"Melanin, your time is now!" A tall elegantly dressed lady walks into the dressing room... She stops applying her make up and turns "Okay give me a few minutes" "Be quick.... The people are getting impatient" she answers and walks out leaving her to finish touching up her make up.... Done, she gets up and stares down at her almost naked body.. . She was wearing a red fishnet lingerie.... She tied her hair into a bun and walked out through the hall way onto the stage where she could hear the roars of mostly drunk men chanting her name, waiting for her to climb up that stage and dance.... This was never the life she had envisioned for herself, not in her wildest dreams... But here she was about to climb up the stage and dance... Yeah dance! She was a strip dancer or better known as a stripper! That was her job or better put, the only job she could find to sustain herself and pay for her tuition fees.. To dance seductively on a pole while the men chanted her name and glared at her with profound lust was what she did during the night, attend lectures during the day and then go to the Megan's restaurant where she worked as a part-time waitress..... Basically she had two jobs, no social life nor love life whatsoever.....
"Melanin?" A voice jolts her out of her thoughts.. Melanin!! She cringed at the mention of that name..

. Melanin was not even hera real name but that was what her boss had called her the day she had gone into the club searching for a job.... "I'll call you melanin because of your hot chocolate dripping skin.. Everyone here has a nickname they go by and melanin suits you" he had told her... "Err yes?" She turned pushing the thoughts out of her head... "What are you waiting for? Go up there now!" Alfred, her boss commanded.. "Sure sir" she answered, put on the most seductive smile she could master, walked unto the stage and began to dance slowly moving her body in the most seductive way she could think of.. And when she walked towards the pole and began to dance on it, the men grew crazy and chanted her name louder, some stretching their hands from the crowd in an attempt to touch and get a feel of her beautiful dark skin....

He sits in a corner of the dimly lit room, sipping his liquor as he watched her dance seductively smiling broadly... A smile he could see that didn't reach her eyes... He bent his head and let a tear drop... It was his fault she had to take up such a job... It was his duty to take of her but luck just seemed not to be on his side.. Sighing, he lifts his head up and realises she had finished dancing and was already making her way through to the dressing room... Gulping everything from his glass, he gets up and starts to walk towards the direction she was going....

Walking down the narrow hallway to the dressing room, she releases her hair and let's it fall over her shoulders.... "What a beauty? Pretty melanin! My melanin!!" A male voice says startling her and she turns sharply ... "This place is only for workers..

He pushes her to the wall, grabs her by the waist and made to kiss her when she pushed him away and slapped him hard.. Without waiting for him to recover from the slap, she brings her legs up and kicks him hard in between his legs.. He groans in pain and sinks to the floor, unable to stand... "Moron!!" She spat T
