Emmanuel is a confusing guy, sometimes i wonder if he is a nice guy
who hides behind a jerky facade. He said he paid for olivia's book
just to help because he heard me tell ese about my need and even
though i am not sure when i told ese about it, i still don't trust
that he would be nice enough to offer help without my asking. He
doesn't even like me . And if he wanted to help, he should have just
helped like a normal person but no, he had to humiliate me in front of
5 years old children. I took the receipt to the bookshop and i was
given the books. It was valid. N25,500 just to humiliate me?.. No,
surely he wouldnt spend that kind of money just to humiliate me. Maybe
he sincerely loves olivia. Who wouldn't?. She's too cute. And maybe
God used him to help me. I made that stupid deal with him so i
wouldn't owe him. I wonder what he would make me do as his personal
servant.
At the end of the day, he took my number, and gave him his. He told
me that it was so he could reach his personal servant at all times.
Even at night.
The only thing he has asked me to do for him, was to copy his English
note and do his chemistry and physics assignments. That's no big deal,
but unfortunately, according to him, i did the assignments so well, so
now its my duty to do all his physics and chemistry assignments.
"T, where are we going that i have to wear my pretty dress?

. Are we
going to shoprite or A.J?"olivia asks me. Its already Saturday, and we
are getting ready to go to the house of my mom's fiance.
"we are going to visit mom's friend and we will be living there, for
the weekend"
"why would we live there?. Doesn't mom like our house anymore?" she asks me
"mom loves it, we are just going to visit. And you know what little olive?"
"what?"
"mom said they have a pool, so i can teach you how to swim. You like
that right?"
"yay!... I love that"
"ok, now go and bring your shoes from the room" i tell her and she
dashes to our room. Now, she is excited about the visit. I know she
couldn't resist the pool. Olivia has always loved water and i have
been teaching her how to swim. I am not really looking forward to this
visit. After the stress of the week, i don't want to end it with a
weekend at a place i don't know. What if her fiance is a jerk?... The
only reason i am going along is because of olivia. I know if i don't
go, my mom would neglect her when they get there. So i have to do
this. Maybe it will go well and i will enjoy myself. Atleast i
wouldn't see emmanuel. That alone makes my weekend seem awesome. This
could be fun.
Olivia comes out of the room with her shoes then instead of bringing
it to me to help her put it on, she takes it to my mom who is putting
her make-up on in front of the mirror.
"mommy, help me" she says and i look at my mother to see what she
would do. And surprisingly, she takes the shoes from olivia's hands
and help her put it on
. After helping olivia, she abandon her make up and chat with her
about her fiance. My mom looks animated and happy. Maybe she loves
this one. She even agreed to marry him. I thought it was because he
was richer. But maybe love is involved in her decision. My mom told me
he has a son that is my age.

. Well i hope we get along seeing as we are
going to be living together very soon.
After mom finish her make up, we get in her car and she drives us to
his house. Olivia and i are in the back seat and i chat her up about
the pool. My mom smiles all the way to his place.
"wow!... Its so beautiful. Look T, there's the pool" olivia exclaims
as we enter into the vast compound.
"yes baby. Its beautiful" it really is beautiful. Even the gate opens
on its own. Wow, this is an architectural wonder. The pool looks like
its shining as the sunlight reflect on it. My mom parks the car and we
alight.
We get out of the car and i hold olivia's hand as we walk to the
door. Then we knock and i stare openmouthed in shock.
