Fadeel smiled as he stepped into the living room. Today had been one of the memorable days of his life, and he's sure he didn't marry his new wife cause he wanted to only hurt his wife, but because he fell in love with her. This was a sincere marriage and nothing but it.

Amirah, who had been sitting down waiting for him suddenly stood up quickly, her eyes taking in his new look as both his hands held big nylon bags. Damn him!

"Guess i failed this time" she started as she walked over to him "I've been so eager to see this new wife of yours but held myself back so you can introduce us properly and watch as i blow her head with my bare hands."

"You think you can?" Fadeel asked smugly "well, it'll be my utmost pleasure introducing you to my new wife. Guide the way__or should i?"

"Do it. And don't you dare play with me Fadeel. I'm just going to show you how evil i can be. You'll think twice next time before having the thoughts taking in a new wife."

"I see" he smiled again not bothering himself with her threats "it'll be fun to watch then" he knocked on the door as they stood together, both glaring at each other with different thoughts swirling around their heads.

They heard a click and the door was un locked, behind the door stood a woman Amirah was least expecting.

"Halimah?" She asked in shock "is that really you? Halimah my friend?"

Halimah smiled and open the door widely "come on in darling and welcome home."

Fadeel smiled and walked passes Amirah who was standing like a statue and hugged his wife.

"Welcome home wifey."

"Thank you" came Halimah's reply.

Amirah was still speechless and couldn't make up coherent speech.

"Let's go to the living room, we all need to talk" he then held Halimah's hand and turned away leaving Amirah still standing on the spot.

"Maybe you should grab her hand too, seems like she's still in shock."
"Okay" he grabbed Amirah's hand and she took in a deep breath, finally getting back to her senses.

"Let go of me you two double faced snuggy bastard!"

"Owh wow, seems like someone is so angry hubby" Halimah said trying so hard to surpress her laughter.

"Don't you dare laugh at me you fool" Amirah snapped again facing  Halimah this time.

Halimah shrugged and held Fadeel hands as they walked to the living room with Amirah trailing behind them.

They both settled together on one chair while Amirah sat on a different chair opposite them, fuming like she's going to blow up any second.

"I know you're surprised about all this, but you shouldn't be that surprised Amirah. You did the same thing to your own best friend" Fadeel began looking closely at Amirah "You married me despite knowing Aysha was your friend and knowing how much she loved me, Halimah only did the same thing you did, Amirah."

"Do you have to throw it to my face then?" She asked trying so hard to control her anger. "I know what i did but that doesn't give you the right to do the same thing to me Halimah. How dare you? After knowing all my secrets? Wow, i can't believe this."

"Believe it please" Halimah replied smiling as she kissed Fadeel at the crook of his neck "i married your husband, and you'll watch me get pregnant___something you still couldn't do dear friend" she added smirking at Amirah.

Amirah's eyes bulged from their sockets as the words spill out of Halimah's lips. She knew everything, but she wouldn't tell Fadeel right?

"I know everything, i know how you lied and pretended to be pregnant, i also knew you lied about loosing the baby and blaming my sister for it. I know you've also gone to different hospitals and they've all confirmed you're a barren. I know everything you did__now tell me one reason why i should not make you a divorcée."

"What? No please__no." Amirah pleaded "you can't do this to me Fadeel, you can't."

"He won't dear friend, not so soon though. I want you in this house so you can watch how i take your husband away from you___how he'll only listen to what i say. And when I'm tired of seeing your face, when I'm satisfied that you've seen enough___he'll let you go dear friend."

"The devil is a liar! I repeat, the devil is a liar!! I won't leave this house, you'll be the one leaving it not me Halimah, trust me___it won't be me."

"We'll see then" Fadeel answered as he stood up his hand still holding that of Halimah "have a good night rest woman."

And they left, while Amirah slumped down and hugged her knees. Her heart hurt so bad that she thought it'll burst any moment. It wasn't a feeling she'll ever wish to go through again. Was this how Aysha felt when she also married Fadeel? If that's it, then karma is surely repaying her what she did! It shouldn't hurt that bad right? But it still did and there's nothing she can do about it.

*

Aysha's heart jacked loudly as she inhaled the deep cologne that had been buried deep within her soul. Was she dreaming? She wondered.

She looked up slowly at the sound of the door clicking shut and her heart almost missed a beat when her eyes locked with his. Damn her stupid brain for making her imagine things that weren't there!

Ever since Fa'izah and some of her family members conveyed her to her house and left, she had been sitting by the side of her bed with different thoughts in her head. Who is her new husband? Will he treat her well? Love and cherish her? Or will he be like Fadeel? What if she was married back to Fadeel again? But this doesn't look like his house.

She heard the bed dip so close to her and she inhaled the deep cologne scent again so close to her. She then felt her hands being taken in into not so soft hands and were squeezed lightly before a chaste kiss was placed on each of them.

"You're finally mine princess" she heard that voice she still couldn't get out of her system murmur softly into her ears.

Her eyes and ears weren't betraying her right?

She looked up, tears already threatening to spill from her eyes any moment and looked at him. He's really here, and he's all hers.

"You're here" she finally said squeezing his own hands in hers to make sure she wasn't dreaming "you really are here."

"Yes, i am" he hugged her and buried her head on his chest before removing the veil covering her hair and ran his hands through her strands "we're now going to be one happy family. I love you so much princess."

"I love you more and more Dee. I love you so very much" she sniffed loudly and hugged him more. They both went silent, savoring each others scent and touch before finally pulling away.

"O my God!" Aysha shrieked "i ruined your shirt."

"It doesn't matter. You can ruin as many as you want so far i can hug you and have you buried deep within my chest___I'm far okay with that."

"You're so cheesy you know."

"And i know you love the chessy me all the same princess."

She didn't reply quickly and was studying him before blurting out that question that has been disturbing.

"Has Mama consented to this?" She asked slowly as she closed her eyes, ready to welcome the worst answer that might come.

"Yes, she did princess. You have nothing to worry about."

"You sure?" She asked not believing her ears.

"I'm more than sure princess."

"Oh lord, I'm so___omph" her words were swallowed by his kiss, as he kissed her fiercely like his life depends on it. He held her tightly by her waist and deepened the kiss, making it known that he won't stop so soon___he need a taste of his wife.

"I've been wanting to do that for a while now," he murmured as he broke the kiss, his face still close to hers "and like i know i would__i enjoyed it far better than anything. My first and the very best kiss ever."

Aysha ducked her head slowly, feeling like Abdallah doesn't really deserve her. Someone had once kissed her own lips__but she was the first to kiss his.....isn't that pretty weird?

"I know the silly thought running in your mind" he sighed loudly and use his thumb to raise her chin up "and i want to make it clear to you that it doesn't really matter to me who had you before me, what matters is i have you now___and you're all mine. Forever....In shaa Allah (God's willing)."

"Thank you for coming into my life."

"No, thank you for coming into mine. I might still be a bachelor if you hadn't come. I love you so much, now let's pray."

*

You might have had a rough start in life, but that doesn't mean you won't be happy maybe sometime in the future. You don't necessarily have to be happy all the time to know that you have been blessed to be alive. Trails are meant to make us strong, never ever loose hope.

That was Aysha thinking as she drove into a big mall five months after her marriage. By mere looking, one can notice how happy and contented she looked. She was about to step into the mall when she bumped  into someone.

"Owh, Ya salaam."

"Excuse me." They both moved back registering each others voice.

"Aysha?"

"Fadeel?" The chorused together again.

Aysha looked at him and saw how disheveled he looked. He looked so thin with heavy bags under his eyes and dark circles. What could be wrong? She wondered.

"Are you okay?" She asked as she helped him pack the goods and went over to his car.

"He shook his head and kept avoiding her eyes "I'll like to keep thinking that way."

Wow, something must really be wrong!

"Well, one can always be happy one way or the other."

"I'll like to keep thinking I'll be happy one day" he replied still avoiding her gaze.

"How are your wives?"

"Amirah is gone, I'm left with only Halimah who'll no doubt soon leave my house cause I'm tired!"

"What do you mean Amirah is gone?" Aysha asked baffled.

"I divorced her, just like i divorced you" Fadeel replied letting out a homourless laugh.

"Fadeel are you really okay?"

"I'm not okay Aysha, that's what you wanna hear right? Well am not okay. I once had two wives who fight everyday and ended up hitting my head with a pan two months back. I've been hospitalized five times, each time was because i interfered with their fights. I now have one wife who does nothing but make my life a living hell and i act like i can't do anything. Or maybe i really can't do anything!"

"Take it easy Fadeel."

"Take it easy? You're asking me to take it easy? How? How is that going to be possible Aysha. I know I'm reaping what i sowed, and i really shouldn't be complaining right now cause i deserve it all. I know I've asked for your forgiveness, and you said you've already forgiven me. But I'll still like to ask again, please Aysha, forgive my wrongdoings. I really am so sorry."

"I've forgiven you since a long time ago, you don't have to keep asking all over again. Heard any news of Amirah?"

"Heard she got into an accident and lost both legs. She had left for Lagos and no one knows where she is now."

"Ya Salaam, that is pretty bad. Where can we find her?"

"You shouldn't bother, even her parents left. Goodbye Aysha."

And he drove off, leaving Aysha with a heavy heart as she sympathized with her friend.

Life is really scary.

*

"You're pregnant babe! You really are pregnant!" Fa'izah yelled happily as she danced around the living room holding the hospital report in her hand.

"Yes i am babe, going to be a mum soon"

"I'm so happy for you" and they held each other in a tight embrace "you're going to surprise Abdallah today i guess."

"Of course yes. Thank you for always staying by my side babe."

"You deserve much more babe. I better get going."

"Sure. Take care and regards to my boy."

"I will" she replied as she left.

Aysha smiled as she rubbed her flat tummy, wondering what is in there. A boy? Or a girl? Or better yet twins?

Her phone rang beside her and her smile stretched widely before picking up.

"Good afternoon Mama, how are you?" Aysha greeted her mother in law happily.

"Am fine my daughter, how is everything at home? Hope there's no problem?"

"Everything is fine Mama, we thank God."

"Praise be to Allah then. May Allah bless you all for me."

"Amin Mama, thank you so much."

"You're welcome my daughter, do take care and regards to that husband of yours."

"I will mama. Allah kara girma."

She clicked the phone off and kept smiling.

"Look at you smiling all alone like a loon when I'm not even close by." She heard Abdallah voice say.

She stood up quickly and ran over to him before engulfing in a big hug.

"Welcome home Dee! I missed you so much."

"I missed you more princess. How have you been?"

"Good. You look tired."

"Yeah, but that won't stop me from kissing you."

And they kissed, almost running out of breath.

"Let's go, bath is ready."

"Lead the way princess."

He spotted the hospital report and picked it up before glancing at it. His eyes bulged out if their sockets like he couldn't believe what he just saw.

"You're pregnant?" He asked still not believing it.

Aysha stilled in her steps and turned back. Seeing the paper in his hand, Aysha groaned and walked over him before hooking her hand around his waist and pulled him closer.

"This was not how i envisioned you finding out about my pregnancy."

"Its true?"

"Yeah. I am. Two months along."

"Alhamdulillah" he said tightening his hold on her "we are going to be parents soon."

"Yes we are."

He kissed her slowly before pulling back.

"I love you princess."

"I love you more Dee."

And the sealed their promise with another kiss.

I know this isn't the best book I've written, and i know i haven't put much efforts into it. But am glad we've finally made it to the end. And I'll like to thank you all for sticking by and supporting me and this story of mine. It has been a pleasure knowing you all and writing on this site, I've made new friends and have also gained more experience on how to deal with people.

I'm so sorry for all the inconveniences I've caused any of you, and i hope that one day one time___we may meet face to face and say a thing or two to each other. It has been a pleasure knowing you all and i wish you all the best. Do take this as a farewell message from me to you. I love you all and goodbye.

With so much love,
Mjay.
