SO I'VE BEEN COMPLETELY OUT OF DATA FOR A WEEK NOW. LOL. EXAMS IS FINALLY OVER AND NOW I THINK IT'S TIME TO END THIS STORY.  CARE WE READY FOR THE END? I KNOW I AM.

Amaya

"You didn't let me say hello to Michelle." I pout around my grin as soon as the bedroom door is slammed shut. Rory's acting like a child caught with his hands in the cookie jar.
"You lost your tongue out there?" I ask wryly when he doesn't say anything but carefully arrange me on the bed . I sit up to try and get him to look at me. He pretend to be busy fixing the blankets on me when it's not even cold in here. I throw the blanket off me and grab his chin to pull his face towards me.
"You didn't let me say hello to Michelle." I say again and let my finger slip down his neck. I watch a vein bulge out of his neck like he's trying to control himself.
"Stop it." He grinds out and pull my hand away from him. He mutters various explicit words under his breath that I don't quite catch.
"Why are you acting like a teenager Rory?" I push myself to the edge of the bed and try to stand. Rory is beside me in seconds.
"What are you doing?" He tries to get me to lie back on the bed.
"We have a visitor. I just want to say hi or something." I shrug nonchalantly as his jaw hit the floor at my audacious behavior.
"Hi?"
"Huh-uh." I try to stand again.
"You are naked for Christ's sake!" He snaps and that's when I remember that I left my top on the living room floor and my skirt is currently bunched up around my waist.
"Oops." I giggle while Rory shakes her head.
"You'll have to go get my top then." I sit back on the bed.
"I'm afraid that won't be possible

. I think I ripped that particular top in our frenzy moments ago." A playful smirk pull the corners of his mouth up.
"I can't believe you ripped a pregnant woman's top even when she's hurt." I feign annoyance. Rory smiles sheepishly at this.
"Said pregnant woman was totally acting like a cave man earlier and I thought she wouldn't mind."
"I mind. And you owe me several cute tops to pay for that one."
"You tore my favorite shirt first." He points out and I roll my eyes.
"I don't know what you are talking about." Rory goes to say something but Michelle's voice interrupts him.
"Rory? What are you doing to the poor woman in there?" She snickers and I chuckle at the exasperated breath Rory releases before walking over to the door to pull it open.
"How can a pregnant woman be so dirty minded." He says through the small opening of the door. He's trying to keep my state of undress from Michelle's eyes.
"Maya is also pregnant and you both were going at it like rabbits just a moment ago. Let me see her." I hear Michelle say and try to force herself into the room but Rory's totally hot body blocks her path.
"We weren't going at anything Michelle. Get your mind out of the gutter." Rory counter back.
"Really? Oh well. I guess these torn clothing doesn't belong to neither of you. I'll just go ask one of the workers at the site." I can't control my laughter anymore as Rory grabs the clothes Michelle is holding up and throws it into the room. His torn shirt land on my shoulder and before I can get a word out, he slams the door shut.
I stick my tongue childishly at the door instead before I let the giggling bubbling inside out.
"So nice." I press the shirt into my face and inhale the faint scent of Rory's cologne. I'm still sniffing his shirt when the door pulls open again and this time Michelle comes in without Rory. I try to hide the evidence of my shameless sniffing.
"Were you sniffing his dirty shirt? Oh my God, Amaya. Who would have thought you had a naughty side!" Michelle teases me.
"I wasn't!" I throw the shirt at her and she shrieks as she dodges it without stress. She's fast for someone so pregnant right now.
"Ewww." She wrinkle her nose at Rory's shirt lying on the floor beside her.
"It doesn't stink." I defend.
"Of course. You'll know for sure."
"I--"
"It's okay. Just blame it on the pregnancy hormones." She wink at me and I giggle.
"Wait, you know about the pregnancy?" I stop for a while. She looks guilty for a split second but recovers.
"Did I say pregnancy?" She shrugs and my eyes narrow in suspicion. Michelle tries to look anywhere but at me.
"Did Rory ask you over so both of you can bully me into believing more lies?!" I snap.
"What?! No! I mean yes he asked me over but--"
"I knew it!" I snap.
"Amaya listen to me. Rory just wanted me to help out."
"That manipulating piece of --" I push off the bed and grab the walking cane beside the bed. He's going to get it from me. I can't believe just a few touches from him and I completely forgot about everything.
"Amaya!" Michelle snaps suddenly and I stop in my incoherent ranting.
"What?!" I give her the stink eye. I watch her clench her eyes shut for a few minutes, probably to calm her self down.
"Look, I get it. You're hurt." She starts calmly but I cut her off.
"No, You can't possibly understand this. How can you? Your life is perfect. Your husband loves you like you are his whole world. I'm sure your parents love you just as much. Do you know how it is to crave love all your life and never get it from anyone but your dead mother?" Tears sting my eyes and I angrily wipe it off. Damn hormones.
"Actually I do understand this." Michelle says. I start to shake my head but she continues.
"I lost my mother at a young age too. It was the same day I lost my sight." What?! My eyes bulge out at this. I can't picture her blind.
"What are you saying?"
"That's how I met Rory. He actually gave me a reason to live. And not just because he gave me my sight back. He's important to me Amaya."
"He made you see again?"
"Long story. The bottom line is, Rory and I have been through so much. William as well. No one's life is perfect Maya. We just chose to make it better. That's why you don't see the scars that are left in us. Because we let them heal and they don't hurt us anymore." She dab a stray tear from the corner of her eyes and I can't help but feel teary as well.
"You think your father is the worst? Believe me, Mr Gabriel would win father of the year over mine any day. Mine wanted to kill me."
"Oh my God." I gasp.
"Listen to me. You see the man out there? He'll do anything to make whoever he loves happy. That's you now." She says but I shake my head.
"No. You are getting it all wrong."
"I'm not. He loves you Amaya. He sounded totally torn when he called me for help earlier." She takes my hand and bring me back to sit on the bed. My leg was killing me anyways so I let her sit me down.
"He's just doing all this to get my father's shares. What kind of a man lets a woman suffer because of material things?" I ask.
"A man who was in love." My eyes snap up to hers.
"He did it for me. For William."
"I don't understand."
"Your father was going to set you up with William."
"What?!' I scrunch my nose up in slight revolt.
"You sound like that's a disgusting scenario." She laughs
"No. It's just, he's yours. I can't picture that scenario." I point out
"Yeah. It was hard. Your father was using the shares he had in William's father's company over him. I was so torn. I mean I came all the way from the States to be with him and all of a sudden, I hear he was going to be married to some snubby rich princess. No offense but I hated you." She chuckles.
"I can't believe this."
"Well. I don't know what William would have done but that fateful day, I was ready to give William up so he could take your father's deal of marriage and take his place in his father's company. Rory was supposed to take me to the airport that day."
"But?" I feel intrigued by the story.
"He took me over to William's company instead. I was told your father didn't want a marriage anymore. William could have his shares for free. I was so happy. I had my man and my man was in his rightful place. I thought it was a happy ending. It was perfect. Until few weeks ago. William told me what Rory had to sacrifice for me to be happy."
"His freedom."
"Yes. He saw you as the enemy. But not anymore. I really think you both are meant for each other."
"I doubt that.

. But tell me this. Were you ever in a relationship with Rory?" I ask tentatively. The awkward look on Michelle's face tells me my hunch is right.
"He married me for the love he has for you." My heart sink.
"Had. It's in the past. He's in love with you now. I know it. Just give him a chance." She takes my hand.
"I can't. It's too late. I don't trust him to stay after he does his part of the contract. What he feels now, it's guilt. I can't depend on that." I withdraw my hand from hers.
"Amaya--" her words are caught short by the soft knock on the door.
Yeah?!" Michelle answers for me while I clear the lump in my throat.
"Amaya? Your father is here to see you." I freeze up at this, my eyes moving from the door to Michelle's face.
