We’ve been on a trip wheels driving towards the south western part of Akure. Felicia suggested we visit the tourist centers so as to bank our writing on it. The trip from Lagos to Idanre was about 6 hours and it was a rough one.

Idanre is quite a beautiful town judging by the roadside sightseeing and landmarks as skimmed on our way there. Something instincts tells me the locality might be a re-known supplier of cocoa because mostly all of the homes we drove by had sun drying beds of cocoa beans whose fermented odor saturated the air waiting to give a welcoming reminisce of Idanre as characterized by its unrivalled cocoa producing potential.
Welcome to the Idanre hill resort. A young man walked towards us beaming smiles.
