**** JASON'S POV

"Isn't it such a beautiful sight?"

Alex asks from behind me sniffing and wiping nonexistent tears.

I roll my eyes.

"Don't be stupid."

"You can't deny it"

he fake cries and I chuckle

"I know Alex"

There was silence as we all stare at Hailey seated on the ground crying and planting several kisses on Olivia's face, muttering several 'I love yous' and

"I'm sorry."

I smile at the scene and step back.

"We should give them some alone time"

I suggest and turn to find my sister glaring at me like she wanted to murder me.

Oops. 

I grin at her but I receive a snort from her.

"Hey, little one I'm sorry. I've been pretty occupied today . I'm so sorry"

I apologise but she just glares at me.

Oh boy, this is gonna be difficult.

I turn to Alex for help but he just shrugs and chews on a pastry.

Did he just saunter to the kitchen for food without permission.

This guy is impossible.

"Come on Tess. At least give me a hug

"Nothing!"

She turns up her nose and walks away..

"Women! Their yes means no and no means yes."

I shake my head and walk towards Hailey.

I kneel before her and c*ress her beautiful face.

She lifts her head up and stares at me.

"Oh Jason!"

She releases Olivia and hugs me tightly sobbing.

"Don't cry Hails. You might wake up with a headache tomorrow"

I rub her back but she only sobs harder.

"No one. No one has ever done anything like this for me ever. I owe you my life Jason. You've given me hope, happiness. Something I lost years ago but you brought them back. Thank you so much"

she cries and my heart breaks for this fragile woman.

"I would give you more Hailey. So much more"

She sniffs and disengages from our hug.

"I have to talk to Alex. I'll be back okay?"

I tell her and she nods. I turn to my baby.

"Do you want to come with daddy honey?"

I ask and she shakes her head so fast I thought her neck will break.

Oh well, I knew she would refuse.

"Okay. Stay with your mommy. Daddy will be back soon okay princess?"

She nods and leans further into Hailey.

I kiss her cheeks and get up.

"Let's go to my room Alex"

"So what's the plan Jason?"

Alex asks me as he munches on the pastries.

"Who gave you the right to enter my kitchen and serve yourself dude?"

I frown

"Oh please. You practically live in my apartment too. Should I remind you of the clothes you've left scattered all over my room?"

I sigh.

I guess it's a fair game. I march over to him and grab a few pastries myself.

I'm so damn hungry.

I snatch his glass of wine and gulp everything.

"Hey! That was mine"

I ignore him and pull out my strategy book.

"So here's the plan"

"You sure about this?"

Alex cuts in

"About saving Hailey? I'm more than a hundred percent sure. She's suffered in bondage far too long and it's high time she gains her freedom..."

I pause when I notice Alex looking at me funny.

"What?"

I question but he gestures to the door and i turn to find Theresa standing in the doorway stating at us.

Oh crap!

"Uhh. Hello Tess. Whatsup!"

I try to sound cool. 

I sound cool right? I hope she didn't hear.

"Don't pretend big brother. I heard what you're planning to do for Hailey. In fact incase you need extra help, you can count on me"

she says walking further into the room.

We both stare at her dumbfounded.

Noticing our expression, she rolls her eyes.

"I know the kind of trouble she is in Jason. I know about her molestation and everything"

Wait what?

"What? How?"

Alex asks in bewilderment.

And that was how Tess finally told me about what really happened on the night of her nineteenth birthday and how Hailey took a bullet for her hereby saving her life.

Words can't describe how I feel.

I'm shocked, flabbergasted, bewildered.

Damn, I can't even find the right words.

This just gives me more reasons to protect my girl.

"Let me help brother. it's the least I can do"

Theresa breaks the silence that had fallen betwen us after her little narration.

I glance at Alex and he stares right back.

We seem to understand what the other wants to say because we both nod simultaneously.

I sigh.

If Tess wants to help,then we need change of plans ASAP.

"OK. Let me check on Hailey. We don't want her hearing our conversation and I need to ask someone something"

I get up and walk out towards the cellar where the bugger is still tied up.

Yep I didn't free him.

I still need him.

THERESA'S POV

Several minutes pass before my brother steps back into the room.

"Olivia and her mother are drawing at the moment. So they won't be coming here anytime soon"

he says and I just nod.

I'm still in shock about that little surprise.

Hailey? Olivia's mother? Wow.

"Okay. What are the plans?"

My brother's rather cute friend asks.

"Okay. Since you decided to help,we're changing our plans. There's this man tied up in the cellar downstairs and he gave me a rather useful info."

My mouth drop open at the revelation of my brother having a man tied up in this house.

He continues nevertheless.

"First let's go over our props. Alex ready?"

"Yep"

he replies taking out a tiny book and pen

"So, bulletproof jacket"

Jason asks

"Check!"

Alex answers marking his book.

"Fake blood"

"Check!"

"Drugs"

"Check!"

"Tranquilizer darts"

"Check!"

"Fake bullets"

"Check"

"Wait hold on. Where did you get fake bullets from?" 

I ask and he grins mischievously.

"Let's just say I happened to find out by chance, that dad supplies a certain movie production house with first aid supplies and drugs so I just stole their contact and made a deal with them. They give me a few of their fake bullets they use in shooting movies and I'll give them free medical supplies for a month"

I gasp

"you're so dead if dad finds out."

"It's his fault for being so grumpy besides his company is so big he won't notice a few items missing"

he states and I laugh.

"So here's the plan. The duel will take place at fiery park at 7:00pm tomorrow. I have information that the one I'm going to fight against will arrive an hour before me and we're going to use that to our advantage. And that'd where you come in Tess. You'll arrive at the park while no one is around and distract him and then Alex will strike. Alex will hit the man from behind with a tranquilizer dart and he'll go unconscious for hours and you Alex, are going to take off his clothes and wear. But we need you to look exactly like him, that's why I made a few calls minutes ago and a plastic facial mask shall be ready by tomorrow. Here's the picture of the man who's going to fight me. He looks pretty big like hulk and thank God you look like hulk too"

my smartass brother tells Alex showing him a picture of the supposed man.

"But how did you prepare for the plastic facial mask?"

Alex asks the same question that was pricking my mind.

"Well I got the idea from 'big mama' an American movie and when you have an extremely rich father, you can do anything you want"

he grins and I nod. Smooth.

"Then what else?"

"On the battle field, you Alex will have to forget about our friendship and beat me up so bad so that they won't suspect you. And then when the time is right, like every of that Hank's tactics you're going to take me off guard and shoot me as many times as u can. And like the tied up man told me, Hank will want to confirm If I'm truly dead so that's when I'll quickly inject the Adenosine into my blood to stop my heartbeat for a few seconds..

. And then, he will order you Alex to throw my dead body into the nearest river or sea. And whiles their rejoicing, they'll be distracted and you Tess will take position with doctor Frank and wait for Alex to approach and then transfer me into the van and off to the hospital" 

"How do we confirm you're truly dead brother?"

I ask and he grins once more.

"Simple. You're going to post under an anonymous page on every social media platform that an unidentified man has been found dead in a river with blah blah blah gunshot wound with perfectly photo shopped pictures of course which i can handle. Give it a few hours and social media will do the work. It'll spread like wildfire and they'll think I'm truly dead. After my fake death, we all can lay low and then strike and bring them all down one by one because they won't see it coming. we will strike just like a snake targets it prey before throwing the Vernom. They will pay for all those innocent girls. But be rest assured,in case of anything, I have a plan B. So are you in?"

"I'm in! Damn it bro, you're a smartass!"

Alex grins and I grin too.

"Count me in!"

I smirk.

If only I had half of my brothers brain. 

I will be ruling Ghana by now.

"Tomorrow.."

My brother says then frowns, a deep scowl on his face.

"The player is going to get played. He's gonna get get trapped in his own game"
