S.I.R.E.N (The Journey of Love) - Episode 5

 

"So you mean to say that he wasn't born blind? Then how come he became blind?" Siren asked astonished.

Juliet nodded her head.

"Well, it all began the day he was going for a show in Italy, he was invited to play his guitar there. The car that took him was  involved in a ghastly accident that claimed the life of the driver and left my son alive, but it took away his sight. I sold everything we had for him to be operated on but the money wasn't enough . We were referred to one hospital or the other until the money I had was all gone. Since then, I have been struggling to take good care of Daniel and myself ever since that day". Juliet finished explaining.

"This is serious Mrs Juliet, I am sorry for what happened to him". Siren said feeling remorseful towards Juliet. "I will see what I can do about Daniels situation once I get to my office, tomorrow, okay?". Siren said as Juliet nodded her head in acknowledgment.

Siren stood up immediately "I will be expecting you to the office tomorrow so that we can discuss more on this. My parents are already waiting for me, we are having a guest". Siren said as Juliet stood up to escort her, once they got to Siren's jeep, Siren brought up her purse, opened it and gave some money to Juliet who seems Speechless.

"Thank you so much ma'am". Juliet thanked Siren.

"Oh no, I have told you to call me Siren, okay?" Juliet nodded her head smiling.

"And please tell Daniel I will see him soon".

Siren said finally and drove out of the slums.

"Where have you been, I called the office and they told me you have already left for home since, so what kept you out for so long?"

. A beautiful light skinned lady, older, asked Siren as she walked through the glass door towards them. Siren heaved out a sigh.

"I went to see one of our workers, she wasn't feeling too well". Siren replied.

"Oh I see. Well, go and change into  something nice and s*xy for your fiance so that when he comes you'd appeared sexy and good plus beautiful to him". Evelyn said smiling her favourite smile towards Siren.

"Mother, I have told you times without numbers that I and Davies are not in love, I don't see myself spending the rest of my royal life with Davies. I will bring my man to you and dad when the time comes".

"I have told you Evelyn you should not force Siren into doing what you want her to do". Old Paa voice drifted off the staircase as he went over to Siren to kiss her both cheek and turning to do the same to Evelyn.

"Thanks dad, maybe she would listen to you now".

"Look Siren, getting married to Davies means a lot to us. His father, owns the most biggest and famous hotel in this country, he also has various different businesses and companies to his name, anyone getting married into that family would be filthy rich, so rich that her four generations will never lack or know what being poor means". Evelyn said trying to make Siren see reasons for her to get married to Davies.

"Then what about us? We are filthy rich mum so I don't see why I must get married to Davies after all we are not poor. Our companies are doing great like theirs, you have the most famous fashion house show in the country, and dad, please don't let me start with what dad's owns". Siren told Evelyn whose face has grimaced into a scowl.

"Come on dear", Evelyn cooed as she took Siren into her hands, "Trust me on this one, Davies is the man for you. I bet my life...." A horn sounded outside and Evelyn smiled "They are here".

She clapped her hands and four female maids came out rushing.

"Yes ma'am" they chorus together.

"Our guest has arrived, set the dinning table quickly". Evelyn ordered the maids as they went to do as they were instructed.

Soon Siren and her family with Davies and his father were eating on the well decorated dinning table, with all sort of foods set down on the glass table.

"This food is good", Roberto remarked the food as he keeps nodding his head to the delicacy of the food.

Evelyn smiled as he showered praises on the food.

"Yes it is, Mr Roberto". Evelyn told him as she turned to face her daughter.

"Siren, you and Davies should take a walk along the sea shores so that you would get to know each other better, right Mr Roberto?"

"So right, come on Davies, take Siren for a walk". Roberto said supporting Evelyn.

Siren and Davies both shared a look.

"If it pleases you Siren", Davies said as he stretches out his hands to Siren who smiled and took his hands in hers.

"Yes Davies".

They both left Evelyn who was smiling and Roberto who looked happy. Old paa looked a little bit relieved that Siren didn't start an argument right there.

"So I heard you gave PaaSiren company to your daughter".

Siren and Davies walked along the sea shores hand in hand. Old paa had built the mansion near this sea, according to him he was using the sea to remember something, no one knows the thing.

"Davis, I think I have found someone I love". Siren said smiling to herself as Davies turns to look at her.

"Really? So who is this lucky guy, do I know him?"

"No, you don't know him, but his name is Daniel". Siren said leaving out the blindness.

"That's good, the only thing that matters now is for me to search for my girl in the endless seas".

"Davies, I know you will find this girl you have always speak off. One day, you will see her". Siren told her Best friend warmly.

"I will hope and wait for that day Siren, I can go to the length of this world just to find her again. She doesn't belong to this our world Siren, but if I could see her once again I wouldn't hesitate to tell her how much I loved her". Davies said and turned to stare at Siren but was surprised when he saw her looking towards the sea.

"Siren, what is wrong?" He asked as he also looks at the sea.

"Siren!!"

"Are you not hearing that song", Siren said all of a sudden.

"Song? What song?" Davies asked confusingly as he strained his ear to hear any song but he didn't hear any.

"The sea cry for help, they are singing  the song of...... I need to go home".

Davies nodded his head and held Siren hand and was about walking away when Siren pulled her hands from his and walk straight towards the sea instead.

"Siren, what is wrong with you" Davies said as he ran after Siren who had entered the sea, then stopped.

"The song, the song calls me home. I hear the cries of people asking for my help". Siren said as she waded further into the water.

Davies took hold off her and shook her as hard as he can, and shouted "Siren what is wrong with you all of a sudden?".

Siren blinked her eyes "What is going on, what am I doing here?" Before Davies would explain, Siren fainted.

Back in Oceania.

Queen Luciana was having her meal with her daughter, Arable, when the ocean started shaking.

All Oceania kingdom was shaking so hard that she fell down from her throne.

Sirene and her mother held each other tight as Oceania keeps shaking.

That was when Siren had stepped her foot instead the water, and when Davies carried her and ran towards her home, Oceania ceased shaking.

Queen Luciana eyes were wide opened in shocked.

What just happened?
