Should I tell her…should I not?
I debated this on my mind. I was so confused . I had no idea why I was being nice to her but..i just had to, if no reason, perhaps because Vincent loved her and she was in a relationship with Fred too.
But what will all this mean for me? What if she has an hold on Vincent and she takes him away completely?
What if she knows about his accident?
What if her knowledge about who he is finally drives the last nail into his coffin?
What if...what if...so many what ifs?
I sighed and stood up. The result of the surgery should be out any time soon. I expected Vincent to be wheeled in any moment from now. He had been taken to the E.R with Freddie and the couple were with them but I had stayed behind.
I didn’t like that Tommy for any reason. Maybe it was cos of him that I never liked Anika…there was just something off about their relationship…
Tommy had later come to ask me for my price but I gave him no answer…
I just prayed vincent wakes up soon…
“Hi baby….”
I was surprised as I saw my father. He was wearing that stupid hat that I hated so much but …it didn’t matter…I couldn’t stop myself before I ran into his arms….
“Oh daddy! So many things have happened!” I cried against his shoulders

He hugged me tightly…
“You should have told me all these sooner baby…now you ve caught yourself in some web…”
I sniffed and listened…it was so comforting being in his arms…
“I know its hard but baby, sometimes when we love someone we seek their happiness before ours…and other times we just simply let go of our own happiness to make them happy.”
I sighed sadly as his world pierced my soul….
“First, you need to tell ANika the truth because Vincent will wake up soon and you will need to earn his trust back….”

I watched as the couple kissed and hugged their son whose laughter could be heard in the next room…
He still had wires all in his skin but he was awake and smiling. Laughing to something funny that Tommy had said…
“You did a kind thing Lisa.” Doctor Randy said to me.

I shrugged. “It’s what Vincent would have wanted.”
He smiled and was going…but he stopped and whispered to me…
“You know I think it’s safe if you tell Anika not to tell Tommy about the whole parental thing.”
I swallowed…..of course, Doctor Randy had figured the whole thing out. He is the doctor after all…
“I have been Tommy’s doctor for a while and I can assure you that he is not pure. He will not hesitate to get rid of anything that might come in between him and his family. So if you want to tell Anika, you need to be certain that she really still loves Vincent and that she is not going to tell her husband unless she is not interested in coming back to Vincent. ”
The he patted me on the shoulder and walked back to his office.
I sighed again. Maybe I should start looking into who this Tommy really is. After all, he now owns the building where Vincent was found. What were the odds that he was responsible for his death? Vincent died and his family became Tommy’s family. Something was so not right.
I turned back to the window , I saw Anika lying down beside her son, her chin resting on Fred’s forehead as she rained so many kisses on his head. Tommy was in a seat reading from a newspaper, but I felt a knot in my belly as I caught his eyes…fixed steadily at me…..
