“So why were you now even asking us na. Apparently, you had made your decision already. You just wanted to know if we had a different opinion and go with your own decision nonetheless” Adesuwa said as she began to frown her face.

“If you like frown your face from now till next year, it will not change the fact that you are just being dramatic over what is not that serious. What’s difficult here again? The boy is nice, even you agree to that . And the girl likes him too. So? Please please, just carry your annoying face that side” Akosua said disagreeing completely with Adesuwa.

“Wait guys, I think there is something we are probably not seeing yet. I like Asante too, but she doesn’t want a relationship with me. Yet, Abraham just displays a little affection and you are saying she should go with him. Why should that be?” Ayo asked being a naughty boy he has always being and then smiled.

“Apparently, because your love for her isn’t mutual, but Abraham’s is” Akosua answered spontaneously, making her first logical statement since birth.

“Ah!” Ayo shouted out. “Just kukuma kill me. So you mean Asante has mutual love for Abraham of she met which day here, and I that she has known for how many months now, nothing? Let me just go home cook fried rice with chicken and kill myself” Ayo added still displaying his mischievousness.

Then they all laughed together.

. If Asante really loves Abraham and Abraham does too as he claims, then I think you should allow her give it a shot. Never can tell, something positive might just come to play. We need to see the bigger picture of these whole thing” Ayo said forming serious this time around as he faced Adesuwa.

“Awnn Awnn, you are beginning to sound wise and romantic too oh” Akosua said as she laughed out. “Am sure if you had been like this Adesuwa would have probably considered you since. But you decided to put book on your head as if it will give you a wife. See where book has brought you. Nonsense boy” Akosua added as they all laughed together,

“Well, if you guys think so, no problem. She should give it a shot then” Adesuwa finally said even though she wasn’t completely convinced.

Asante jumped up as she hugged her, like if she had not consented she wouldn’t have still gone ahead with what she had in mind already…

That evening, Abraham came to the front of the ladies hostel wearing a smile like one who had just won a jackpot. Seeing the amount of starch alone on his beautiful sleeve, you would be careful not to get blown away by the wind as it was very much like a plane parachute.

The mouth of his pointed shoes were like a fish’s mouth. The smell of his perfume was like a baby’s oil fragrance. Every single thing he wore had a perfect simile of love representation. Not forgetting that all of these were just to come and get the response of Asante. Just imagine what would happen to him if Asante gives him a negative response.

“Asante, Asante, Asante?” Akosua kept shouting as she headed to the room to inform her of Abraham’s arrival. When she finally got to the room, she began to pant as if she had just competed with the fastest Kenyan athlete.

“What is it? Adesuwa lambasted her as she had been busy going through a novel.

She simply looked past Adesuwa, as she focused her gaze on Asante. Without saying anything for some seconds, she began to smile like one who had just experienced orgasm. Then she made a heavy sigh of relieve and said “Guess what? Abraham is around. I think he came to know your response. You need to see his outfit. He is so lit mehn”
