Emmanuel's Pov
Tessy thinks I'm goodlooking!... Excited, i jump up and down on my
bed. Wait. What's wrong with me!. My plan is working and she seems to
trust me aka 'favour lee' but that's not what's getting me excited. I
am more excited about the fact that she thinks am goodlooking than the
fact that she fell for 'favour lee's' sob story. I knew saying i had
cancer would make her sympathetic and see me as harmless.
After she goes offline, i plug in my ear phones and dance to Chris
brown's freaky Friday . Suddenly, a sharp pain runs through my abdomen
to my back. Its very severe and i moan in pain. I try my best and move
to my night stand where i kept the pain reliever i purchased the
previous week. I swallow two and lie on my bed for the pain to
subside, then i fall into a fitful sleep with thoughts of tessy at the
back of my mind.
I am awaken by our housekeeper to prepare for school, all thoughts of
pain gone while thoughts of tessy take center stage in my mind. Am
whistling the tune of ed sheerans 'shape of you' as i walk to school,
when i spot tessy is trying to console her. I walk closer to them,
making sure tessy doesn't notice me.
"mom hates me T, she didn't kiss me goodbye like kacy's mom does her"
the little girl tells tessy while pouting.
"no, my little olive, she doesn't

. She loves you so much. Cause, who
wouldn't?. You are just too cute to hate" tessy says as she rubs the
little girl's shoulder. Wow, she seems like a good sister.
"hmm, yea. I am too cute so she cant hate me, you love me right T?"
"yes, infact, everybody loves you"
"do you?" the little girl asks and i see tessy turn to me. Her eyes
bulge out and that's when i realise the question was meant for me. I
may be out for revenge but just looking at this cute little girl undo
my hard facade. I move closer to her and squat so that we are at eye
level.
"tessy is right. You are the cutest kid in the whole universe. Unlike
your sister" i say the last part silently but they hear me.
"tessy is cute too!" i smile
"lets agree to disagree cupcake"
"i like you"
"well, i like you too cupcake!" she giggles
"my name is olivia, not cupcake" wow, i love this kid.
"well i love cupcakes, just the way i love you, so I'll call you
cupcake from now on" she thinks on this, smile then asks
"what would you call sister tessy?"
"umm" i look to tessy and see that she is blushing.
"i'll call her hot-dog"
"i love hot dogs"
"me too, cupcake"
tessy who has been shooting daggers at me with her eyes, clears her
throat then pulls olivia away.
"goodbye cutie!" olivia yes as tessy drags her away. I laugh then
continue walking, a little distance behind them.

. At one time, olivia
looks back and wink at me.
After tessy drops olivia at the primary school section, i walk faster
and catch up with her.
"thanks for saying that to olivia" she says without looking at me.
"saying what?. That you are not cute?. I was just saying the truth"
"well, you made her happy. For a jerk, you were good with her"
" a jerk?. Some people think i am a goodlooking jerk with gorgeous
lips though" i say and tessy starts coughing and walking faster.
" hey hot dog!. Wait for me" i say and walk faster too. She stops
suddenly, and i hit her and that's when she falls into the class, face
first. I hear the class laughing, then look down at her. She looks
like she's gonna cry.
" wow, you do look good below me" i say then walk away from her
towards rita who is standing there laughing with her friends. I see
ese walk to raise tessy up.
Well, my hard facade is back!... Today would be fun!
