To Hate Emmanuel Johnsons - Episode 40

never knew well wishes could be so medicinal because i feel great

Tessy:
After walking around the city for almost thirty minutes searching for
the stupid cappucinno, i finally find it. I buy a cupcake with it to
appease emmanuel . I know i won't hear the end of it for my lateness.
Even after five years, Emmanuel is still a jerk. A goodlooking one
still. I sigh at my thinking and hurry towards the office. As i get
closer to the office, i notice a loaded trailer coming out of golden
tiles company. I move stealthy to the back of a car parked opposite
their building and watch their activities. I also use my phone to take
pictures. There is nothing unusual happening but i still take
pictures. After about ten minutes of nothing unusual happening, i give
up hope of catching them in the act. As i straighten to walk into the
office, someone catches my attention. Its prosper. He is talking to
the driver of the trailer. What is he doing here? Could he know about
their involvement in my parent's death and he's here to make them pay
just like me?. These questions fly through my head as i watch their
interaction

. Prosper put his hand into his bake pocket and slip
something to the driver. I use my phone and zoom on it. Its a gun. The
driver smiles and puts the gun out of sight. Oh my God! What is
prosper doing with a gun?. Could he be working for them?. No, it cant
be. Wait! Could it be that he is involved with them and that's why he
was on the bridge that day he saved me?. Someone at the back of the
trailer nearly sees me but i squat quickly and move out of sight. I
remain squatting with my heart in my mouth until i hear the trailer
leave. As soon as i cant hear it, i stand and walk quickly into my
office. Prosper is no longer outside. Did he go with them?. Something
must be wrong. There must be a valid explanation for why prosper was
there. My mind reels at the thought of prosper's possible betrayal and
i falter making the coffee in my hand to spill. This snaps me out of
my daze and i remember that i am late. Emmanuel must be fuming mad by
now. I hurry into the elevator which thankfully is free due to the
time of the day. Expecting to get yelled out as soon as i reach my
office which is just outside emmanuel's i am surprise when all is
silent. I walk cautiously to his office and knock. When there is no
answer, i open the door and allow my self in. Emmanuel isn't in. Thank
God. This gives me some time to brace myself for the tongue lash that
is most certainly coming. I walk back to my office and slump on my
chair.

. Then i open my phone and scroll through all the pictures i took
outside. I get to the picture of prosper handing a gun t the driver
and observe it. Sending this picture to the police would surely get
that company investigated but i feel like i need to talk to prosper
first. I dial his number but its switched off.
Five hours later, prosper's phone is still switched off and emmanuel
isn't back. I hope both of them are alright though.
By three minutes to six, emmanuel walks into the office. He tells me
to follow him in and i do. The coffee and the cupcake is still on his
desk. He picks the cupcake up and smile.
"this reminds me of someone" he says
"who?"
"a very cute little girl. I called her cupcake"
"called" i ask
"yea, she's dead together with her sister." he says and his face shuts
down. I know he is talking about olivia but why does he think i am
dead?. I go to ask him to elaborate more but he shuts me up with his
next statement
"get ready, we are leaving for ughelli this night, we will be staying
there the whole of the week, i already booked us a hotel room"
