Second Chance - Episode 29

 

So NEpa gave us light....#Sigh#

Everything froze as I felt the pain lashed through me . Then I turned my head slowly  to face Tony who looked horrified as to what he had done and he pulled out the sword out of me, I gasped as he  backed off.....

"No..no..no..." He whispered as he knelt on the floor, in pain, in shock.

I felt Miguel stiffen as he knew what just happened and he stretched his arm so I could collapse into them. I noticed the tears in the corner of his eyes as he stared at his brother who was just looking at us, terrified.

"Kathia...why ? Why did you have to put yourself in the way...why?" Tony cried .

"Because I cannot imagine life without him" I replied, now looking at Miguel in whose arm I lay.

"I don't understand Kathia" Miguel said . "Why would you do this ?" He sat on the floor so I could lie comfortably.

"I want you to believe me Miguel. I love you and everything I told you was the truth, I just never told you that Kathia was involved with him and he thought I was the same person but my mission was to come here for you only and no one else. You mean the life to me Miguel.....I think its best this way

He pulled back the hair from my face.

"I believe you,....but how would I live without you? You should have told me. None of this would have happened Kat. "

I smiled weakly.

"Kiss me Miguel"

He looked at me sadly as he kissed me lightly on the cheek.

"I looked towards Tony who was now crying heavily, unable to move close to us.

"Tony, I am sorry but I am not your Kathia..you had your chance with her and she is gone...I do not love you. I am sorry"

" We should call a doctor" I heard Tony as some guards came running...

"No..no doctor"

I heard someone say and just as I looked around, I saw myself again..Kathia was in a very bright light and she looked far better than she had been..her hair was floating all around her and she was the only one in the light. I realised i could only see her,..

"No doctor, kathia. This must happen, you have to die. We kept dying in this same place by that same sword only for different purposes. I died the last time while i tried to wound Miguel,  the other time,I died during a war after Tony and I eloped, I kept dying so calling doctor would be a waste of time, this time it is for a good purpose as our people would get to stay . "

She moved close to me as Miguel carried me in his arms out of the courtyard..she seemed to be floating .I had to say my mind...
"By the way Kathia.. You are a bitch.. And I don't believe we are the same.. You are evil.. Selfish and almost ruined every thing.. I hate you so much.. "

"I deserved that " she said.

"So what would happen to Miguel?'

I asked.

"He would idolize you generation to generation"

"Would he be happy" I asked.

"He would be happy knowing that he fulfilled your wishes  but I have never gone past this time so lets just hope for the best"

They were placing me on a bed now. Miguel was holding my hands while Tony stood beside the door. Kathia floated towards him.

'Poor Tony, my love. You know he really loves us"

"So what would happen to him?"

"I don't know Kathia but at least you ended the feud between the two. No more fighting and competition"

I sighed....as I looked at Miguel...God! I loved this man so much !

"I loved this man so much too" She said, looking at Tony. Then she floated towards me.

 "I will take your place so I can finally rest and you can continue your life where you came from.

"So I am going to die?"

She nodded with a sad smile. "I would take your place so, just bid Miguel farewell"

"but its not my birthday yet"

She chuckled. "Sweet heart , time moves differently here ...its your birthday today, believe me and the earlier you go, the better...the door is still open.....plus you would be surprised once you get back to your worl d that nothing has changed" She said pointing to a corner of the room. In another light was the mirror-door which was open and which led to a very bright passage.

I looked at Miguel....."But...I don't wanna leave Miguel"

"You 't have to and the earlier you leave the bettter" She said hurriedly

All the while we spoke, I never uttered a word, it was like conversing through minds.

. So i finally spoke to Miguel...

""Miguel...."

"Yes darling. Do not die on me okay? The doctor would be here soon" He said squeezing my hand.

"No, love, no doctor" I replied weakly and he stared at me in horror.

"No no..you can't say that love..please you cannot go now"

I smiled. "Kathia is in this room and she would take over my body while I go back to my world"

He shook his head bitterly.

"Do not blame your brother. He did the right thing. I would have died either ways..forgive him please and take care of my people"

Miguel nodded. Biting his lip sorrowfully. "Your people are my people. One more thing" He took my finger and slid the diamond ring on the forth finger. "You are mine and no one else"

I smiled satisfactorily but bitterly as he bent his head towards me and he covered my mouth in his....

Just then I saw myself floating in the air, in the same cloth I had won that very first night I had come to this world  I looked down on the bed as I Miguel holding me so tightly and sobbing . The doctor came in but Tony stopped him..he was also in tears. Then Miguel stood up ,his eyes were red and heavy..

"She is gone" He lamented and walked to the balcony.

Just then Tony moved to my body....

"I am so sorry .....Kathia...I don't understand all this but I am sorry"

Just then Kathia winked at me

'You should go quickly"

I  nodded and then I floated into the passage but the I  took one last look as I saw Kathia floated into the body .  As Tony held her hand , pleading and crying..the door closed......................AND I WOKE!!

WHEW! I have been wanting to write this passage since last night but NEPA just fucked up! Okay, what next?
