Love-Life of Asante - Episode 20

 

Different thoughts began to run through their minds: who could she be? Why was she calling Abraham? Why Abraham did became cold when he saw her? And so many other thoughts.

But of course, all of these remained mere assumptions. It wasn't really worth reaching a conclusion in. So in the meantime, Adesuwa and Akosua continued in the feel that came with the thoughts of remembering the words of their dates. The exact opposite thought was going through Asante's mind however…

"Gillian, I thought we settled this once and for all the other day? Why do u have to come here by this time of the night, especially when having this kind of moment with my friends?" Abraham said to the young lady as he began to rant.

They had walked farther from where his friends could easily hear what they were discussing or see the actions being displayed.

"Abraham!" Gillian called out, with both of her hands placed on her waist as she kept on bouncing like one who came ready for trouble.

"Yes, why are you calling me? That's doesn't answer why you came here unannounced . Or does it?" Abraham said stretching his voice as he felt the coming of Gillian was just about to ruin his soon-to-be love.

"First, you were the one who broke our agreement, not me. Secondly, I thought you had all the plan mapped out, but apparently you did not." Gillian said with her tone now full of anger with her hands still remaining in her waist as she looked past Abraham to the west admiring the moon when she finished her statement in anticipation of his response.

"Excuse me! What do you mean it was all my fault? Did I enjoyed it alone? Why act as if you didn't have an iota of pleasure from it too? Spare me that please

. Meanwhile I had nothing planned out. It was just a one-night stand and you knew nothing was really going on between us. So I thought u were gonna do what's right and we both forget it ever happened? Spare me the excuses please" Abraham said sounding firmer this time around as he tried to dispute the argument Gillian had against him.

"Well, all you are saying now is just your own. I have been looking for you for the past one week to let you know, your baby now lives in me. Please do quickly and come in terms with that. You know my house. Come whenever you are ready" Gillian said lastly as she walked out of him going through the front door.

Just when she was leaving, Abraham had the sound of one coughing. Looking back, it was Asante. She had come to check for him as he was staying too long. When she started hearing what the discussion was all about she decided to stay back without calling his attention until she heard enough to her satisfaction.

She was dumbfounded.

. Surprise and pain both filled her heart. Could it be that the very person whom she thought was a Saint was also a player? Or all guys were just the same?

She quickly rushed out back to meet her friends as tears kept on flowing through her eyes.

Apparently, Gillian was an old time friend of Abraham in his place of residence. Some weeks ago before he meant Asante, he had gone home to pay his parents a brief visit.

Gillian who stays in that neighborhood got to see him and as old time friends who had known each other since childhood, they had a long discussion. Since Abraham was to go back to school the next day, the conversation of that day lasted more than usual. Even though they weren't in a relationship, they had known each other for years and had this attraction for each other.

One thing led to another that evening, and they had a one-time stand right there in Abraham's room. It was so quick that before one could recite the Lord's Prayer, they were done already with the act. They both acted like one who stole a meat, quickly ate it, and then cleaned their mouth to have no trace. However that same meat soon became a source of running stomach to them as Gillian became pregnant from the act.

Abraham had a genuine heart for Asante. His love for her was as honest as he had claimed it to be. But with all that Asante went through lately with Bernard, meeting Abraham gave her very high expectations. Which has just been dashed.
