Madeleine got down from her motorbike, took off her helmet and stared hard at the beautiful hospital building.

**Ridge hospital**

it read.

She taps her fingers against her chin,smiling.

Why would Hailey rush a little girl she barely knew to a hospital when she had a client to attend to? She sighs.

That was the problem with Hailey.

She had always been so naive, innocent, too soft hearted, despite the vigorous training they all had to go through to shed every soft skin but Hailey, she seemed to stuck on it.

It was amazing how,Hailey managed to sell so much drugs to the boss' clients in just a few hours despite her being too soft and naive.

It was one of the many qualities for which she was preferred the most by her boss and hated by her(Madeleine).

Madeleine hated Hailey.

Right from her innocence yet quiet impressive demeanor, people wanting to buy from only her to her indescribable beauty.

Stupid right? Yeah.

But that was how Madeleine felt.

She hated Hailey for stupid reasons and that was why she had volunteered to spy on Hailey after she left the mansion towards the shinning star Montessori school.

Let's just say,she used to hate her less but after Hailey pulled that stupid truck on her three years ago,her hatred for her intensified.

Getting payback by telling the boss that Hailey actually lied about her baby's death was out of the question because none of them believed her.

If only she knew where that girl was. If only.

. Madeleine shakes her head and makes her way into the hospital.

Madeleine walks around for several minutes there was no sight of Hailey.

She sighs.. She was almost giving up when she spotted Hailey seated with a guy who had braids.

He was holding a cup to her mouth as she drank from it.

The guy turns as he places the cup on the table and takes her hand.. Jason? She clenches her fists, her blood boiling with anger.

How dare he touch another girl in that way especially Hailey of all people.

Jason was hers! Hers only. Alex, Jason's friend passes by with Jason's mother holding flowers as they discuss something about Olivia.

They don't see her.

She grins as she moves towards them,an idea occurring to her.

"There you are Jason. How's Olivia? Oh God! I'm so sorry"

she hugs Jason.

"Sarah?"

Jason asks looking dumfounded.

She continued to talk and on and on, ignoring Hailey who was hiding behind Jason.

She smiles.

Was Hailey that stupid to think she wouldn't notice she was hiding behind Jason? Hah!

"Jason why.."

She begins when the ringing of her phone cuts her off.

She excuses herself to take it.

"Yes boss. She's in ridge hospital as we speak. Okay boss"

Madeleine hangs up and turns to find both of them gone.

Shit! She curses,frowning. But then a smile later replaces her frown.

After all, Hailey's days are numbered.

PRESENT.

HAILEY'S POV

I reluctantly pull away after i successfully slip the diary into Jason's pocket.

He hands me a beautiful shiny short red dress which he found in one of the female bags.

"Ohh looks like a certain nurse wants to go partying after work"

I chuckle as he hands me the dress.

"Take off your dress and wear this"

he tells me as he turns sway and begins to unbutton his long sleeved shirt.

My jaw drop as I stare at his beautifully well sculptured body.

From behind him, I could see his back muscles flexing as he moved his arms around taking off the shirt and putting on an overall.

I gulp hard and look away as I unzip my dress and take it off leaving me in just my bra and undies.

The door suddenly burst open and I curse myself for letting them find me.

"F*ck!"

I hear Jason cuss and in a swift movement, he turns and pushes me behind him. "Change of plans"

he mutters and before I could ask him what he meant, the three men strolled In lazily, like they owned the place, throwing daggers at us with their gaze.

They're eyes roam our body and then at our dresses laying on the floor.

"Planning to escape huh?"

One of them says grimly eyeing me from where I stood behind Jason. I made to reply but Jason beat me to it..

"Yes. We actually were planing to elope"

he answers cooly and I choke on my saliva.. What the...? What is he doing? I pinch him to get his attention but he continuous to talk nevertheless.

"In fact,if you'll excuse us,we're busy"

he adds.

The three men narrow their eyes dangerously at him but he seems unfazed.

"She's ours. She's coming with us"

The seconds guy answers.

"What if I refuse?"

Jason asks and they all fume.

I realise he's trying to indulge them and they seem to be taking the bait.

The third guy, who looks the most fearful pushes back the front of his suit and the base of a gun peeps out from where it was hidden.

Oh God! I grip Jason tighter.

"Then you die"

he answers flatly. Jason taps his jaw tentatively as if thinking.

"What if I die in an honorable way?"

He suddenly asks and they raise their brows at him, confusion etching their features.

"Look.. I love Hailey a lot. I wish to spend the rest of my life with her and to do that I need her to be free from your boss. I know what you're involved in. I know everything. So instead of taking her away, why not make a preposition?"

"Get out of the way Mister else I wouldn't hesitate to run a bullet through your skull. Believe me,it's been a long time I killer someone. Do not mess with us"

the third guy sneers and a shiver runs through my shine.

"Listen first will you?"

"Jason please. They're dangerous"

I whisper but he just continuous talking.

"I want Hailey to be free from your boss. Forever"

"Impossible. Get the f*ck outta the way. Were on a mission!"

they all hiss at once as if they memorized it.

"Nothing is impossible. All I'm trying to say is, I want to challenge your boss to a duel"

he deadpans and all three men glance at each other and then burst out laughing. The laughter on their faces soon turn into a scowl.

"You're stupid to think you'll come out alive"

the first guy says and Jason nods.

"Certainly but I could try. Why don't you talk to your boss. We go head on,with no interruptions. If your boss wins, he gets to keep Hailey but if I win, she comes with me never to return to that dirty lifestyle"

he says with all seriousness.

The men stare at him for the longest of time as if he was mad before the third guy chuckles mockingly and walks out pressing the wireless earpiece in his ear.

He comes back later after a few minutes, an arrogant grin on his face.

"So? Deal?"

Jason asks fear cripples me.

Tears sting my eyes as i realise what he's doing.

He's going to fight for me.

For my freedom.

Putting his own life at risk.

No. Many people have challenged my boss to a duel and none of them.came out alive.

Why? Because only his well trained dangerous, fearless men did the fighting while he stood back.

They fought with everything, needles, stones, knives, swords, guns, poisonous liquids. Everything.

"Don't do this Jason.

i sob into his back but he doesn't flinch.

He seemed determined. Too determined.

The man who came in after making the call nods at Jason.

"You just signed your death warrant"

A/N

A duel is more like a fight where both contender's fight till one of them dies. It can take hours or days but as long as both are still breathing,the fight continues. It's illegal so it usually takes places in secluded, quiet places. This fight doesn't end until one of them dies or both. The one who comes out alive, wins. So on this note, do you think it was a wise decision by Jason to fight till death for Hailey's freedom? What do you think?
