S.I.R.E.N (The Journey of Love) - Episode 4

 

Siren made her way to the slum residence of Juliet described by Ms. Kate, her Secretary.

She got down from her Suv as she made her way over to a shoe maker she had sighted.

She greeted him, squeezing her nose in a disgusted way as she perceive the smells coming from the surrounding and asked where Juliet apartment was. The shoe maker obvious to her discomfort with the smell around them, pointed to a bungalow nearby.

Siren thanked the man and dashed him a few changes with her and made her way towards Juliet's house.

When she got there, she has to pull of her handkerchief from her purse, wrap it around her hands and knocked at the faded door in front of her.

"I am coming" . Juliet voice was heard behind the door as she fumble with the lock behind it. Soon the door opened to reveal Juliet who gasped out in surprised and shocked on seeing her boss.

"Good Morning ma'am". Juliet greeted hastily.

Siren nodded her head in her greetings. "Good Morning Mrs Albert, how are you doing today?".

"I am good ma'am". Juliet replied.

"Won't you invite me into your home Mrs Albert?" Siren asked the woman whose cheek grew red in embarrassment.

"My house.... my house is not as beautiful neither is it as quarter to yours ma'am, you won't like it"

. Juliet said embarrassed the more.

"But it's where you lay your head to sleep, right?" Juliet nodded in confirmation then Siren continues "I see no reason whether I live in a mansion and you live in here, all I know we all are humans and we are one".

Juliet nodded her head. "Okay ma'am, I apologized for keeping you waiting. I am so sorr....." whatever she had wanted to say was cut off by the sound of a guitar being played inside.

"Who is playing that?" Siren suddenly asked.

"My son, he was the reason why I didn't come to work today ma'am".

"Please stop calling ma'am, my name is Siren. Can we go in, I want to see this son of yours".

Juliet then opened the door wider for Siren who entered their parlour. It was well decorated, not looking shabby as she had thought but it was beautiful.

She waited until Juliet had locked the front door then proceeded in following her towards where the sound was coming from. They went towards the direction of the kitchen.

Siren was surprised to see a young handsome man between her age, sitting on a stool beside the kitchen, playing his guitar. Siren heart stops to beat again, standing before her was the most handsome, pretty even, young man she has ever seen. His mouth was the most sexy thing as he opened his mouth to sing:

I'm not a perfect person
There's many things I wish I didn't do

Juliet wiped off a tear that has mistakenly fell off her eyes as she cleared her throat to inform her son of her present. Siren was awestruck with his voice, she has literally fallen in love with this young man's voice and maybe in love with the young man.

The young man stopped singing and asked "Mum, is that you?"

"Yes dear, its me. My boss is here with me also".

Siren felt like it was time to let her presence known. "Hi, my name is Siren and you have a lovely voice you know. I think you'd make a great star one day with your voice".

"Am Daniel, umm thank you for your complement Siren".

. The young man, Daniel said as he stood up.

Wow, he is taller. Siren thought to herself.

"Daniel, do not call her Siren, told you she is my boss. You call her ma'am, where are your manners Dan?". Juliet scolded her son.

"Oh he can call me Siren anytime, just feel free". Siren said cutting any attempt from Daniel as Juliet looked shocked.

"Okay Siren, I have got to go to my room now. I think you are here to talk to my mum".

And also quite intelligent. Siren thought to herself again.

Siren was surprise when she saw the young handsome Daniel reach out for a rod beside the stool. She hasn't seen the rod before.

She watches as Juliet helped her son into a room, probably his room. She soon came out.

Juliet lead Siren back to the sitting room and sat down, Siren sat on a arm chair opposite Juliet.

"I know what you are thinking", Juliet began as she saw the look on Siren face. "Yes, my son is blind and no he wasn't born blind". Juliet said as she confirmed Siren suspicious.
