The Twist - Episode 29

 

Amaka put the last of the pizza in a plate and carried it to the dining table.

She watched Chidimma with enthusiasm she ate her own direct from the pizza wrap.

She was glued to the screen.

The cartoon network was showing Tekken 3 animation and she did not want to miss any part of it.

Amaka had bought the pizza on her way back because she knew Chidimma is crazy about pizzas.

She equally love it too and she can't wait to hear her daughter's exciting shouts when she presented the pizza to her.

She was feeling fantastic after her sweet rumble-tumble with Jake a few hours ago.

Her life is no longer a bore.

She will travel to Europe with Jake and spoil him the more.

She had thought of how Jake rode her during their love making and felt a wave of sweet sensation all over her body.

She was so lucky to have him! knowing her daughter was waiting for her, she had drove home as fast as she could in her sleek Rolls Royce super car.

She was surprised when she heard from Bashir that Ruby left that morning and he had been the one taking care of Chidimma since then.

Anyway, she will call her later and knew why she did such.

She heard Bashir opening the gate and knew her wayward husband is back.

She moved to the window and looked out.

Mark was emerging from the Range Rover SUV with a wrapped pack.

She slowly sat down on and smiled.

What ever changes that made Mark to bought a pizza on his way home should better hold onto him because he will need it.

The battle line has been drawn and she had determined to come out victorious.

She knew he was doing all these because of Chidimma.

The Mark she knew would rather spend time drinking away the evening with his friends than coming home around 6pm with a Pizza.

The door opened and Mark entered inside the vast sitting room with a smile; the pizza wrap held high in his hands like a trophy.

His smile froze as he paused in his movement when he saw Chidimma eating pizza.

"Good evening daddy"

Chidimma said in her shrilled voice and turned back to the screen.

Mark slowly dropped the pizza on the table, walked slowly and sat down on the couch.

His face was drawn.

"So you are being decent because Chidimma came back? Oh! You even bought a pizza. Our favourite

Laughed Amaka as she walked up to Mark and stood in front of him with her hands akimbo.

She wanted to enjoy this.

Mark won't do anything stupid in front of Chidimma.

"Amaka please let's..."

"Shut up Mark, maybe you think you are being smart. Let me tell you one thing, immediately Chidimma go back to school, I will be travelling to Paris to spend some time with my new boyfriend. You can as well invite your girls over to the house and have a ball."

Amaka said and walked out.

Mark sprang up and rushes after her.

She must be crazy saying such thing in front of their only child.

Chidimma just sat there staring at them. He caught up with her in the room, grabbed her hand and pulled back.

"How dare you say such thing to me in front of our daughter? I put it to you that you have been cheating on my all these while"

"And so what? You wanted to play games right? Let's play games and see who will loose."

She yanked her hand off, moved to the bed and sat on it.

Mark stood there staring at her. It's obvious she is seeing someone.

A few weeks ago he didn't care if she was dating or not, but looking at the way she dressed these days, he realized she must have developed this new love for another man and the man must have been milking her dry without her knowledge.

Amaka saw the resigned look on his face and stifle a grin.

"Listen Amaka, stop this madness. You are a mother for crying out loud."

"And what are you? A he- goat? Mark you have been having it soft for sometime now, coming home any time you feel like and treating me like a leper. I think its time for you to ride it rough like I did a couple of years ago. What ever game you wanna play this time, I'm up to it"

She watched Mark sighed and walked out of the room.

Well, she had dealt him the first blow.

If he think he can smooth-ride his way into this house because of the presence of their only child, then she is fully ready to upset his apple cart full time.

She relaxed comfortably on the bed and dialled Ruby's number...
