Jake:

"Andrew sent my bike back. Turns out there is nothing wrong with it.

It just ran out of fuel yesterday." I say while leading Sarah outside.

"That's good to hear. Andrew is very nice. Don't you think so?" she ask

and i scrunch my nose.

"He is okay. But i still think he likes you . Just be careful around

him. Guys are animals"

"What kind are you then?"

"Well, i -"

"You are probably a peacock. Raising your feathers up and thinking you

are a big shot." She says and burst out laughing.

"I can see you are feeling well enough to poke my ego, Sarah. After

forcing me to undress you and then forcing me into your bed last

night" I tease and she starts coughing. My laughter dies in my mouth

when the cough doesn't stop.

"Are you sure you are okay?" I ask after it finally abate.

"yea. My throat just feels sore. Come on, lets go get your date

back" she says and start walking off. I grab her shoulders to stop her.

"I dont want you catching a cold again so put this on" I say then force

my jacket on her.

"Thanks. Didn't know you were this caring" she says and i laugh it off.

"I just dont want to go through the hardship of sleeping with you

again while you gash your teeth and snore" I say

"what?! I don't snore anymore"

"Maybe i was just hearing things" I say.

"You are silly

. But seriously Jake, thanks for taking care of me last

night. I dont remember anyone doing that for me, ever." She say and i

can see the loneliness in her eyes. I wonder what happened to her

mother and why her dad doesn't behave like a father to her. He didn't

even bother to visit her last night even when my mother came to say

goodbye again just before they left.

"You are welcome sweet pea. Your dad did come and visit you last

night." why am I lying? I see her eyes light up and i know the reason

why. I don't want to see her sad.

"Are we taking the bike?" Sarah ask and i shake my head no.

"You might catch a cold so we are going to take a taxi."

"but am fine" she says just before she let out a cute sneeze. Even her

sneeze sounds magical to me. I think i am going crazy.

"Come on, lets have break fast first" I say then grab her hand. We

enter an eatery three blocks away and i order toasted bread, some

tomatoes and two boiled eggs. Sarah order the same thing as me except

from the tomatoes. She got margarine instead.

"Are you really going to eat that?" Sarah ask, pointing to the

tomatoes on my plate.

"Ofcourse, its delicious. Wanna try?" I ask and she scrunch her cute nose.

"That tastes gross. I love my margarine" she says then take a big bite

of her toast after buttering it up.

"Hmm. Delicious" she groans and i roll my eyes.

"This is more healthy" i say then throw a full tomato into my mouth.

Sarah just smile then concentrate on her meal. She does have a healthy

appetite for a tiny woman unlike the women in my industry who are

always on a diet. The way she closes her eyes as she chew just gets to

me.

"Wow. You have a healthy appetite" i say.

"Are you calling me a pig?"

"No. Actually i love the way you eat."

"Okay. Are you going to eat that?" She ask while pointing to the eggs on my plate.

"I dont like egg yokes so i dont want you to laugh at me if i take it

out of the egg" I confess

"Really, i love egg yokes. Its the eggwhite i have a problem with. Its

just tasteless" she says while scrunching her nose again.

"I have an idea. Why don't you just give me your eggwhites while i

give you my eggyokes"

"yea! Good idea. Here" Sarah quickly peel her eggs then hand the

eggwhites to me. I do the same and hand the eggyokes to her.

"open?" i say while pointing it to her mouth and she obey. I slip the

egg into her mouth and the brush of her tongue against my thumb nearly

undo me. What is this girl doing to me? I drop my hand quickly and

toss the second yoke on her plate

"delicious" she says gleefully.

"you look so happy" i observe

"food always makes me happy"

I am so glad i planned this even if i had to pay a huge sum of money

to get the whole eatery to ourselves so no fan would bother us.

"Okay, what do you have in mind to buy" Sarah ask as we are directed to

the female section of a boutique.

"I dont know.

. That's why i brought you." I tell her

"well, is she a skirt kind of girl or a trousers kind of girl?"

"I dont know"

"Hmmm. What's her size?"

"I still dont know that."

"Isn't she your date? How come you dont know these basic info about her?"

"Just get lots of clothes that would fit a very slim teenager of about

sixteen or so" I tell her and her eyes bulge.

"Isn't she a little underage, Jake?"

"I like them young" i say then burst into laughter. Sarah just look at

me like i have grown horns so i control my laughter.

"She is a girl i met at the orphanage yesterday. She wants to impress

this popular girl in school and i offered to help so calm down" I say

and sarah's face relax.

"Awwn. You are so sweet. I think i saw her talking to you yesterday.

Come on, I know what to get her" she says then drag me to another

section of the store.

She starts throwing clothes after clothes on me and i try to catch all of them.

"Andrew said they are about 6 teenage girls so we have to get a few

for them too" Sarah explains as she ransack the whole store. I can tell

that she loves shopping by the big smile on her face.

"That should be enough" Sarah finally says and i sigh in relief because

my legs are killing me.

"I want to buy her some outing shoes" i say

"Excuse me, are you Jake?" a girl squeal behind me and i smile.

"The one and only" I say

"Please can i get a picture with you?" she ask while shoving Sarah out

of the way. I hide my grin then nod.

"Can you please take it for us, miss" I ask Sarah and she nod

innocently. After a minute, Sarah hand the phone to the girl back

"you just took Jake, am not in the picture" the girl complain

"oh, am sorry. I think your head was too big for the phone to

capture" Sarah says and walk off. That's my girl!

"Am sorry but i have to go." I tell the girl and run after Sarah.

"Dont tell me you were jealous of that fan girl" I say and Sarah scoff

and walk off
