Second Chance - Episode 26

 

Okay, lemme start by saying  a big thank you to everyone who celebrated me yesterday on the Ebony facebook page. I was like, Oh my Gosh! That is me! It felt so wonderful to be appreciated ad I never knew I've got lots of fans like that! I was totally blown away. Thank you so much. Plent kisses on your faces and your cheeks lol.

Alright, where were we?

KATHIA

"So what are you going to do"

"Honestly Bree, I have no idea"

Bree quickly rushed to take a gown from the wardrobe , she was as restless as I was..or even worse. Contrary to what I had thought, the feast was starting tonight, I was in the room while Bree dressed up for me.

"But, I am still wondering, haven't you seen prince Anthony before the wedding? I don't understand how you wouldn't know they are brothers" Bree continued.

Well, I just remembered Bree had no idea I was the wrong Kathia . The old Kathia must have known but I myself, have no clue. I just hate that girl!

"Bree, that doesn't matter now. What does is how I will break it off"

She was combing my hair now...

"Can you do that tonight?" She asked.

"I...I need to know whatever he is planning first... then I will break it off"

She said nothing as she fixed a tiara in my hair..

"Do you think I should tell my husband?"

" I don't know my lady..but I think you should let him know on time.."

I thought for a while, this was not going to be easy, if I could cancel and have a heart to heart talk with Anthony first, I might not have to tell Miguel again and everything would be fine since he never knew about any part of this  in the story I told him....

"You are ready my lady"

I stood up as  and as I walked towards the door...I could hear the beating of my heart as it beat faster than usual....

All eyes were on me as the light was positioned in my direction, the whole floor was filled with people of high nobility all dressed in their  fashionable clothing..it was like watching a movie..

I knew I looked beautiful but when I sighted Miguel waiting for me  by the bottom of the staircase, his Roman nose and his 'new-baby' smile,  I found myself blushing

. He was looking too handsome in his suit. He was indeed my charming prince. He smiled proudly at me as I climbed down the stairs. I could see the pride in his eyes...he was proud of me....

I took my time as I walked down the stairs with my gown sweeping the floor after me... I felt beautiful and when I placed my hand in his and our eyes met...I still felt a rosy glow all over me...

"You take my breath away" He whispered into my left ear while I chuckled as he took me to the dance floor and people made room for us.

My right hand was in his left while my other arm was resting on his shoulder, his right arm was encircled around my waist. He was holding me so close as we moved to the beat....slowly....taking our time while we looked into each others eyes.

From his eyes came an intensity, an honesty, a gentleness. He was completely vulnerable with me right now as I could feel he has given me all his trust. His usually playful smile had drawn into a hard line across his face. His strong hands held mine as he stared deeply into my eyes. I couldn't help but blush more.

"Don't take your eyes off me love"  He said

I smiled and replied. "I won't"

He returned the smile. "This is the best moment of my life.."

"Mine too" I replied as he twirled me around and later was caught in his arms.

We both chuckled as I almost lost my balance. Then I rested my head on his chest as he held me tightly. His body was warm and toned as he hugged me, comforting to the touch. His voice was deep, with a serious tone. His lips brushed my ear as he spoke, "I really do love you My Kathia"

I smiled as every worry seemed to flow away with those seven words.  It was just the two of us and no one else.....

"May I have the pleasure of this dance?"

I jumped back to reality as I heard the voice and every worry that flew away seemed to find their way back.

Standing in front of us was Anthony.

. He looked devilishly handsome in his suit but in a different way from his brother. Where Miguels eyes were blue, his were the green of fresh dew glinting in the sunlight off a leaf of green emerald. Well-defined chin and nose and where His shoulders seemed broader than Miguels' but they were of the same height.  His hair was  where Miguels was curled and like a girls. He could be a seasoned warrior but Miguel was like a model that would fit into the front page of a magazine.

"I think, myself and Kathia need to get to know each other more , brother"

I could feel some tension between us three but Miguel did his best to hide it as he framed smile.

"Sure, please by all means" He replied and looking at me again, he kissed me on the forehead and let go of my hand.

I watched as he walked to meet a a man who seemed to have been waiting to have a moment with him...

"Hello Kathia"

I froze as the voice interrupted my thought.

"Hi ANthony" I replied coldly.

" What is the problem?" He started as he took my hand in his and put a arm around my waist.

"You don't seem happy to see me my love" He stated.

"Maybe I am just tired" I lied.

He smiled and then pushed me closer to him. "This is the moment we gave been waiting for my dearest, there is no time to be slack. Did you see all the messages I left for you?"

"I have been away Anthony..I didn't get them" I replied a liitle uncomfortable as he was pressing me to his chest too tightly.

"I missed you so much my Kathia..." He said, breathing in the fragrance of my hair. "You do know you are my Kathia, right?"

I said nothing ...

" Why are you so quiet love, are you in haste as I am?"

"ANthony.."

"Anthony?" He demanded. "WHy are you calling me by my name? No pet name again?"

I swallowed. This guy was a pain..

"I do not want to raise any attention" I said, trying to back off a little bit but his arms were too tight. 

"Maybe that is what we need to do my Love. I can kiss you right here and cause attention! The King would dissolve your marriage and you would finally be mine"

His voice was rough and his hand was now finding their way into my hair so I pulled back immediately.

"STop it..not now..we need to discuss this first!"

He looked hurt and surprised.

"Discuss what my love?"

I wanted to tell him right now, that this was over....

"Anthony..." I started......."This whole thing has been a ....."

"My Lord, your father wants to see you"  One of the guards interrupted.

"Meet me by midnight" He whispered into my ear and went with the guard.

I exhaled and turned around only to bump into Miguel. He looked serious.

"We need to talk " He said firmly.

"Okay" I nodded and followed him....

Okay okay...that was so awkward...what next?
