We got into the house and he put on a single candle away from the windows, as a matter of fact he took us into the inner chamber where his wife was sleeping and he pleaded with her to leave the room so the men can eat and also discuss. He expressed concern about the young woman who was lying comatose but said no more about it. I was uneasy about this whole thing so as soon as we sat down and the woman had gone away, I blurted out the question; "What is the darkness and secrecy all about? What is going on here?"
"The light of the inner room is gone
. The blackout is a show of solidarity for the house of God cannot be in darkness while everyone else basks in light. Also, there has been several records of Omina attacks here at the Citadel and so the curfew is also to save the young ones and the untrained from being lost."
The explanation was difficult to understand. The light of the inner temple is gone? Could it be the light that attacked us earlier? I voiced my concern. Could it be that someone conjured the light of the inner temple and used it against me? The chief priest was stunned.
"A large ball of light attacked you?" He asked looking at me incredulously.

"He has always maintained that Mangi was wrongly accused and misunderstood." The chief priest was saying, "I believe he is has found a way to conjure the light out of his abode and unleash the Ominas too. I believe he is the one trying to set Mangi free from his holding place in the spiritual realm."
"How do we find Kaku?" I asked.
"Sincerely? I dont know. It's up to you. We are counting on you."
Those words felt like a ton of lead on my shoulders. I was nervous because come day break, I would face the army of protectors to command them and give them directions on what to do. In my mind, one question was paramount; Am I really the right person for this?
