Adele - Episode 2

 

Coker richard technology firm is located in the metropol of ibadan city, the firm is one of the largest self owned computer software company. It one of  various  companies  that was owned by late chief coker richard. The companies were being managed by his three sons, His first son coker richard jnr. Is the CEO of the big technology firm in ibadan, he had is education abroad, and had a obtained graduate degree from MIT .  After his education he came home to take charge of his father's company.
His other two brothers, Robert and kennedy also had their degrees abroad.
   Richard took after their father in looks, he is  six feet tall plus additional two or three inches, dark with sparkling teeth, and handsome in a rugged kind of way. He is well known in the Tech world, because apart from his looks, he is very brilliant and can be ruthless.  After returning to Nigeria richard got married, but the marriage that looks like it was made in heaven only lasted for two years, before he lost his wife to the cold hands of death while giving birth to their daughter, and that was five years ago.
  
 The black porsche car pulled to the car park of coker  richard technology  building, and richard stepped out of the car with a strict instruction to the driver to park properly. Richard entered into his office building, while his employees  greeted him left and right, and with a head nod he replied them, they all respect and fear him not because he is dictatorial but because of his no nonsense attitude, and in return he respects them too.
  He walked into his office sat down, and put a call through to his secretary, "mrs adepitan, see me in my office".

.  The middle aged woman knocked and enters the office, "morning sir",  "morning", richard replied   "i want you to bring all the neccessary files for the  martinez project we are working on, let me take a look at them before sending them out, and also put a call through to the head of human resources department i want to know whats being done about the vacant post for my personal assistant, it taking too long".   "yes sir" mrs adepitan replied. And left the boss office, so as to work on what the CEO demanded.
      
    Adele alighted from the cab, and crossed over to coker richard consulting firm building, it already 11:30am by her watch, and her interview is slated for twelve noon, though she looked composed outside but she is a nervous wreck inside, she said a little prayer before stepping into the building, adele walked into the reception area where a beautiful lady sat,  "excuse me, good morning please i have an interview appointment for 12pm."  Nora smiled at Adele and replied, "please, have your sit and wait" she pointed to where adele will sit. While Adele wait she brought out her phone to recheck what she had read about the firm, their objective and all other things that is relevant to the firm, she is prepared may  be a little bit nervous, she decided to listen to some cool music to calm her nerves while waiting  to be called. The job for the position of personal assistant to the CEO was not placed on advert, Adele heard about it from tiwalade's fiance, Goke,who happened to know about the vacancy from  is  friend that works in the firm. So adele was sure that few people knows about it and that will reduced the competition.
         At 12pm on the dot, Adele was called in, to the office of mr Alao the head of human resources department, she knocked before entering, "good afternoon sir" "how are you young lady" he replied. He gestured for her to sit down on the chair across his table, and the interview began, and mr alao realise that she answered all his question with brilliance, what impressed him most was her smile and the way she composed herself. By the time he finished asking all the question he had, he was sure that Adele is the one, but what remains is for her to meet the CEO for his final approval. 
 Adele was ushered into coker richard's office by his secretary, richard was on the phone facing the other side in his swivel chair so all Adele can see was his head, she waited for him to end his call. Adele was impressed by what she has being seeing so far, and coming into the CEO' office she noticed how tasteful and spacious it is, it was well furnished.  Richard was talking to Robert who was busy reporting their mother to him, "i promise i will see her this weekend, and talk to her okay, but i have to go right now talk to you later bye" and the call ended.
  Richard swivel around in his chair, and ask Adele to sit down, Adele was not prepared for how imposing the man looked, with eyes that looks like it sees everything, to say he is goodlooking is an understatement. And his voice and accent was just melodious, the british accent is prominent and if she were to guess his age he should be around thirty -seven or so she thought.
