Aroofa.

Sh*t.

Sh*t.

I'm crying. 

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry" I say to the director, breaking out of character, closing my mouth with a hand and running off the set, in search of a bathroom, tears is running down my eyes and I can't seem to stop them.

I have no idea why I suddenly broke down into tears while shooting an action scene with Yoel but I did and I'm mortified.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that things at home is going well and I'm very happy for my sister.

Or it could be that I'm just tired and all I want to do is sleep and eat ice-cream.

It's been extra hard this week working close to Yoel and trying to act as if he doesn't affect me, he does affect me.

He's always around, at home, on the phone with anadia, in set.

God.

I look in the mirror, wiping the runny mascara off my face.

I take a deep breath, telling myself I'm strong and trying to get into the zone before washing my hands and drying it.

It's a good thing papz aren't on set, it would have been a mess if any pictures of me crying gets out, I shudder to think what they will paint it Into.

A knock sounds at the door.

"A minute Mara, I'm just trying to get myself together" I say quietly, she must be worried.

I open the door but stop short when it isn't mara standing there but Yoel.

"I sent Mara away, are you alright?"

"What do you want?"

"To know how you are doing? For starters" He says, leaning against the wall close to me, bringing our face very close.

"I'm fine, I think it's just stress and PMS" I say, lying a little 

He nods.

"You should take it easy, you've been over working yourself this week, tell your manager to tell the director you need a day or two to yourself, or you could do so yourself, you are still new to all this, better if you break yourself in" He says.

"Are you saying you don't think I can hold my own?"

"I'm not saying you can't, I'm saying you need a break, you know you aren't really an under cover agent right?" He says with a smile, making a joke about the movie we are shooting.

I break a smile before nodding.

"I will see what I can do" I say.

"Good, does that mean you can have dinner with me tonight?" He asks.

I blink, I really want to but I have to remember restraint and also there's something going on at home tonight.

He nods.

"But.. Tomorrow evening should be okay?" I ask.

He smiles.

"Yeah, it should" He says and I nod, he leads me back to the set and I go, after making sure I'm okay my manager explains things to the director who agrees.

I sigh in relief, it's a good thing we are shooting in this state, I won't miss Aroos's engagement for the world.

Aroos.

Something is off and I can't exactly put my finger on it.

How do I know this?

For one anadia has got me in the kitchen making homemade mayo, nobody in this house eats homemade mayo.

Secondly Kane let her come downstairs, Kane the drill master let anadia out the door of their bedroom.

I'm just going to go with it, seeing that I have no order option.

I place the tub of mayonnaise on the counter before wiping my finger on my apron and deciding I'm done, I'm going to go have a bath and maybe watch a movie.

Kevin is out of the country on some wine deal or something, I'm in my last semester of school, so... Yeah, I have to watch movies.

I enter my room to see Aroofa sprawled on my bed and I squeal.

"You did not tell me you were coming home today" I say, bouncing on the bed and laying on top of her.

She holds me close, tucking her face in my neck and breathing in.

"My shoot ended early" She says before adding... "You smell like lemons"

"Anadia says she's craving homemade Mayo, I made her some, hence the smell" I say.

"Well, go bath, I had an endorsement deal earlier this week and I brought you an exclusive Prada gown"

"Oh my God, I knew there was a reason I loved you" I say, she pulls away to glare at me.

"Shut up, you love me either way" She says and I nod,.

Getting up to go bath, when I'm done she helps me get dressed before doing my make-up.

"Is there a reason you are dolling me up?"

"Trust me, you don't want to look like a tomboy today" She says

"Why?" I ask, suspiciously, today isn't my birthday so I shouldn't be expecting any surprise parties.

"Oh.. We. Are going out, that's all, we might even meet some celebs" She says, waggling her brows at me in the mirror.

I laugh, when she gets done we march downstairs, the gown is a dream.

I come to a halt when i see the whole family doled up and Kevin between them.

"You are back?" I ask,well,there goes my night out with Aroofa, I'm totally staying with my boyfriend and eating ice-cream.

He smiles before dropping to a knee and I blink, wondering what he is doing, I take in the sitting room to see it decorated and filled with people I love before looking back at Kevin.

"What are you doing?" I whisper.

"Aroos Razaq, will you do me the honour of being my wife? I promise to always be there and to always take care of you" He says and I blink, tears suddenly filling my eyes, getting why they (My family) have been cryptic all day.

"I don't know what to say" I cry, my eyes finding Anadia's hers are filled with tears and she's nodding.

"For starters you can say yes so that anadia can seat down, the doctor says no standing" Kane says and I laugh out a sob, he's like a mother hen.

"I'm very sure the doctor didn't say no standing Kane" Anadia grumbles. 

"What do you say Aroos? Wanna spend the rest of your life with me?"

I nod.

"Yes" I whisper and he produces a ring from his pocket, slowly sliding it on my fingers.

I sob, pulling him to his feet and pressing a kiss to his lips before hiding my face in his neck.

Clapping ensures and I lift my head.

"Thank you guys" I say, suddenly very shy.

"I ordered in some food, let's eat" Anaya says and we troop to the dinning room, I stop, holding anadia, Kane turns and I nod at him, he seems to understand I need a word with her privately because he continues on with Kevin.

"Thank you so much" I whisper.

She frowns.

"For what?"

"For being a good mother to me, you are the best" I say.

"You are going to make me cry" she says.

"No crying, the doctor said no crying" Kane says from the doorway, I should have known he won't let me have her to myself.

"Shut up Kane, this is a private moment" She says and I burst out laughing.
