"Darren wait"

Catherine calls after him

"I want to be alone please"

He replies opening his car door.

"I'm sorry about your father.. I don't know why he acts that way with you"

"It's no news.."

He laughs sadly

"What was I even expecting, that he would smile at me and say 'well-done son..I'm proud of you?' Hell no... It was my stupidity... . Please let me be Catherine"

"No i wont"

Catherine unexpectedly pulls Darren towards her, engulfing him in a hug.

He remains stiff for a few seconds before wrapping his arms around her, tightly.. He wasn't going to cry.. Men don't cry... But hell! Why did it hurt so bad?

Why couldn't he get used to his father's rejection.. Catherine winces in pain when she feels Darren's nails digging into her back but she doesn't speak...

"Let it out Darren.. Your father's words shouldn't get to you.. You're much more than he thinks. It's a shame he doesn't see it"

Darren hugs her tighter. He missed a mother's warmth..

"Thank you Catherine"

He says pulling away.. She touches his cheeks

She jokes and he chuckles softly.

He leans in and kisses her cheeks.

He smiles sadly at her, enters into his car and drives off.

"Run Emerald!!"

Elvis screams as they continue running..

Elvis glanced behind and could see that the men were catching up on them. He increased his pace and when he spots a man about to mount a motorbike, he runs over to him.... He quickly brings out his cell phone and forces it into the man's hand...

"I don't have time... Take my phone.. It's original... Some people are chasing us and we need your bike please.... I will call you after two hours to meet up with you. I give you your bike, you give me back my phone... I promise"

Elvis says all in one breath panting heavily.. The man gets off the bike slowly looking confused... He was still trying to understand what was going on...

"Goddamit!! Argghh.. Listen, we are being chased and I need your bike. Keep my phone. I will call you to meet up with you and return it... I....sh-t!!"

Elvis curses when he sees the men approaching.... He quickly mounts the bike...

"Emerald sit!! Quick!"

He screams and she jumps on the seat behind him and they off they went like the wind....

"Oh no!! They got away... What do we tell Chief... Damn!! He's gonna roast us for sure!"

Tyrone mutters as he stares at the motorbike that was distances away...

AT HOME.

"Ready?"

Elvis asks her...

"Hmm"

She nods fixing her gaze intently on the laptop..

"Okay"

he slide the CD into the slot and presses play and they both watch in confusion as all they could see a man and a woman in a heated argument in the video...

A little boy of about four years was sleeping on the king sized bed in the middle of the large room... There was no audio.... All they could see were two people moving their lips up and down.. From their facial expression and body language, they were arguing... The man had his back facing the camera while the woman was in full view..... Suddenly, the woman said something and began to walk away but the man pushed her back to the floor.. She got up angrily and tried to walk away again but the man got furious the more and pulled her back....

. As she struggled to free herself from his grip, he found a knife and slit her throat... The woman jerked for a few seconds and then she dropped to the floor, dead, her eyes widely opened, blood oozing out of the wound on her throat.

The little boy suddenly woke up and began to cry watching the entire scene...

"Why would dad keep such a video?"

Emerald mutters when the video ended.... She spared the woman another glance and she suddenly felt she had seen her before and the little boy too.. But where?!!!

"I don't know... We couldn't even hear what they were saying.... But it's clear that man murdered his wife or lover or friend... How will we know how they are related?.. Let's check the second CD to see if we can put the pieces together"

"No brother.. I need to go clear my head..."

She picks up her purse

"It's 7:00pm... Where are you going to?"

"I won't be long"

She says and dials Tonia's number as she walks out, wondering where she had seen the woman and little boy over and over again.

Quick Tip:- remember the night after Darren took Emerald to his apartment when she got drunk, she had seen a photo frame of a man, woman and a little boy? Well.. Can you guess who the dead woman in the video is??? And the liitle boy?.
