“What are you going to wear?” Asante asked Adesuwa and Akosua as it was barely six hours to the date, and they haven’t shown any sign of readiness.

“I don’t have a problem with what to wear jare. I will put on any of the gown from one of my clothes there. After all my date is not a stranger or someone very special that I would start running up and down like you guys to selecting a dress.” Adesuwa said as she put on her ear phone back on her ears and continued reading her novel . After all, today was a class-free day, so they had all their time to themselves.

“What about you Akosua? Do you also want to pick up one random gown from your clothes to wear or your date is as special as mine too?” Asante asked making jest of her.

“Am just laughing at you people.” Akosua replied as she squeezed her face the more with her hands on her chin like one who just lost her father-in-law.

“You guys think I will come with you people without knowing who my date is abi? Oya na, let’s see how it goes” She added further wearing a rather awkward face.

Adesuwa told her she had a date for her already, but has refused to tell her who. Asher being their class mate, Adesuwa knew if he described him for her, she will easily recognized him because of his size – even though they had not spoken to each other before.

Adesuwa knew with that Akosua might easily reject him and end up refusing to come for the date

. And there was no way they could have gone without her, or let her come and end up being the only one alone – so she had agreed with Asante that they weren’t gonna tell Akosua who the person was and that it would be a surprised date for her.

“You are too impatient! Haba!” Adesuwa quickly said blasting Akosua when she protested not going with them if she doesn’t know her date.

“See, as we’ve told you before, it is a surprised date for you. Knowing him before it’s due, is gonna ruin all the fun. Chillax girl” Adesuwa added trying to calm her down this time around.

“Akosuaaaaa? Ah!” Asante called her out as she cackled softly as she would always do, knowing fully well that this was really a naughty idea.

“Don’t worry! Am sure you are gonna love this dude. Just exercise a little more patient. Just less than six hours. Hmm?” Asante finally said calming her down…

Here were the six of them - three groups paired in twos. The smile on Asante’s face could explicitly tell everyone in the world, that she was deeply in love. The smile on Adesuwa’s face showed that she was just neutral, nothing so special to her. However, the expression on Akosua’s face was so awkward, that it spells out only one thing - anger. Not just anger, boiling anger. Hot enough to soften the back of a tortoise. Asher however had not noticed this.

“Thank you for coming ladies” Abraham said as he began the speech to open the floor before they would continue with other activities on their agenda.

“Believe me, meeting Asante is the best thing that has ever happened in my life. Seeing her eyes alone, make me feel like a super hero.

. It’s in her presence I will rather be all day all night long. Help me thank her once more for giving me the opportunity to shower her with love” Abraham added bringing his emotional speech to an end.

They all smiled sheepishly and clapped gently as there were other people around too having a similar experience in their own way to have a feel of the newly opened bar, which was just half a kilometer from their school gate.

Ayo did not allow them have a full round of applause before he raised his hands up that he had something to say too. Apparently, he felt that emotional moment was an opportunity to get the love he had for Adesuwa out of his chest with words.

“I have always longed for an opportunity like this to tell you how much you mean to me. But, the more I waited, the longer it seems it was getting and I had concluded it was gonna take forever for me to tell you what’s in my heart.” Ayo said looking past the other four of them and facing Adesuwa and her alone.

“I wish I could explain your eyes, how it gives me goose pimples whenever I try to have a gaze. I wish I could explain your voice too, how it makes me feel and gives me butterflies whenever I hear it sounds. I wish I could explain how your smile makes my heart beat, or how anytime I’m around you, I feel so complete. I wish I can really explain. Baby, it’s never too late to let you know that I love you. Let me that hero that will wipe away the memory of the past out of your head completely, without asking to get a credit or even pass. I just love you and wanna let you know today even if it will be the last thing I will ever do.” Ayo said, finally pouring out all that has been inside his hearts for months.

Perhaps Adesuwa would give him a chance, Perhaps she won’t. What do you think? Meanwhile, would Asher be able to follow this trend of romantic rendition to his new found love Akosua? Let’s hear what you think? Drop your comment below
