Finding Solace - Episode 25

 

Narrator’s POV
“I see that you are not only suffering from memory loss, you are also mentally derailed.” Yvonne started. Laughing at Fiona’s terrible state.
Fiona was still battling with being conscious and being  in the dreamy land. She kept seeing the car somersaulting and somewhere far away, she could hear Yvonne’s voice also.  She opened her eyes, her vision was blurry and she felt dizzy. What was happening to her?
“Answer me while I speak to you Fiona!” Yvonne shouted at her . “Ever since you left, Nick has not been himself, what have you done to my baby you this terrible whore!” 
At the same time, she could see the horror in the face of her father as he slumped to the ground lastly. She was peeping through the window and he had signaled to her to run even as he coughed out blood. She hesitated as she saw her brother and her mother lying lifelessly on the ground, surrounded by the rest of her people. She didn’t want to leave , not without seeing the face of the man that had fed them the poison…..his back was turned towards her as he bent close to her father, he was laughing, she could hear the sound of that laughter. It was almost the same with the man she had seen at Nicks

. The man…yes.he had seen the man before, he was one of those hunters that had chased her into the woods. What was he doing at Nick’s house?
Yvonne was getting angrier. Fiona was panting and tossing as if she was suffering from a terrible nightmare. Her cloth was soaked in her own sweat and she wasn’t attempting to loosen the ropes either.
“Oh. So you think you can fool me right? You forgot that I am an actress right? All these acts you are putting up don’t move me. It’s better you cooperate right now.”
Then she moved closer to the bed and began to loosen the ropes.
“You think you can fool me right?” She moved to her legs. “I don’t know how crazy you are to have put up all these.
Just as the final rope was loosened. Fiona opened her eyes and starred at her.
“Yvonne. What are you doing?”
Yvonne laughed and leaned against the wall. “So , you were blind before, you didn’t see me.”
“Yvonne,please you need to leave.” She pleaded.
“I am not going anywhere until you tell me what you did with Zack!” She snapped, stamping her feet against the floor.
Fiona glanced at the clock, it was ten minutes  past eleven already.
“Please Yvonne, I do not know who Zack is, you asked me to leave and I did. Please you need to leave this place. Please.”
“Zack, was the detective I sent after you. He disappeared that same night and I know you did something to him. So, you better tell me what you did to him before I call the polices!”
“You cannot call the polices because I do not know what you are talking about. I have left Nick for you so now, please leave me alone!” Fiona retorted, raising her voice and trying to tie herself up again.
Yvonne angrily took pulled the ropes from her and now held them in her own hands.
“look, I don’t know what sort of madness you are doing to yourself by tying yourself up but before you go completely mental, I want to know what you did to Zack!”
 Fiona was trying to be as calm as she could while her eyes were still fixed on the clock. She desperately hoped that Noah could come in this time. She wondered where he had gone anyways.  She paid no more attention to Yvonne. Now she was walking around the room, searching for another thing she could tie herself up with .
‘You cannot escape from me you this looser! Did you kill zack? What have you done to him? I hate you so much. You came into Nick;s kife and just ruined everything for me, now he is even worse than before. I really hope that you die, you this whore!”
11;55pm
Each word from Yvonne was only fuelling the fire of anger that was beginning to burn  inside of her. Her fist began to clench and her jaw rooted, burning rage hissed through her body like a deathly poison, screeching a demanded release in bthe form of an unwanted violence. Part of her wanted to explode while the other was trying to keep calm. Still Yvonne spoke on.
“For the last time, where the hell is Zack?” Yvonne demanded, bringing out a gun and pointing at her.
11:57pm
She stopped. Now sitting on the bed and starring into nothingness. That was when she began to feel herself changing. Her eyelashes that were perfectly curled up shot out like twigs. Wiry black hair sprouted from every skin on her. Her once sad eyes melted into, a heavier more brownish color.

. Her bones cracked, moving under her like snakes, stretching under skin in full forces which sent pain down her entire beings. Audible cracks sliced through her and she screamed.
Yvonne watched in horror . The gun she pointed at Fiona was now shaking in her hands as if they had a mind of their own. She could feel the sweat drench her skin, her heart was racing and all she wanted to do was run out of the place but her legs felt as if they were no longer part of her. She had never seen something like this even in her worst nightmares, now she was seeing something her eyes won’t be able to erase. The absolute horror completely paralysed her and Fiona’s last humanly scream filled her ears. 
 12:00am-13th of January
A narrow stream of moonlight filled some areas of the room and in that moment , a wolf stood by the window, she was as white as the snow. Her fur was smooth and shiny. Despite her proximity to Yvonne, there was no sound. Her brown eyes shone in the moon light.She had a muzzle slightly opened, revealing yellow-stained teeth large than any domestic dog Yvonne had ever seen,
As slowly as Yvonne dared, lifted the gun once more with shaky hands. Her chest falling and rising, she could feel wetness in between her thighs. The wolf moved in circles, growling and just as Yvonne fired the gun…the wolf lunged herself on her….
