In The Mess - Episode 11
The hall was quiet as I approached, hope sipped into me, my p.ken didn't look like a rogue, he didn't resemble a cultist, I don't even want him to be.....but my spirit failed as I looked inside the hall and saw no lecturer, tears stung at the back of my eyes,I don't know if I'll weep,wail or cry...
"She's been sleeping with P. Ken! Vivian shouted, the whole class stared at me in disgust, someone threw a banana peel at me...." I hear he's paying her fees now, she's really servicing him well.....
I felt tongue tied, they were right,who would have told them so suddenly, ken?hauwa?my mind blurred up, I can't even fight for myself, I feel very weak, the only place I wanted to be was a quiet place, so I took my useless body and left main camp back to the hostel,someone should have warned me earlier,someone should have told me I'm a curse, that nothing, no one I ever met would be better. I spent my days, if not weeks on bed my phone switched off even Hauwa couldn't understand my plight, she never saw me cry and neither did I leave the hostel, Clara and Vivian gave me weird looks that could be defined as pity, I don't want their pity, they are the ones who caused this havoc .
It was a Monday of the third week that I left the hostel,I was planning for any one that would confront, they would tell me, if I'm their private parts that they would be monitoring all the time.....
Where have you been,did you go home? Your phone was switched off? I rolled my eyeballs, why was he one minute chasing after me the next chasing me away with threats
"Ken, stay away from me,you are the worst liar ever?
Why, how? he asks, sounding shock and confused, I had to give it to him for a perfect act
Don't act all dumb on me, mister Professor! he gave sigh and tried holding my hands but I pulled away,who was he fooling again, me?
Sir, I don't need your money again, mma Salome would still take me, you knew all along ,have you even realise the scar on my cheek,I think forewarned is forearmmed, I better be drop out,than get money from you, kene No.12, Nigeria football striker.
And with that I left him, I was planning for someone that ll confront me....
