Darkness after light

I knew I had to do something, Ed was being taken away into the bright ball of light and no one knew what was gonna happen once he was sucked into the light. Would he be incinerated or would he be trapped? Jason was pulling him, trying to disengaged him from the rays that held him. I was looking around trying to know what to do but Jason was shouting at me to come help him. I went to help but the rays of light were too powerful
. I knew I had to act fast or all would be lost.
The Ominas that had been dispatched from the horde were not far away anymore and Eddy was no longer moving even though he was conscious; the light was obviously sapping his strength. I left Jason to keep trying to pull Eddy from the light while I drew my sword from its scabbard behind me and began hacking at the light but it did nothing.
The first of the Ominas arrived and I turned on it and hacked it to pieces. They numbered about 30 and we were soon gonna have our hands full with them. Killing one was not an easy thing because you llitterally had to cut off the head to effectively kill it while making sure it didn't turn around and sting you with its paralytic venom contained in its tail that had a needle-like point.
When the rest of the Ominas arrived, since I was trained at targeting the head heads I hacked off about 5 heads within split seconds but the rest were surging closer and I was beginning to feel overwhelmed since I was standing alone with no one behind me. Jason tried to leave Eddy but the light started drawing him in faster so he held him again

. The Ominas apparently were meant to distract us and keep us busy while the light sucked Eddy in and thinking about that told me that I could stop the light but I was yet to understand how and I couldn't think effectively while there were Ominas to kill.
Luckily, 3 people came in from nowhere and helped to finish off the remaining Ominas. They said that the chief priest had told them that the Unidos was missing and needed to be found and helped to the Citadel where an army was waiting so when they saw the ball of light in the sky they traced it knowing that only the Unidos could attract such power. They too didn't know how to free Eddy from the clutches of the light. Eddy was almost at the brink of falling into the light when the object in the middle of light caught my eyes. I asked the three protectors to carry me from the foot and throw me into the air towards the light. Since it was only 6ft above the ground I could get to it with a boost.
Eddy seeing what I was about to do began to protest asking me to let him go. We ignored him. As they threw me into the sky I leapt with all my might and used my sword to cut the voo door doll and it fell to the ground and in that moment the tentacles of light holding Eddy left him and he fell to the ground. The light turned into a raging fire and struck me hard with a ssword-like extension. As I fell to the ground I saw Eddy running towards me with tears in his eyes calling out my name and I smiled as everything went black.
