*Tyrone looks at them and smiles...

"Looks like they've realised we are following them... Well no need to pretend anymore" he says to the other two men.

"They are coming towards us brother.. What do we do?!"

Emerald exclaims... She looks at her arm... It still hadn't healed completely. . Elvis grips her left hand tightly

"Run!!!"

He whisper-screams.

Darren brings his car to a hault and smiles.... Recalling their kiss.... It had been a week since their last encounter and he hadn't seen nor heard from her.. Strangely enough, he missed her terribly... Today, he felt extremely excited.. Finally, he had won his first case after failing twice... He managed to prove his client innocent.. Shaking his head, he alights and walks into the mansion. He steps into the living room to see his father and stepmother seated with their gaze fixed on the television.. His step mother increased the volume and that's when he heard the news..

"Attorney Darren Adams Benson, the eldest son of chief Benson has won the case pertaining to a fraud that took place in one of his father's company the Kathy's shipping company... Furthermore, a new case has been filed and investigations are ongoing regarding a scene that was caught on camera involving a powdery substance, alleged to be drugs found in the company's warehouse.

Chief Benson snatches the remote control angrily and turns off the TV before the reporter could finish.

"Congrats son"

Catherine gets up and hugs him... He hesitates at first but then he hugs her back. He quickly breaks away from their hug and looks at his father, hoping that for once, he would say something positive to him. Instead to his horror, his father walks up to him and slaps him.. The maidservants who were walking about doing their chores suddenly scurried in different directions in fear of him transferring his wrath to them..

Darren held his cheek in disbelief..

"You slapped me father?"

"Yes!! And I will do it a thousand and one times because of your endless stupidity.... Just look what you did!!"

"Benson please!! He's your son!!"

Catherine intervenes.

"Stay out of this Catherine.. Stay out!! And to you..... What would have happened if you had let that stupid man gone to jail huh!! Now my company's name is out there being dragged into the mud!!"

"Dad, that stupid man as you call him has a family!! No innocent person should be jailed just so your company can be saved... Besides, we both know you are innocent.. Some of your workers might be the ones smuggling drugs without your knowledge unless you are guilty!!"

Chief Benson's eyes burned with rage as he stepped closer to him and slapped him again.. He raised his hand to hit him for the third time when Darren caught his hand..

"Enough dad!! Enough!! I won't let you keep hitting me!!"

"You're a moron Darren.. An incompetent fool!! You're as ungrateful as your mother!! I regret ever having a stupid son like you!! You are no where near Frederick!! You fool!!"

He spat..

Catherine covered her mouth with her hands as she watched her husband spit nothing but venom at his son...

Darren clenches his fists in anger as he watched his father spew insults... "Don't speak ill about my mother dad... Let the dead rest in peace... I still don't get why my mother married you!! She would be turning in her grave by now"

"You good for nothing!!! Why didn't I let her abort you!! You're a thorn in my flesh!!"

"I don't know why this bothers you so much father... You should rather be thankful that it's been revealed that your company is being used to smuggle drugs illegally and..."

"Shut your mouth Darren... Or else"

Chief Benson growls.

"Else what? You would hit me again? Well then hit me! Go on! Just know this father dearest, whether I won that case or not, it shouldn't affect your salary or the food you eat. If me winning this case troubles you, then I'm tempted to believe that you have something to hide..

"Are you threatening your father you stupid twat?!"

Darren laughs humorlessly.

"You stopped being a father long ago... If you're clean, then be happy for me. If not, then watch your back father! Because if you have anything to do with drugs then watch your back!"

Darren sneers.

"You're an ungrateful bastard!"

"Says the unloving father"

he replies sarcastically.

"I really hope you have nothing to do with those drugs dad, because if you do, then I will personally take you down. Watch your steps dad, because I will be watching you. I really hope you have nothing to do with the smuggling of drugs because if i find out you do, I will personally haunt you down"

With that, he walks out.

Catherine follows him.. Benson paces up and down restlessly. No. If Darren found out the truth, he will kill him for sure.. He turned out to be just like his mother... Just like what he did several years ago, to hide the truth, he won't hesitate to do it again incase Darren found out the truth.. Even if it means doing it to his own son....
