Salvation (An Arranged Marriage ll) - Episode 37

 

Aroofa.

I roll over or rather I try to but I can't because there's a weight on top of me.

I try to remember what happened before I slept off and it's me and Yoel eating takeout on the couch and watching one of his movie.

I slept off before the opening credits, sigh.

I turn my face to look at him, knowing pretty well that he must be uncomfortable.

The couch is far from small, it's a big leather thing but Yoel is a big man, he's got me tucked into his body and my head on his arm, tucked in his neck, his hand is resting on my ass and I smile.. 

I try to extricate myself from his arm as quietly as I can but his arm tighten around me. 

"Don't move, this feels too good" He whispers and I turn to his sleepy eyes looking at me. 

A kiss lands on my head and my eyes falls close.. 

As good as this feels I whisper. 

"Yoel" 

"Um?" 

"I've got to pee" I say and his eyes open again, his hands slowly letting me go.

I begin to stand up but he pulls me back, turning my head to his and placing his lips on mine. 

I blink but close my eyes and let the kiss sweep me, its the sweetest kiss I've ever gotten. 

He kisses me deeply, telling me without words to open for him, I do so and his tongue enters my mouth. 

He sweeps me away with his kiss and suddenly I don't want to move. 

He raises his head, giving me another sweet kiss on my nose before tucking his face into my neck. 

"Go do your thing baby" He says and I nod, standing up, he's still sleepy so I try to be quiet. 

I bound to the bathroom, my heart in my mouth, I look at myself in the mirror and my cheeks are shiny and red. 

I do my thing, brushing my teeth with a new toothbrush I find and running a hand through my hair before washing my hands, trying not to break my face with the grin that's trying to crawl it's way across it. 

I exit the bathroom and to the sitting room to see him still sleeping, I throw an afghan across his torso and he gives a deep breath, his snoozing continuing. 

I could watch him sleep all day, the way the sunlight from the window plays with his hair, the way his lips are tilted at the end in a mischievous smirk he can't seem to loose even in sleep. 

I sigh. 

God works wonders, I would know, I'm surrounded by male specimens left and right. 

Take Kane and Cash for instance. 

"You must be hungry" Hus groggy voice comes and I don't know how long I've been watching him sleep from my own home seat but it must have been awhile. 

I just took my eyes away from him to swipe at my phone. 

"I'm not that hungry... Yet" I say, my eyes staying on his. 

He closes his for a second and when it opens again all traces of sleep is gone.. 

"Come here" He says and I frown,does he remember kissing me? Should I bring it up?should I play it cool? 

"Yoel...." 

"You look the best in the mornings" He says, sitting up, his arms open for me. 

There seem to be a tilt in our relationship, a big tilt, as of yesterday we were still debating if we were going to date, right now seems like we've been dating for a long time. 

His hands fall when I don't immediately stand up to walk to him. 

"I can hear you thinking" 

I grimace, my thoughts must how plainly on my face, I never was really good at hiding what I felt. 

"What is it?". 

"Nothing"

"If this is going to work we must be honest with each other" He says and I nod,getting his drift but then his words penetrate my confused haze.. 

"If this...? If this is going to work?" 

"Dating.

. This dating thing, I've been close to you Aroofa, courting you is not cutting it, I've spoken to you, i know who you are, I've kissed you, i want to know where things will go between us" He says and I nod. 

"I want to know where things will go between us too Yoel" 

"Does that mean you are going to tell me what ever was in your brain a moment ago?". 

"I was thinking if I should bring up the fact that we kissed, if you remembered" 

"I kissed you baby girl, I remember" He says and I smile. 

"Come here now?" 

"OK" I say before slinking to him, yes, slinking, I'm a wimp. 

He smiles, pulling my close, my head finds his shoulder and from this position I can hear his heartbeat. 

"It's beautiful" I say

"What?" 

"Listening to your heart, its beautiful" I say and it is, knowing he's alive and whole and mine is a marvellous thing. 

He kisses my head and I don't know how long we stay like that but we do before my stomach growls and he proceeds to find me sustenance.
