Our Wife
Akosua led Asante majestically as she went outside to meet Abraham. With the manner at which the whole thing was playing out, one could easily think that they were probably getting married. But it was a far cry from that. Adesuwa remained indoor all through the drama, as she wasn’t still too comfortable with the speed at which everything was playing out.
Specifically, Adesuwa had a break-up about two years ago which has made her completely skeptical about ever falling in love with a man again. Her heart break was so massive, as she had met the Michael since she was in Basic four and they got separated immediately he got to the University, a year before she did.
Both folks were so close that Michael’s parents had become so fond of her then . They sometimes picked her along with Michael from school and were used to referring to her as Michael’s wife. Adesuwa as a child had grown with that idea of being Michael’s wife and have forgotten that there was a possibility of Michael getting to know other ladies and even choose for himself as time goes.
Long story cut short, Michael got into the University and forgot his childhood wife. One year down the line, Adesuwa had still not heard from him. Two years down the line with her being a first-year student, still Adesuwa never had from him

. She had finally concluded that they all were deceiving her all these while when they were referring to her as Michael’s wife. That incidence has kept her from dating ever since, even though she somehow has this thing for Ayo too. But probably Ayo wasn’t serious enough as to whom he truly wants – Adesuwa or Asante and as to what he truly wants – intimacy or mere friendship…
Finally here was Asante with the new man of her dream, Abraham. When she saw his outfit, she couldn’t help but blush mercilessly. “You are looking great” Asante quickly said complimenting his outfit.
Abraham was surprised that the first compliment had come from her. “Awnn Awnn, that’s so great to hear from you. It melts my heart and make me to love you the more.” Abraham said, still trying to add more touch to his previous lines to make sure she accepts by all means.

. I want to love too oh” Akosua said constituting nuisance and disrupting the free flow of words among the potential duo. Soon enough, she knew her presence was no longer needed as she gently laughed and stylishly left them.
There in the ‘common room’ of their hostel where Akosua had led Asante to meet Abraham, Asante felt there was no need delaying him any longer of the response. Especially, when she was fully persuaded that she was in love with him.
“Yes Abraham, about what you told me the other time. I have had an extensive thought on it” Asante said starting her speech.
“Yes my Queen, I want to believe that the results of that thought, is as positive as the dream I had last night” Abraham said still feeling scared that Asante would reject her proposal. Perhaps Abraham was really this in love with Asante, perhaps not.
“You are very funny Abraham” Asante said when Abraham mentioned the word dream. “It’s only in the movies I am used to hearing guys having dreams about their love. This and previous other actions of yours just further prove that you are worth sharing my intimacy with. YES, Abraham, I will be your ‘Before Anyone Else’.” Asante said finally releasing the answer from her mouth.
“Yes” Abraham said, as he moved his hands in the usual manner of footballers who scored a decisive goal would do. “My dear, I promise you are not gonna regret this. Am going to so spoil you that you will forever cherish the memory that our paths crossed.
Officially, Asante and Abraham are now lovers. Let’s see where this love leads them to.
