Brothers - Episode 19

 

Isabel walked into the kitchen then turned to look at Richard, arms crossed

"Why is she still here Richard, its been three weeks"

"These things take time, we still trying to find someone to buy into the idea and invest.." he waved his fingers "you wouldn't understand"

"I can't tolerate her" she blurted"she gets into our personal space, she gets on my nerves"

"Or maybe its just you not being tolerant"he said calmly, unperturbed

She gulped "You did this on purpose didn't you, to get back at me because of Raymond, you actually think this is fair?having another woman with me under the same roof?".she asked 

" I don't know what you're talking about "he dismissed and went to get a drink

"She has to leave Richard or I would"she said

He turned and stared at her"you know that's gonna be difficult to decide, I have to grow my company "he said, she gaped at him" besides where you gonna go, Raymond?, I'm sure with the state in which he's currently in he won't like to take you in, but of course you guys can just continue from where you stopped"

She paused "Richard I'm sorry.." she said in pain "how many times am I gonna say that...proove to you that I'm faithful now"

"You think its just gonna be easy forgetting just like that..you slept with my brother, my blood" he blurted, tears formed in her eyes, she really thought he had forgiven her

"I'm sorry"

"Yeah, I guess nemesis is already caught up with him, he's lost the company, my Dad was stupid giving it up to him"he sipped on his drink" let's see him handle it now"

She stared at him lost for words, she had the mind to think he had a hand in the company going bankrupt but had no prove on it, she cleaned her eyes

"I'm going to stay in a hotel till you get back to your senses"she said making to.go out

" There's no getting back to my senses babe, Natasha stays, she's my distraction so I don't kill you, and I.need her for.my company "he finished his drink and kept the glass in a thud waiting.for Isabel's reply

" I wanted to go..you asked me to stay.."she said

"Because I had no other choice." he said"...I love you"

 She held his gaze...

"What's all the yelling about..?" Natasha walked in, she was on a yellow swimwear with a wrap around her waist, Isabel wondered why she had to be  perfect all the time, she glared at her but Natasha ignored it

"Richard dear i eyed your pool as i was feeling a bit warm, care to.join me for a swim, i ll be bored otherwise.."she purred, Isabel eyed her

" we were busy.."she was saying but Richard eyes were perusing down Natasha who was giving him the eye as well, Isabel gaped

"This conversation can wait...we could discuss that deal in the process" he said and walked out with Natasha...

Isabel stood there dazed for a while, she took the nearest item which was a glass plate and threw it against the wall, she held her face in her palms and cried, hearing their laughter she decided she wasn't going to leave, she was going to stay and fight for her man...

Raymond had not gone to work for days, he had been busy holding meetings upon meetings trying to salvage what was left of his father's company, it was almost completely gone, a ship carrying millions of naira worth of goods sank and then him thinking they could salvage that he discovered the company was almost bankrupt when he looked at the accounts, somebody had been diverting the money elsewhere but it looked well kept and Jacob could not say where the money went..

"I'm not in charge of the money..I just keep the books"he said

Raymond knew that was rubbish and ordered him arrested before he began calling up meeting upon meeting to  try and save what was left of the company which his brother was conveniently absent from

The board was pissed

"This really should have been avoided if you were more on ground"

"You mean I should have stopped a ship from sinking"he said sarcastic

"I mean you should have been more studious with the books"

Raymond leaned forward "This is all beating a dead horse, what's the way forward.."

"Where's your brother..do we take it that this company is not so important to him at this hour"

"He..had some issues to attend to..he doesn't need to be here, I handle things"

"Alrii..this is what I think we should do..."

Raymond dialled Jessica's number for the uptenth time but she wasn't picking, he didn't even know where she was..he roved his hair as he paused in his contacts...he dialled Isabel and she finally picked

"Please don't hang up..I know how this sounds.. I uh..can we meet up in any restaurant.
