I kissed her on the forehead and adjust the blanket to cover her. Just as I motioned to stand..she caught my hand.

"Miguel..stay with me"

I smiled..it felt so wonderful.

Then I covered myself in the blanket as well and lay on my back as she rested her head on my chest. I put my arms around her..

"This is a beautiful dream. Lying with the famous ego-driven prince Miguel" She teased quietly and I smiled.

"I love you for you Miguel...you make everything else in my life complete. and I loved you even before I knew I had people..right from my dreams..."

I rubbed my hand in her silky hair...

"I love you too Kathia...so much ..you broke my walls of pride ...I want you like I have never wanted..still I am willing to wait till you get better. You are mine..and mine alone..."
