Finding Solace - Episode 26
Hey Folks, sorry been uploading one episode per day unlike before which was two per day. I’m preparing for an exam so I hope you understand.
So, where were we?
Fiona has changed completely and you can check the picture above to have an image of her. So, let’s see what happening few hours later.
NICKY
I woke up suddenly. My head ached terribly and pulling on the switch close to the bed, the silver light illuminated the room and I checked the time on the wall. . Who could be calling me at three in the morning?
The phone rang again, this time more louder than before.
Groaning, I stretched my hand towards the stool and placed the phone against my cheek.
“Hello.”
“Please is that Mr Nick?”
“Hmmm” I mumbled.
“I am calling from Desam Hospital. We have a patient here by the name Yvonne Isabelle.”
Okay, I am awake now!
“Is ..is she okay. What happened?”
“Well, you will need to get here on time.”
“Okay, please send me the address, I will be right there, thank you so much.”
The call dropped and I jumped out of the bed, grabbing the shirt on the chair, I raced out of the room.

When I saw her on the bed, she was sleeping.

. Her arms and her neck were all plastered and there were few scratches on her cheek too

. There was a big bandage around her head.
“What happened to her?”
I asked the nurse beside her.
“We don’t know yet. E have never seen something like this. We think it’s some wild animal that did this to her.”
I could feel the fear creeping up my spine.
“An animal?”
The lady nodded.
This cannot be happening again.
“Did she come here by herself or..please can you tell me how she got here?”
“We received an anonymous call by a man , so we sent an ambulance and that was how she got here. She was covered in blood buty thankfully, she made it.”
“Where did this happen?”
“Well, she was found somewhere at Petersbridge, by the side of the road.”
“Was anybody driving her?”
“We saw no one with her and there was no way she could have walked that distant. So our theory was that, the person who found her drove her halfway from the place of incidence before calling us.”
I ran my hand through my hair. This could not be happening again. Then I touched her cheek and she stirred, opening her lids slowly…
“Baby, what happened? Are you okay?”
She looked at me in horror and then her lips were moving. “Fi..fi..fi..”
I couldn’t understand, as she was trying to make a word, the machine started beeping so loud and the nurse pulled me back.
“You have to give her some time, she cannot talk now.”
“Fi…fi…..”
She kept on saying agitatedly before she lost consciousness again.
I sighed and left the room as other nurses arrived to attend to her.
Was she trying to say Fiona? Is Fiona dead too? Did she see her?
I had no idea what to do, I would need to find out what happened by myself, but first, I took out my phone and dialed the ‘last saved number’.
“Hello, Rasaq, it’s Nick, you said to call you if anything strange thing happens again. Well, I think it has. Come meet me at Desame Hospital.”
