FIONA - Episode 18

 

“So how has returning home for the past four weeks been like?” Michel inquired after starting the car. Fiona took in a deep birth. “Everything is still strange, like way stranger than expected” She told him. “I thought you had said that. But you have your siblings to help you catch up right” He asked, trying to get her to think about it. “About that, everything is so different . You know, I have been having this gut feeling that my siblings are not as innocent as they appear to be, am not sure they wanted me back. Maybe I am overreacting but since I came back, we like to fight for every little thing. I can sometimes feel the discomfort from my family when I try to make certain decisions or do something.” Fiona stated, not even sure of what she was saying. “What? Don't tell me you think your own siblings have something to do with your disappearance, never thought you were this paranoid” Michel smirked . “Anyways, lets forget them, will kill the dog just when it's about to strike” She told Michel”.

He thought of telling her about Mr. Lee but thought he should later and not spoil their first official date by ruining the moment with her family discussion. “Let the sleeping dog rest,” he thought.

“By the way, I meant it when I said you look beautiful in that dress” He complimented

. “Are you sure, I am only beautiful in this dress?” She teased, sending those puppy eyes as if expecting more. “Okay, fine, you have always looked beautiful” he affirmed and they both laughed.

The drive was about fifteen minutes and they soon arrived at a very luxurious building, there in Capital city. The building had bright lights all around it but the light became moderate and little dull as to move to where they both were directed. so much green flowers, beautiful roses, and a huge water foundation to the special place Michel had booked. She stared at the place and loved every bit of the look and was very quiet and empty even with its vastness.” They both were directly to a seat where he first helped her sit before moving to take her seat.

“You aren't trying to disgrace me, are you?” She joked after seeing the shrimp and much of her favorite food on the place. “Nope, just wanna have fun with all of your favorite dishes'' Michel teased. She laughed and somehow he got caught looking straight into those brown eyes with so much admiration. “If you're gonna keep looking at me like that, I will just have to serve myself along with the dish’ Fiona teased. “Lets say, I will obliged” Michel joked also and they both laughed even harder.

They had some food while lecturing and sometimes just silence staring at each other. It was fun and remarkable until Michel broke the silence. They both tried hard not to discuss family or business, just pleasure during their date.

“Wanna took a look around the place” he offered to show her around and she agreed. “Come to think of it, you aren't going back to your city tonight are you” She asked after it hit her that they were both in her state. “Not really, I got my PA to make some reservations here for the weekend” He told her as he took her hands in his and they both went touring the place. “For this dinner” she asked. “Not really… for you” he said, fully turning towards her. “That means, I am gonna be having you all to myself for the weekend” She said closing the gap between them.

He placed his right hands behind her and pulled her towards him, covering every inch between them. “You look very hot when you do that” Fiona said seductively. “Am glad you like this bad boy” Michel joked and moved his lips closer. She too moved her closer as she sent her eyes flying close, slowly. Their lips were closer with almost no inch between. Just as they were about to touch each other when a voice came from other side

“I thought I had seen you here” a strange lady's voice interrupted them.

“Angelica?” Michel's heart sank with shock written all over his face. “You know her” Fiona asked Michel who seemed to be in the middle between death and life. “So it's her, the one who you neglected me for” Angelica spoke. “Excuse me, who are you”. Fiona asked not understanding what was going on. “I am his wife” Angelica spoke out. “Dead wife, Michel corrected as if the “I am his wife brought him back to life”. “I mean, you are supposed to be dead” Michel said looking at Angelica. She moved closer to him and lifted her right hands to the left of his face. “But I am back. I didn't die in the accident. I have missed you so much my love. We can still be together. I always thought you would be happy to see me”. She started crying. “Of course, I am happy to see you,” Michel replied, still not getting how everything suddenly happened. Was she really alive? Was he hallucinating? Is she really Angelica? What was really going on?

“I will just excuse you” Fiona replied and headed towards the gate. “Fiona!” Michel called after her but she did not stop. He got stopped by Angelica when he tried to follow Fiona. “Let her go, you have me now. We can be happy together again. Don't you love me anymore” Angelica said forcing herself on Michel. “Angel, I don't know what to think or feel about all this. I loved you but you have been gone for five good years. So many thing have happened and things have changed.” MIchel tried to reason with her.

“So I no longer mean anything to you” Angel started crying louder. “Not that, I still care about you. But…………” He trailed out. “You in love with her?” Angelica added and he remained silent. “This is why you never tried to find me. You didn't love me!” Angelica said beating him on his chest with both her hands.

“Stop!! Just stop okay” He screamed out of frustration. Michel shook his head as to how his beautiful and lovely dinner had suddenly turned into a nightmare. He knew this was gonna be a huge mess. He ran towards the road to get Fiona but soon realized that she was nowhere to be found. Somehow she had managed to go home. He threw his hands over his face and screamed out of frustration, loudly this time. He knew Angelica was his legally married wife according to custom and tradition but now things were different. Fiona had left the place but he knew she had taken his heart along. He belongs with her.

“Clearly, I am no longer needed. I thought what we had was real. But clear moving on was so easy for you” Angelica spoke from the back moving closer to him. “Angel” Michel called but she just shook his head off her and got in her car before driving away Leaving him completely devastated.

When it comes to love, even the strongest man crumbles. This episode was so interesting. Was it really necessary that she showed up at this time?
