Several days after that, I saw less of him. He stopped bumping upon me or making my life miserable. For a while, I thought things were going back to normal. Even in class, he didn’t talk to me or even share any eye glance. I was supposed to be relieved but all I could think about was what he meant by he has never been with Emily . I thought about it and truly, since I got back, I’ve seen him with girls but none of them was Emily . I couldn’t understand. I desperately wished I wasn’t a bit curious but I was, I just wanted to know what happened.
“Hey, Hanna,” Rose said to me as I got to class that day. Emily walked behind her and as usual, she remained behind, ignoring me while waiting for Rose.
“Hi, Rose. What’s up?”
She smiled and handed me a card.

I checked and realized it was a party.
“I’d like to see you there, perhaps, we can catch up.”
I smiled and nodded. “I’ll try.”
“She’ll be there,” Matt said behind me and Rose laughed

. “I’m gonna make sure she does.”
“I bet you would,” Rose replied.
“Hello, Emily ,” he called out.
“Hey,” Emily said coldly before walking away with Rose.
“What’s her problem,” Matt grunted.
I shrugged. “I have no idea. Two years ago, she was the queen bee, not Rose. What the hell happened?”
“Vance ditched her,” Matt replied.
I frowned. “What?”
“You didn’t know?” he asked with a frown.
I gasped. “How am I supposed to know? No one told me.” I didn’t know whether to be happy or to be sorry for her. “That must have hurt.”
“Well, yes, especially when he had to dump her right after you left his birthday party.”
Okay, this is a double wow!
“But why would Vance do that?”
Matt shrugged. “Some said for fun, some said to get back at her for backstabbing her bestfriend, no one really knows why Vance does what he does.”
I sighed. If I had no reason to talk to Vance , now I definitely do.

Vance has a lot of explaining to do
Why is Elizabeth worrying herself with this Vance of a guy, she should move on as she claims she has. No need to talk about past issues if the person is less of importance to you now.
It seems she's falling for him already ?.
When you truly love someone and they hurt you. you walk away. you move on. But, it takes a whole while for the heart to do as you have done. A whole while!!! It is never easy. Elizabeth loved Vance and still does. Just that, the scar is already there.
