"So, Mr. Michael...?"

" I am Alex, not Michael please? And do you mind dropping the Mr? It makes me feel old."

She laughed. "Forgive me, Alex.Thank you so much for the gifts, sincerely I love them very much.”

The dude whose face he could see clearly due to the light coming from the street light. He was tall and huge, heavily built just like Adams  but with a tousled dark brown hair which was curly.

“You are a magnificent dancer Angy, everyone could see that, stop thanking me, you deserve so much more...”

Okay, he has heard enough, she finally met her secret admirer, how charming!

When he got back into the club, he went into his office straight, ignoring the pair of eyes that followed him .

“What’s up with Adams tonight? He’s been so cold tonight.” Omega said to Marcy who shrugged . She noticed that too and since they were just coming back together again, she had no idea what happened to him.

“I don’t know.”

Omega stared at her, “you don’t know?”

“No, I don’t and why do you look so surprised?”

“Well I look surprised because I thought you always know everything.”

“Well, I don’t anymore, so, you can keep that stupid look to your face.”

Omega chuckled, he was wiping the counter, “whatever it is, is really getting on his nerves. He has been acting all weird since yesterday.  Did you talk to him?”

She nodded, “sure, I did, we came together this morning.”

Omega frowned, “oh, with his roommate?”

“Yea.”

Omega was surprised and he smiled, “wow, so you are a team-Angy as well.”

“No, I am not

. I don’t even like that girl.”

“So all the time you spent in Adams’s car. You didn’t talk to this girl?”

“Nope, I didn’t.” She replied sternly, “we have nothing to talk about, we are not friends and how many times do I tell you that I do not trust her.”

Omega shook his head, “you clearly have trust issues.”

“No, I do not.”

“Did you see her some minutes ago? Dancing and wowing the crowd?”

“Oh I did. She is good, talented and beautiful. I give her that but those are the qualities that you men fall for and then before you know it, your heart is ripped out of you.”

Omega couldn’t believe his ears. He put the last cup into its place and faced her.

“This is about Adams right? You don’t want Adams to fall for her.”

Marcy was quiet, she cleaned her part of the counter as the last customer left.

“Do you have feelings for Adams?” Omega asked.

“It’s not about if I have feelings for Adams, I am protecting him from getting his heart broken again.”

“Like Rita?”

“Yes, like Rita.”

“So what are your plans exactly?”

Before Marcy could speak, Angy, betty and Candy came in, all giggling.

“Hey beauties, how are you all doing?” Omega said to them and they came over to sit at the counter.

“We are good Omega.” Betty replied, sitting down.

“So what are you girls giggling about?” He asked and Candy poked Angy with her finger on the arm.

“This lucky girl just landed herself a rich secret admirer.”

Omega smiled, “well that is interesting.”

“Told her to share but she wouldn’t, she is such a stingy girl.”

Angy chuckled and shook her head, “don’t mind whatever she says, she is such a liar.”

“So where is this guy?” He asked and Candy pointed to the man sitting at a corner of the club.

Omega looked towards where she had pointed and saw the man sitting at a table for two, looking towards their direction.

“Wow! That is one hellof a man.” Omega commented. “So did you ask him his job to have bought you all those two celebrity stuff?”

“Yea, he said he is no serial killer.” Angy pointed out and the ladies laughed.

“I would still love him even if he’s a serial killer, “Candy sang and Betty hit her on the arm.

“He is into housing and he sells jewelries, he gave me this...” Angy said, pointing to her neck.
 

“Yea, and these too.” Candy replied, pointing to the bracelet on her wrist and Betty’s earrings.

“Wow! You three already shared the goodies so why calling her stingy then?”

“Because I want the whole package with the man as well,” Candy replied.

“You are a smuggler!” Omega shouted and the three laughed, meanwhile, Marcy stepped out of the counter without saying a word and then walked away.

“What is her problem all the time?” Betty asked.

“Well, I am her problem,” Angy replied and Omega smiled.

“Why would you say that?”

“Well because I am not stupid and because I know that she is acting like that because she doesn’t trust me and now that I have found my secret admirer, I know she is going to tell Adams about it, more reasons for him not to trust me.” Angy sighed and picked her tray.

“Let’s go girls.” She said and the girls followed.

 

 

“Hey Marcy. What’s up?” Adams said as Marcy got into his  office.

“Are you okay?” She asked.

“Sure why?”

“You look like...well, maybe it’s just me, since you are okay, I guess everything is okay.” She said, taking  a seat.

“How’s the sales tonight?” she  asked.

“Much better actually, triple of what we had yesterday. Collins has been pasting the pictures of the three everywhere and now, people are coming in like never before. I believe that if we retain the number of customers we are having tonight for the next two months, we will pay the loan and pay our salaries too with commission.”

Marcy smiled, “wow, everyone will be happy to hear that.”

Later he stood up, “are you ready to go home? It’s almost four in the morning.”

“Sure,” she replied and together they left the office.

By the time they got out of the office, there was no customer left except for Omega, Betty and Candy.

“Hey guys, where is Collins?” Adams asked.

“He just left.” Betty replied, picking up her bag.

Adams looked around for Angy but didn’t see her and he didn’t ask, he knew she would be with her secret admirer so there was no need asking about her.

“Okay, goodnight fellas, good job tonight, we are almost there.” He said and was leaving when Candy asked,

“You are going without Angy?”

Adams swallowed and turned around, “yea, she is a big girl, she is having fun and I don’t want to ruin things, she will be fine.”

“No, no, you don’t understand, she...” Candy started but Adams didn’t bother to wait or to listen, he shut the door after her and she exchanged glances with Betty and Omega.

Shortly after, Angy came out, laughing with Alex whose shirt at the front was soaked.

“You see, next time you will try not to bump into a waitress, you are so lucky I was able to remove the stains.” She said.

“Well, thanks Angy, next time, I will be extra-careful.” Alex replied, “So I guess I will be on my way, it was a pleasure meeting you, and you.” He said to Betty and Candy who smiled.

“You are welcome Alex.”Betty stated.

That was when Angy realized that Adams’s door was locked upstairs, “girls, where is Adams? That is a padlock at the front of his door.

. Did he leave without me?”

The girls exchanged glances, “he couldn’t wait, we tried to make him wait...”

A sharp pain lanced through Angy, she couldn’t believe her ears, “Adams left without me?”

“You can come with me,” Alex offered.

“Wow! That’s true, go with him Angy.” Candy replied but Angy sent her a scowl.

“I am not a serial killer I told you that multiple times.” Alex replied but Angy wasn’t concerned about this, she was just surprised that Adams could go without her. She finally faced Alex, “okay, but you will take me home.”

“Sure no problem, do you know the way very well?”

Oh, well, she hadn’t really paid enough attention as Adams was always driving her and now she could barely direct him to the house.

“Well, I guess we can go to your house then.” She admitted, ignoring the look of satisfaction on her friends face.

“Okay, goodnight ladies and gentleman, don’t worry, she will be back in one piece.” Alex said before they both left the club today and the girls waved.

“But why would Adams do that?” Omega asked, putting things into place while the girls put out the lights.

“Well, maybe someone had told him about the secret admirer,” Betty replied.

“I don’t just understand all this drama!” Omega exclaimed.

“What I know is that, Adams and Angy are good together. Those two are in love without even realizing it.” Betty stated.

“You think so?”

“I know so and if Adams doesn’t stop acting like a spoilt child, he will lose her!”

“Marcy is already working on making him loose her. Do you think she is being a good friend?” Candy asked.

“Well, I don’t know. Maybe.” Betty replied and continued, “but she is not giving Angy a chance at all, you just can’t protect your friend without even knowing what you are protecting him from.”

“I think she is interested in him.” Candy replied. They were walking out of the club now.

“What?” Betty exclaimed, “Adams and Marcy, that would never work.”

“You think so?”

“I know so.”

“Omega what do you think?”

Omega smiled, “well, what I think is if he doesn’t end up with Angy, I will end up with her.”

Betty laughed. They were standing outside now as Omega walked towards his car, meanwhile, a car drove in.

“Isn’t that Adams’s car?” Betty asked.

“It sure is, what is he doing back here?” Candy asked and the car stopped just beside them. The windows rolled down and Adams’s face came up on the screen, without Marcy being in the car.

“Hey girls, I thought Angy would be with you?”

Betty and Candy exchanged glances, what were they going to say.

“Is she not here?” He asked again.

The girls exchanged glances again but they knew it was best they said the truth.

“She left.” Candy stated.

“She left with who and for where?” Adams asked, surprised.

“Urm, with a friend.” Betty added, you should call her, goodnight Adams.”

With this, the girls  walked over to meet Omega, got in his car, waved at Adams before they drove off.

Adams felt his stomach turn. She knew that Angy would have gone with the man, he just thought she would at least...anyway, Marcy was right, he shouldn’t have come here in the first place. He  put the car into a quick reverse and sped out of the place angrily.

OKAY WHAT JUST HAPPENED? EVEN I DONT UNDERSTAND ANYMORE. BIKO, ALL THESE FINE MEN THAT ARE ENTERING MY HEAD SHOULD FREE ME....I HOPE MICHAEL AND ALEX HAVE BEEN CLEARED...BUT WAIT O, THOUGHT ADAMS HAVE GONE HOME BEFORE? MAYBE HE CAME BACK AND NOW, ANGY HAS LEFT...HMMM....I SMELL A FIGHT COMING...
