Christian - Episode 10

 

I looked back at Christian in class and met his gaze, then smiled and turned back around as he smiled and turned ahead, this usually happened in class and it was very distracting but it didn't stop us from doing it, we had hung out in my house on Sunday afternoon after my parents left and I sighed at the thought that I had almost lost my virginity to him, Tunde and I hadn't even gotten to that stage and it made me realize that I wasn't as strong as I thought I was around him and I really had to be careful... 
I played with my pen as I wondered about  how I was going to  tell him about the party he was invited to...on Saturday.
 I turned to look back after class and saw one of my classmates, Theresa talking to him, she was seated on his desk and was in deep conversation with him,  she blushed and laughed at his jokes. 
Theresa was one of those girls who slept around, her uniform was contra bound, and her skirt was unbelievably short, she was from a very rich home but wild, very wild....I glared and wondered what was she doing with my boyfriend...
"So I got a date..." I turned to looked at Rosemary who had leaned in to talk to me, she looked excited
"Uh.."I glanced at her" really..."
"Yea, we met at my brother's party, now I don't know if its anything yet but..." I stood up and walked to the back of the class, as her eyes followed my movement, I had gotten to them though and looked at Theresa as  she saw me and leaned back.
"Hey, we were just talking about you" she said pleasantly "he says you guys have a study group and I was wondering if I could join in, he's easily the best in class now and I'm terrible with math".
I quirked my eyebrow as I looked down her 
"Its a closed group"I said 
" oh, I didn't know that"she said " but one more person wouldn't hurt"
"I'm sure you can find someone else"
"I'm sure Christian wouldn't mind" she looked away from me to him
He looked at us both..
"Uh, what she says..."
Theresa looked disappointed as she got off the desk "Alryt" she got in my face"see you around Christian "she said and shashayed away while I stared after her in a glare then turned to look at Christian who seemed unperturbed at what just happened, he arranged his books then finally looked up at me...
" what?"
"What was that?" I asked
"What?"he asked again
"That, you were all smiley and giggly"
He stared at me and sighed"she just needed to know how I was always getting good scores, said she needed help studying"
I squinted my eyes at him but he looked at me innocently, why was he so gullible, didn't he know she was trying to flirt?..
"Alrii.." I sat with him "just wondering, cos you hardly even talk to girls"
"Is that you being jealous? psst come on Sade, she's my classmate and I was just tryna be nice.."
"I don't trust her"I said
"I don't trust the guys that talk to you either" he said"but I don't complain" I finally relaxed and sighed
"So um, I wanted to talk to you about something" I said
"What?" he looked distracted
"um, I kinda told my aunt we were dating...and she wants to meet you.." I played with my fingers as he looked and stared at me"I'm sorry but it kinda just came out.."
He sighed"well is she nice or scary?" he asked
"You met her, at the mechanic's" I said and looked ahead as he stared at me in thought 
"Wow"
"You can say no, I'd make up something".
"It'd make me seem more like a bad person" he said
"It doesn't really matter.."
We met and held gazes "where we meeting?".he asked
"Eh there's a party, the Baloguns...my family was invited, and she wants you to come" I said, still playing with my fingers
"I'm too busy right now for parties Sade, we have exams coming up"
"You can easily just say no"
"Who else is gonna be there?"he asked with an eye roll
I swallowed "Tunde, that's his uncle"
He finished packing up his books
"Guess I would always be a muse in this rollercoaster game of yours"
"Its nothing like that at all, fine let's just forget it, forget I even asked" I said, he looked at me
"Just text me the address"
Was he serious, I gawked, I thought he was going to say no or something
"I told you I was ready to face the world for you" he assured holding my gaze in his..
"Alright if you guys are done making goggly eyes at each other, let's go eat lunch, I'm starved"
I turned to discover we were alone in class and Rosemary was seated alone staring at us, I blushed crimson and threw her a notebook which she successfully dodged...

"So have you guys done the d..doo" Rosemary asked as we applied makeup in the toilet before class
"What?"
"You guys were so absorbed in each other, I hope I get that finally with Daniel"
"Daniel..?!"
"You know the guy I was telling you about before you walked out on me...do I mention rudely.."
"I was trying to protect my boyfriend, Theresa is a slut and she doesn't even know it"
She chuckled and looked at me
"Are you going to fight off every girl that talks to him?"
"Yes, including you"I said
She laughed and turned back to continue her makeup...

I looked around at the party as everyone who was somebody was there, drinks and food flowed as everyone socialized, I used to survive this place with Tunde by my side but now I looked around for Christian, I had texted him the address and hoped he found the place in good time, he had an invite so he could easily stroll in without embarrassment at the gates.. I turned when I saw my father approaching with two men, one was older...the other a younger version
"This is my daughter Jasmine, she is currently in her finals in high school" he introduced and I bowed as they took my hand
"She's so pretty, just like her mother, would be glad if we finally medge the families"the man said
"That would be my utmost wish" My father said with a laugh and I turned to look at the younger version of the man and got the message, he too sized me up
" This is David, he's studying in Cambridge university, computer engineering, he's going to take over my business"his father said proudly
"How time flies".my father said, I held his gaze in a snort as he held mine in a bigger snort
"We were roommates in the university, your father and I" the man told me and I nodded politely
"Pleased to meet you sir"
The men walked away on purpose leaving me alone with the son who already thought he owned the world in his palms, I looked away after looking him up, surely he had better things to do than indulge his father...
"You know my father dragged me in here, and I thought the night would be boring till I saw the lady in the black dress" he said, I paused then realised I was  actually wearing a black spaghetti strapped gown as  I looked down at myself
"Oh, you got excited way too early...I'm taken" I sipped my drink
"Uh, you mean you have a boyfriend, tsk, that doesn't matter though, your father and mine think it d be good for business, so live your life, and have fun till I'm ready to take you as my wife"
I turned to look at him but he had already walked away, who did he think he was, why did he have the last word, what arrogance...I huffed in annoyance  and decided to ignore the idiot as I met the gaze of Tunde across the room who had been staring at me all night, he came with a date though and I was glad he was moving on..

. I turned away and decided to go join the women in the house since Christian refused to show up when Tunde suddenly blocked my path
"Going somewhere" he asked "can we talk?"
"About what?"
"About how I missed you and want you back, I know I was an asshole..but I'm ready to change"
I glanced down in frustration and made to go "where's your boyfriend..." he asked"aww, trouble in paradise or you didn't bring him in here because you're ashamed?" Was he drunk or what
"Would you just go?"
"Or did he stand you up" then he gasped" he did stand you up"
I glared at him"I don't  have time for this.."I made to go then heard
"Oh here he is...finally" I turned and saw Christian standing there, wearing a simple button up blue shirt and blazer which he must have gotten from someone but he was easily the finest man in the room, he saw me and came forward till he saw Tunde, and stalled in his footsteps
" it's funny, how much gold you've dug, you now get invited to the big parties"Tunde said
"Tunde.."
"What exactly is your problem?" Christian asked coming forward
"You took my girl that's what's my problem"he said in anger
"She was never yours to begin with" Christian said and they got in each others faces
"I could have you thrown out, this is my uncle's house, you made a mistake coming here"Tunde said 
"Tunde are you going to create a ruckus because you're acting like a child.."I whisper yelled at him
"I am..acting like a child" he said then he glared at Christian as I looked around at the many guests who were very important people
"I won't have you thrown out" he said" I'd wait to watch the drama unfold"he stepped back then walked away, while I sighed, what was his problem even, why couldn't he just let it go...I went to Christian and hugged him tight
"Are you okay?"
"I've only been here two minutes and I already want to leave.."he said
"Me too.."
"I feel constricted in this blazer, can we ditch after I meet your aunt?"he asked
"Uhuh, gladly" I pulled him along towards the building as  I saw Aunt Lisa with her husband sitting inside the house with the hostess, I stood at the door and made hand signals to her, while she saw Christian beside me and made her way over
"Hey" she said putting out her hand to him "nice to meet you..you must be Christian.." I smiled and looked down, guess she didn't remember, I sighed in relieve
"Yes, nice meeting you too, Jasmine says a lot of good things about you"
"I know right" she smiled at me"she's really my special niece, hoping you treat her well"she smiled but it held a warning with it
"Uh I hope to.." he was saying when my father walked over
"What's going on?"he asked his sister then looked at Christian
"Oh this is Jasmine's boyfriend, Christian" my aunt said, my fathers face changed as his veins visibly popped"I hear they go to the same school"my aunt continued, I looked anywhere but at him
"Nice to meet you sir" Christian said putting out his hand
"The pleasure is all mine" my father took his hand in a firm grip" so um what do you want to study in school?" He asked sipping his drink
"Uh, I hope to go into advertising, I'm good with that"
"Oh that's interesting" he said but looking at my father, I knew it wasn't interesting at all, I knew I was dead and grounded. He looked at my aunt then us
"Well, enjoy the party.." He said and walked away, Aunt Lisa smiled at us but we didn't smile having felt the visible heat..
"My brother can be a lil intense, but he's a good man" she said
He was?
Christian and I sat outside beside a pillar" I shouldn't have come " he said
" don't say that, I couldn't have survived that without you "
"I'm just saying I put you into much trouble..?"
"It doesn't matter, I ll handle my father" I said, he stared at me as I dug the earth with my foot
"Just call me okay, if it gets too intense" he said taking my hand in his
" if it gets too intense, I ll pack my bags and leave the house... "
He paused then chuckled
"You're such a bad girl, wonder when  you became  like this..."
"When I met you..I was an innocent virgin when I met you".
He looked at me"..and you're no longer a virgin?" he asked, I hit his shoulder with mine before we met gazes then began to kiss, then deeply as his hand went into my hair but then he stopped as I kissed down his neck as he held me to him...I didn't know how long I was going to be able to resist him...

"You just made me realize that I need to send you abroad as soon as possible, you getting distracted with boys". My father barked that morning after I came down the stairs" you've been going around flaunting yourself..."he continued
" father, I think I'm old enough to have a boyfriend "I said calmly sitting at the breakfast table as I made my tea
He glared at me"no your not, you're a child, what do you know about boys, I allowed you dating Tunde because it was good for the family, but this guy, who is he even, what does his father do? ", I rolled my eyes as I sipped my tea
"That doesn't matter father, I love him and that's what matters"
"You need to focus on your studies, pass your SAT and gain admission into Cambridge.."
"You mean with David, you think you can plan my life the way you want"
"I'm your father, what I say stands"
"I have my own dreams and aspirations Dad, you've lived your life, let me live mine"
 I  stood up and walked away into the kitchen and saw my mom who had heard it all, I didn't know if she was going to support me in this and I wondered if he was still going to give me the car he had promised when I turned 18 in two weeks time, but I just didn't care.

*Getting more twisted, Do you think she should listen to her father??
