Made - Episode 38

 

I was floating in a cloud, Wearing a crown. Beside me rod my king on a white Unicorn. The joy in me was so profound. I was literally on top of the cloud riding with him who my heart most endeared. His crown shone like never before as he rode beside me.

Slowly he lifted his hand and held mine in his. I felt the symphony in the uniformity of the rythm of both the cloud and the unicorn . I knew i was safe we were soaring at equal speed and our hearts also beat together in the symphony. I closed my eyes and enjoyed my ride. Not knowing where i was going and how long it would last. 

Suddenly i felt a slight change in the speed. I wasn't slowing down or going faster rather, i was falling at a high velocity, feeling the change of altitude.

"David!" I screamed on top of lungs but my attempts to call him were drowned in the silence. Silence so deep that i could hear it sound. The emptiness was deep it broke my heart. As i endlessly fell i could feel hot tears of hopelessness burning my Cheeks.

"David..." i whispered again to myself.

"Where are you my love?" I kept asking weakly hoping that at one moment he would grab me and stop the fall. It felt like ages

. I continued to fall of the sky. No sign of life around me only hopelesness and despair.

"Mummy!" I heard her call.

"Mummy?" I asked suprised

Like a button pressed, the falling stopped. I hung loosely on the air.

"Mummy!!!" The voice called again.

My heart swelled like i knew her that called my name.

"Yes baby." I responded without hesitation.

Then i began to soar.

"She is awake!" I heards someone say.

Slowly i opened my eyes.

"She is awake." I heard her clear this time, it was Alicia my sister.

"Doctor she is awake!" She was now screaming.

The memories came flooding back in. There was a blast and David was in it.

"David... where is David." I asked "I want to see David."

"David is fine you need to relax."

I remembered his blood soaked shirt how he had struggled to remove the block that landed on him. So he survived? Or were they just lying to me to get me to calm down. 

"I want to see him_ now." I said with finality.

The doctor who had walked in continued to examine me ignoring what i just asked for.

"I want to see him now!" I screamed while trying to get up only to land back on top of the bed. I was to weak to make any move. 

"Mrs. Erickson we need you to rest now. You body organ suffered severe shock due to limited supply of oxygen and blood. You crushed like ten times. Its a miracle you are finally back to us."

Finaly accepting defeat i rest my back on hospital pillow hands defiantly crossed against my chest.

"Your husband is fine. He is currently on sedatives. He had a few injuries on the leg and stomach area but he is going to be fine. You will see him soonest." The nurse added tucking me in properly.

Alicia who had been patiently waiting by landed on me causing me to wince.

"Go slow tiger am still in pain." I said giving her a weak smile.

"I thought you were going to die. It was so hard watching you crush over and over again. Am just so happy you are okay."

"Am happy too." She leaned on me again this time gently hugging me. Soon enough my mum dad, Rachael and Philip came rushing to me side. 

"My baby!" Mum exclaimed touching my fore head and cheeks tears streaming down her face. She folded her arms to her bossom. Dad stood holding her shoulders.

"My daughter how are you feeling?" Rachael asked concern written all over her face.

"Am okay ma.. how is David."

"David is okay you will see him soon."

After my parents and mother in law stopped fussing over me they left room for Philip. He has been standing quitely at the corner. 

"Are you okay... oh am sorry _ such a stupid question i know you are not okay. How are you holding up?" Philip asked while sitting on my hospital bed.

"Am hanging in there. I don't know what happened i just remember the loud bang...you screaming on the phone and David's blood soaked shirt.... is he okay?"

"He is." Phil assuared me.

"What happened?"

"It was a small bomb under your seat at the boardroom targeting you and David. Any other person was collateral damage."

"Was there any casualities?" My heart was now drumming against my chest.

"Fortunately no a few bruises here and there.

"It is God."

"It is God." Philip repeated

We sat in silence. I recalled few of the details of what happened.

"Who would do this?" 

"Maggie." He responded.

"Maggie? How would you know?"

"She called me and told me before it happened, Mary was her inside man all this time."

"Wow who would have thought."

"The most important thing is you are now okay." He added.

"How are Peter and Mercy."

"Mercy is so worried about you here. She just left to go change. I know she will be back soon."

"Okay.  Thanks Philip for being here."

"Its always my pleasure. I better get going. I need to make a statement to the press in the next hour."

"Okay see you later. Good luck l. You will need it with the paparazzi."
