The Twist - Episode 32

 

Jake had received a phone call from Amaka that early morning in the hospital and he had told her he was terribly sick.

Amaka had promised to come and see him immediately.

He was glad because Ruby told him she will be going to see her madam the same morning.

Things are working perfectly well for him.

Ruby had brought him to the hospital with the help of Tunde.

A yoruba fruit seller who was a jovial man that loves him like a son.

She had bought rice and stew and fed him like a baby.

He enjoyed the way Ruby cuddle his head to her chest and spooned the rice into his mouth.

He could not remember the last time someone fed him.

He had pretended to be asleep when she left to see her Madam.

The door opened and the nurse entered with a saucer containing loaded syringe and capsules.

"Good morning sir, Have you eaten?"

"Yea. I am also feeling better . I don't think I need that injection"

"oh you do."

said the nurse.

she arranged the stuffs and asked Jake to turn around.

She proceeded in injecting him and Jake hissed with pain.

The nurse smiled sweetly at him and walked slowly out of the room.

Jake nursed his backside and looked at the drip that hung above him.

He hated to fall sick and pray the drip will finish on time so he will go back home.

Home! Of course he have a new home and also a car! He had totally forgotten about the house and the car.

Amaka will love to spend more time with him and he can't reject her tantalizing offers.

But what will he tell Ruby? He can't entertain both of them in the same house.

He must explain things to Ruby.

He hated hurting her but with the money she will understand.

Money is essential to them.

The door opened and Amaka walked in.

"Oh Baby, poor you!"

Amaka said and hold his hand.

He looked at her and smiled.

what a beautiful thing! Jake thought.

"How are you feeling? I hope you are getting better?"

"yea, They will discharge me in a couple of days."

"Sweetheart, I have a surprise for you. We will be travelling to Europe for a short vacation as soon as You are strong enough."

Jake said and tried to sit up.

This fat lady can never stop amazing him with her mouth watering offers.

"Relax baby. I understand, but I needed it. I want to spoil you a little. OK you know what? I budgeted 20 million naira for this trip. I planned to buy the most expensive items for you in Paris but let's do it this way, I will transfer 15 million naira to your account and keep 5 million for the vacation. That will do"

explained Amaka.

Jake stared at her, 15 million naira! what a fortune! Amaka saw his surprised look and laughed.

Jake swallowed hard.

He imagine sailing through Amaka's millions, he will surely live his dream at the end of the journey.

He gave Amaka his account number and she transferred 15 million naira to his bank account. So he now worth 15.2 million naira under one week! Amaka reminded him he need to start a business.

"I will love to open an exotic restaurant"

"is that all?"

"yea, I have always wanted to own a restaurant"

"Its alright. You will own the best restaurant in this country when we are through with our little honeymoon. Just be a good boy, you won't regret it"

"I will sweetie. Trust me"

smiled Jake.

He pulled off the needle from the back of his palm, tossed away the drip and grabbed Amaka.

He kissed her deeply and Amaka replied with a smouldering kiss and nearly took the breath out of Jake. "wow! that was hot! I thought you are sick?"

laughed Amaka.

"The money you transferred into my account have cured me instantly"

replied Jake.

"You have to finish your medications dear. Just get well. I need you hale and hearty before we travel."

Amaka said.

Jake was overjoyed.

He will make sure Amaka get the best treatment the moment his is well enough.

With such millions breathing in his bank account, Ruby won't be that difficult to convince...
