The attack
KANA
He didn’t say a single word to me until we were set to leave. He was still vexed with me I guess. I had tried to reach out to him ever since but to no avail. I really miss the lazy way with which he smiled at me. Eddy is tall with a muscular build, whenever he moved his muscles rippled causing me to lose my breath. His grey eyes a sharp contrast to his chocolate skin makes me wonder and get lost in the splendor of his presence
. How do I make him understand that I had to swap posts with someone else at the last minute just to be close to him? How do I make him understand that I chose to live next door to him because I needed to be closer to him? As I stared at the forlorn features of this magnificent man who never noticed who he was long enough to appreciate himself and develop himself I wondered if he will ever look at me again the way he did in the past.
As we set out around 0400hrs I could feel a slight tremor. It seemed like there was an earth quake somewhere.
“Do you feel that?” I asked Jason.
“Yeah, I wonder what’s happening”, he replied.
“We have to leave the main road”, Ed said, "Something is wrong... Hurry!".
So we ran forward and rushed into a bush nearby

. Just then a large hoard of Ominas in their natural form appeared in the horizon. They seemed to be going towards the north region which meant that they were either going to Edinhur or Minasota. We were on the path going to the east and we wondered how such a huge number got into the human realm. The horde seemed to be rushing though because at 0515hrs the sun was not far and they needed to obtain shelter before the sun comes up or find a human form.
From where we were hidden in the bush, without warning, Eddy began to sway. I rushed to him before he could fall to the floor and held him. His chest was glowing. "The seal", I said to Jason as he too was trying to help Eddy. There was a loud screech and we turned around and noticed, to our dismay that a group of about 20 Ominas had detached from the main horde and was coming our way.
"We n-ee-d t-o..." Ed tried to tell us something but before he could finish stammaring his instruction, a ball of light appeared in the sky and started descending. It shimered like a diamond but seemed to revolve around an object that had the shape of a voo-doo doll. The ball of light stopped descending when it was about six feet from the ground and released rays that was directed towards the seal on Eddy's chest; it latched on to him and started drawing him to itself.
