Linda.

"This is stupid" I say, pointing at the TV, "... How could he just... How could he just leave her? He promised to be there for her and he left her? Before even confirming that she cheated on him? Boooo" I yell, throwing popcorn at the TV.

"Babe, you are going to have to clean that up, you were the one who wanted to watch a chick flick"Maurice says and I throw him a killing look.

" Blame me why don't you! Blame me! Not the producer of this stupid heart wrenching movie "I say, fighting tears as I watch the heroine of the movie cry her eyes out because the stupid hero didn't give her the benefit of the doubt.

" Keep your voice down babe"He says and I pout, crossing my arms and deciding he's going to be in the dog house because of this movie I'm watching.

" Are you ignoring me Linda? "

" Yes"

"Why?"

"Because the movie is sad"

"Linda, I didn't produce the movie, I had no hand in it, don't you think you are being a little unreasonable?"

"Ha! Unreasonable? Me? Me? Never" I say fervently and he rolls his eyes.

We've been dating for two months now, Maurice knows me well enough to know that rolling his eyes is going to be a part of his daily routine for ever.

I mean, have you met me? I'm dramatic, thank you very much.

"If you are going to act this way on my night off then I might as well go tell Kane I will be on duty" He says and I know he knows he's got me there.

He took a night off - Surprise, surprise! - to be with me, in my room in my wing of the house, I've closed this place off for the night, no one is getting in to disturb us or uh.. Catch us but that's a story we all know.

I might have guilted him a little, pouting and telling him how he never comes into my room, he might have been guilted and decided to actually come in tonight and watch a movie with me.

This is the first time Maurice is staying over in my room, the very first time.

"You are cruel" I say, switching off the TV and chucking the remote to the ground.

"You were getting loud baby, it won't do well for Kane to bound in and catch us in the same bed before I get a chance to tell him I'm going to marry his sister" He says this very casually that it takes a moment for the words to sink into my hard skull.

"Maurice"

"Fingers babe" He says and I look to it and there's an emerald cut diamond seating on my finger.

Sometime during my rant about the movie Maurice proposed.

Where was I for my proposal?

"Maurice..." I whisper..

"Looking like I can't stay away from your ass Linda, also looking like I can't stay away from you, you complete me and my mama thought me never to do things half way so yeah Linda, I want to marry you and I want you to have my kids, if you will have me" He says.

If I will have him?

He's too good for me..

"What do you say babe?"

"I don't deserve you" The words come out as a broken whisper and his face frowns, he gets closer..

"What are you saying babe?"

"I'm saying I will spend the rest of my life with you if you are ready for that type of drama that ensued ten minutes ago forever" I say and he laughs, his face settling..

"I will have you any way I C's Linds" He says and I smile, tucking my face into his neck....

He kisses my shoulder, lifting his head to kiss my lips and I know I'm ready.

We've barely done anything for the past two and a half months but tonight feels perfect.

"Linda..." He whispers against my lips..

"I'm ready" I say.

"No, not before we tell Kane..".

"I'm ready Maurice.

. I really am" I say and he nods, his last restraints seeming to fall away.

He grabs the hem of my top and its gone, over my head, my leggings comes next.

When I'm down to my underwear he seats back and let's me undress him.

I do slowly, like I'm unwrapping a gift.

When we kiss again we are both naked, the next time he breaths my name out is when I bring him pleasure.

He kisses my jaw, his sweaty body laying on me as we try to catch our breath.

He goes to roll off me but I hold him still.

"I don't want you to move" I say, emotion clogging my throat.

"Never moving from you Linda, yours forever" He vows and I kiss his shoulder.

I settle into the pillow and he settles into my body, we try to catch our breath as I twine my legs around his waist.

He doesn't say another word, just wraps his hand around my hair and tucks his face into my neck..

"I think I might be in love with you Maurice" I say and even though he doesn't reply his smile against the skin of my neck is answer enough.
