Emmanuel's pov:
its Saturday already. Oh, i have been waiting for this weekend to
come. I hope olivia is ready. This would be fun. I would help her
loosen up a little. She doesn't do anything fun. She just thinks about
other people, forgetting about herself. I'll command her to do many
fun things this weekend. Oh, i cant wait to see the look on her face
when she realise that i live here . Hahaha. I am looking forward to
seeing olivia. I am happy that i was able to help in purchasing her
books. I wear my favourite t-shirt and jeans, then move to the sitting
room to wait for our special guest. Then i hear a knock at the door.
My dad is still in his room but i go to open the door. When i get to
the door, i see its Alex.
"guy, i have been trying to reach you, what's wrong with your phone?"
he asks as soon as i open the door.
"oh, it fell and i have not coupled it back together. What's up?"
"i told my dad about the pain you have been having. He suspects that
it is something big. So he asked me to call you so you could explain
to him better"
"at the hospital?"
"yea, he needs to carry out some tests too"
Alex's dad is a doctor and i asked him to tell his father about my
symptoms. Tessy and olivia can wait

. I need to see the doctor now.
I follow Alex and we leave the house. On getting to the hospital, i
tell Mr Alex(Alex and his dad bear the same name) about my abdominal
and back pain.
"have you had any vomiting spells?" he asks looking solemn.
"just once sir. It was just a stomach bug" the look on his face as i
tell him this, makes my stomach sink.
"Emmanuel, there is something i have to tell you. Your mother made me
promise not to tell you or your father" he says. At the mention of my
mother, i give him all my attention.
"what is it sir?"
"your mother had cancer. That's the reason she died"
"what?!. You must be joking. My mother committed suicide. I was the
one that found her in her room with her pills held tightly in her
hand. I held i lifeless body in my arms"i say, emotionally
"emmanuel calm down. Your mother didn't want to go through the pain of
chemotherapy, physiotheraphy and she said she didn't want you to watch
as she died slowly. We didn't discover her cancer on time so she
didn't have much time left. Am sorry" i just look at him numb.
"why i you telling me this now?" i ask
"because, my suspicion is that you inherited her cancer. Your symptoms
are the same as hers. But we cant be sure until we carry out some
tests"
"so, you mean, i am going to die soon?"
"if its still at the early stage we can treat it. Or you can go abroad
for treatment. Lets just do the tests" i just nod. This is information
overload. I have been carrying a grudge in my heart against tehila and
tessy.

. Now i hear that cancer made her commit suicide.
By the time i finish the tests, its already 8:30pm. I hail a cab then
go home. As soon as i reach the house, I go straight to my room as
nobody is in the sitting room. I cant see tessy right now. I have to
digest this news. I may not have much time left to live. To tease
tessy. Wow, what a shock!.. I have been pretending as a guy with
cancer on Facebook and now i may have it. God is this my punishment?.
I carry the picture of our family from my night stand and weep. No
wonder she looks pale in the photo.
