Drapped in a blue veil which compliments the blue and black ankara she was wearing, Aysha stepped out of their house and headed towards their Fa'izah's. Her heart beat accelerating with each passing second. What if Fadeel won't even look at her, talk more of noticing how decked up she is just for him? What if he even shouts at her instead of admiring her? What if? What if?

She met Fa'izah waiting for her outsdie the gate.

"Finally!" She squealed "you need to see how huge and more handsome he is now Aysha. Come, let's go___he's having lunch right now and that's the perfect way to see him and maybe talk to him." She said as she tugged Aysha's hand towards their house.

They heavy cologne she inhaled right at the doorstep to the living room made hee heart beat increase . He surely is back, and still uses the perfume she had known him with since.

"As salaamu alaikoom. Good afternoon Mama" Aysha greeted Mama Karima who was seated on one of the couches in the living room.

"Afternoon my daughter. How are you? And your mom? Been wanting to go and see her but was busy preparing for the arrival of your brother. Ya aikin? (How is work?)

"Fine, Alhamdulillah Mama

. She knows you've been busy, she sends hee regards and said she'll come in later and see her son."

"Lol, I'll wait for her then. Go on, go ahead and serve yourself some food okay?"

"Okay Mama. Thank you."

"Come" Fa'izah grabbed her hand and tugged her towards the dining room "Say Hi to Yaya and his friend first before we go."

She gulped, smiling weakly at her friend while Fa'izah squeezed her hand reassuringly before smiling.

"You can't be serious man." They heard Fadeel's deep voice as they approached the area.

"Am very serious Man. Trust me, you'll like her__it's high time you settle down seriously. You ain't getting any younger you know."

"I still haven't found her that's why. She's got to be perfect! Like way too perfect."

"Yaya!" Fa'izah squealed kissing his cheeks. "Do you remember her?" She added pulling Aysha in front of him.

"Good afternoon" Aysha greeted slowly ducking her head down. His gaze burned her, and made her feel uncomfortable. How the heck can his gaze make her breath hitch? She wondered.

"Afternoon" he replied dryly before turning his attention to his friend who has been looking at Aysha since she stepped in.

"As i was saying, i still haven't found her."

"Yaya, don't you remember her? Aysha ce fa, yar gidan Baba Ibrahim. (She's Baba Ibrahim's daughter o)"

"Ohh really? That's nice. Pass me that bowl will you?" He said, referring to Aysha as he smiled. And that smile, just that smile almost made Aysha's heart lurch out.

She took the bowl with shaky hands and as she looked up, she lucked eyes with him and he smirked. Inhaling deeply, she approached his side and as she tried to keep the bowl of chicken pepper soup, she missed a step as she looked at him and poured all the content on him.

"What the fu*k! He yelled angrily as he stood up. "Shit! Shit! Shit!! What sort of clumsy woman is this!" He banged his fist on the table angrily as he looked down his cloth.

"I...i......"

"Shut the fu*k up! Shut up.

. What the hell is wrong with you? Ain't you gonna apologize?" He snapped angrily.

Tears roll down from  Aysha's cheek while Fa'izah hugged her by her side.

"I...i..I'm so...r...ry." She stuttered, desperately hoping for a way to leave the room.

"I ought to be. I ain't gonna take shits like this, you gonna clean this place up and wash my clothes in the next thirty minutes___okay?"

"Y...y..es."

"Man, easy please." His friend tried to intervane.

"Stay out of this man. She needs someone to teach her a lesson. And am gonna be that someone."

"Yayaa mana...." Fa'izah drawled pouting.

"What are you waiting for?!" He snapped at Aysha again completely ignoring the pleading eyes of his sister and friend.

Aysha wiped her tears, hating herself for making him angry the first time they've met after so many years.

Damn! First meeting went wrong, and maybe he'll hate her for this forever.

Seated across each other in the garden, Amirah listened attentively as Aysha narrated what happened in the afternoon.

"Did you wash the clothes?"

"Yes. Its not that hard you know." Aysha answered trying to sound strong.

"When did you start washing your own clothes talkmore of another person's own? Seriously?" Amirah asked as she arched her brow.

"Well, what do you want me to do? Say i won't do it and anger him the more? OmiAllah, you haven't even seen him yet Amirah, he's so Handsome. And his voice? His voice can make you do anything without he even asking." Aysha replied dreamily.

Amirah looked at her closely, wondering how Aysha feel this deep. But will she just seat around and watch Aysha And Fa'izah be happy while she's tied in the shackles of poverty? Impossible.

"So now,  what's your next move?"

"I don't know. But I'll do everything i can to make up to him. I don't want him to be angry at me that much."

"Everything?" Amirah asked slowly.

"Yeah. Everything within my power."

An idea quickly popped into Amirah's brain. Why not push Aysha into destroying herself all alone? This is the perfect time to start.

"I think i have an idea on how you're going to make it up to him."
